It will last for a couple of years, the problem with this one is the sensor itself, I just tried to replace the battery to see whether it’s the battery itself or the sensor. It turned out to be the contact sensor so I returned it back free of charge and got my refund

how long does the sensors battery last?

They last for like 6 to 8 months! I replace the battery and last for like one month!
