BUSTED , this unit is a huge money pit , that never ends . The dealer should ship it back to Alliance to be repaired .
Lot rot is a huge concern. Dealerships are Not sending people out to routinely test slides, inspect roofs (or anything for that matter), move units routinely so tires/axles get movement/don’t rot, etc etc. it’s scary actually. They don’t keep the units they have in prime condition!

And we've been told by some workers that no budget was attributed for PDI in certain dealerships...a lot of them 😄

What does the RV stowing go have to do with your inspection?
People pretty much know what they're buying, they just want it work properly and get inspected properly.
Your videos prove one thing (well actually many more than one). When it comes to high volume production of units built by human hands, rarely does that translate to a high quality product. And the so-called upper tier product lines often aren't any better than their less expensive corporate cousins. Keep up the great work and the constant reminders that it may be a long time before I part with my money on an RV.

For me, I'd move on to a different unit. Why in the world, would the dealership allow this unit, with all of the issues you noted be available to sell? Are we as consumers such lemmings, where we think this unit is good to go. Thank goodness, you are there to hold the dealers in check and educate us as consumers.

Wow, that unit has some problems! I've never seen a slide be able to be moved with one finger. Personally, with that and the water / roof issues, I would have walked. Great video!!
They actually did walk away from it!
They found a 2025 at another dealership
One of my first jobs was working at a doughnut shop where I was paid $1.00 per hour in 1971. However, the man who made the doughnuts each morning would get paid based on completing a certain amount of of doughnuts. One day I was mixing dough in the back area and I saw the man begin to place a rack of doughnuts into a window display. The tray holding the doughnuts was accidentally tipped and about 40 doughnuts fell to the floor. The man looked around and saw that no customers were in the store. Then he hastily picked up the doughnuts off the floor and put them into the window display. The man was being paid by the job and not by the hour. He was highly motivated to just get the job done rather than having a good product. The man did not realize I saw the accident. Who was I to gripe? If I would have said something I would have probably lost my job. Piece work is a motivation for shoddy work. Alliance should have beefed up inspection procedures if they choose to pay by peice work instead of by the hour.

There's no incentive for quality work when production is rewarded.
"Its ready". As an owner, I would require the dealership to certify it is ready with a clause stipulating they pay and expenses for any delays from it not being ready. I would provide a checklist for each item that it part of that "it is ready". this is the only way for the industry to start changing. Hit them in their pocketbook.
With our report, you do end up with a PDF file "list" of all items required to be addressed that you can print and send to the seller.
Now they know what you are expecting and able to verify if it was corrected when you will pick up.
This list becomes "your" power of lever.
No way! Higher end unit? I don't think that the water damage would get repaired correctly.

Salut Pierre: just seeing that disgusting spaghetti of ducts, water pipes and electrical wires at minute 3:58 should be the first indication that that RV was botched in any possible way, so, should we be surprised to see leaks?

Alliance was proclaimed as the NEW high end camper, almost bought one, but was not impressed with issues we found so purchased another unit instead from KZ
It is definitely a question of taste. "High end" is definitely questionable IMHO 🤔
I just took a tour of the Alliance factory last week. They said they build 8 RV's a day. That's from a bare frame to a completed Rig. They get paid by piece work. Don
They used to build 9 to 13 a day during Covid

Can you provide a list of items an RV owner should inspect on their own RVs on a schedule so that problems don't cause more damage over time. Not trying to replace a good inspector, just educate owners oh how to keep their RVs in good shape.

Arghhh! COVID stopped me from buying an RV, fortunately. I didn't understand at the time how poor quality usually is.
You definitely have to be vigilant. It is not part of a lot of manufacturers priorities 🙂

@blueoxontherun9188 this similar problem happened to a neighbor of ours about a year ago. Plastic pex unions out the rear of their water heater started leaking. If unit wasn't winterized properly, the lines freeze. Pex can handle some, but those sh1t couplings can't.
Sometimes just the expansion from heat and cold will loosen up these fittings...just like hydraulic piping. Tighten them back after a while should be part of their walkthrough 😉
What settings do you use on your moisture meter for different RV areas?

I will not steer you in any wrong direction as different meter works in different way.
Also, in order to know if it is moisture , frame or false reading, one got to understand and know structures and construction of said walls.
You don't know what you don't know.
Experience and knowledge doesn't come with owning a humidity tester!😉😁

If you feel humidity...compare to other materials.
Once you are convince of such readings, dig the structure to confirm your findings. (Experience)

Finding high mositure readings like that on a "new" unused trailer is a Bust for me. Why deal with the time and expense in dealing with the dealer or manufacturer trying to get it fixed. Just move on and find a better one. Another inspection that educated the buyers before a huge costly mistake.

This a "no" for me. I don't want to buy a water damaged unit, even if it can be repaired........and the roof is worrisome as well. Silly question, but I assume the frame was good?
Frame had superficial rust from its delivery. But otherwise, in good condition.
Like you, the roof would be my reason to stress ...🙃

Hopefully the client does not buy the unit. Unfortuantley,some unknowing person that doesn't get an inspection will. It should go back to the factory. It will never dry out.

We have looked at numerouse Alliance Valor toy haulers, and Paradigm fivers, and could never understand what the unrelenting hype was all about. We find sloppy workmanship in every one. Mediocre, at best.
The marketing and the social media concept is great! The are connected with the owners that are personally involved. That makes people feel listened to 😊
