Hi, I'm sorry that you got scammed in Bali, I begin to follow your vlogs since I myself searching for resort in Bali, and I stumbled upon your videos in Sidemen, and you both are nice couple. My tips for you, expect Bali will be crowded when Ramadan time, because we have really long holiday. Currently I'm still in Bali, and I feel this time of the year, Bali really2 crowded, maybe because our government ease the travel regulation this year after 2 year of strict restriction. I myself think won't be coming to Bali again next year of Ramadan, because the price of Hotel will be a lot expensive, and there will be a lot of queueing in restaurant. If you need help in Indonesia you can message me, I'll be happy to help.

Your content is refreshing and informative after all the superficial "influencer" garbage produced by everyone and their mom these days. I have countless hours of material from helicopters to luxury hotels and yachts, but don't even feel like publishing it, because it's so superficial and useless to most people.
We are travelling to South East Asia with my girlfriend for a few months on the beginning of June, so your content comes just in time for us to do some research. Thank you! 🙏

Well I mean this really isn’t the typical experience. Most ppl who go to Bali have already booked their stay somewhere and if you haven’t and your just traveling on a wing and a prayer, you have to expect that delays and frustrations could happen. You can’t really blame the place for that.

I worked in the hotel. Just sharing some info with you guys, it's not common to let confirmed guests to wait for 4 hours to get info whether there is room available. But that's for 5 stars hotel like Shangri-la. For 2, 3 stars hotels in touristy places like Bali, Phuket, etc, it's possible to happen.
Usually is : the hotels really don't have room at that particular time, but there is buffer time, where the guest who occupied that room decided to check out last minute, this freeing that room for next guest.
Why 4 hours? That room & toilet must be cleaned, during pandemic is also disinfected, the whole linens must be changed, and remember - last minutes check out means that chambermaid has done that shift, you must wait for the next shift staff to do the job. You must give the staff grace period as currently peak holiday season.
Anyway, wishing you happy time in Thailand. Koh Samui, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai are places worth discovering.
South Thailand has many Muslims. North Thailand predominantly Buddhist.
Be respectful & have a good time exploring those places. Stay safe.

Let this video be a lesson to anyone who decides to travel as a digital nomad during Covid times.
    - Educate yourself on where you're at and where you're going, on what is going on in the place you're currently staying and local customs/holidays.
    - Do NOT trust third party websites for bookings and reservations. It is incredibly rare that they will ever refuse a booking, or confirm a location as fully booked. They want that money.
    - Stop trying to stay in the most crowded and populated tourist areas of every place you go. Seminyak and Kuta are both HIGHLY populated tourist areas of Bali (this video was posted in May 2022), it was a holiday, and you're trying to stay in this area the first month after Bali fully opened back up to tourism... Why? You could have stayed in Kerobokan, Sanur, a boatload of places in Denpasar, and still had ZERO issues getting to the airport. Try staying in places where tourists DO NOT EXIST, you'll be much happier for it. I promise.
**For context, I've been traveling SEA since 2018 and have lived in Bali for over three years.** All the best to you both. 🤙🏼

I can't see how bad planning on your behalf creates an emergency on the others behalf?? If you booked in advance things might be a lot better for you...if you don't like booking ahead and want to be spontaneous then this is your issue...and also why not boom direct with hotels etc?? why use a third party site?? the hotel gets less profits if you book thru an app....so they run a business and really don't like the booking agents taking their profits. Maybe do some looking into the cultures and festivals, religious activities of the countries you visit...knowledge is power.
It's a feedback...if your not enjoying the negative feedback then don't post things!!! Stop blaming bad things on your lack of preparation....seriously it looks pathetic.

I understand what you went through last time was not easy for you. Starting from the end of April until last week there is a celebration of the holiday for Muslims in Indonesia (Eid Al-Fitr). Most people who don't celebrate it, use their day off for a vacation to Bali. It has been 2 years in a row that the government has prohibited people from taking vacations during the pandemic and finally this year the government has opened the doors of tourism for local and international tourists to come to Bali.
The possibility of chaos is unavoidable because they have never felt so busy like this since the pandemic. I also work at a travel agent in Bali, experiencing the same thing to get room availability because Bali was very full at that time, but it should be handled properly 😊.

Sorry you had a bad time. That happens and it’s hard to predict. I’ve been to places everyone I know LOVES and I had a bad time. Not having lodging is tough. I’m pre booking every night of my trip, but places I can cancel a few days in advance if I want to change my mind. ❤ also I like to look at my Astrocartography for places I visit. You might have difficult lines in Bali. ❤❤

Just saw your predicament, we were lucky as we we went after you and stayed at Sanur for 3 weeks, I love Bali so much I would love to be an expat. The only thing that went wrong was our friends kept getting their planes cancelled but we were so lucky that the hotel complex gave us the extra time and where kind enough to bring up a mattress for my friend and extra time for other friends. Maybe we were lucky because we go to the same accom everytime we're in Bali. Oh how I miss beautiful Bali. We are also lucky to have our own driver, his become a friend, he never lets us down.

Little Suggestion when you booked hotel last minute, right after your booking confirmed trough Online ( Agoda etc ), you should make sure by phone / whatsapp ( Some hotel probably don't have website, but surely they had instagram and they always put their contact - whatsapp on their instagram ). and always ask your confirmations number from the hotel, this indicate that you name listed on their system. I'm working in travel agency and I keep doing this to make sure my guest had their room when they're check in.

Easy to organise watching the fighters train (or have a go yourself!). Nang Loeng is the oldest food market in BKK still running, and a foodie paradise! Couple of amazing places there not yet 'done' by food vloggers lol

Sorry that happened to you guys. I've been here for about 2 weeks, and I won't come back here. Bali has been one loud construction zone, all day every day hammering and drilling, no peace at all. Ugh. I'm bummed I came here. Won't be back. Tough to share something negative about a place with such beauty and nice people, but for real, I wish more videos had a balanced picture of Bali.
