I wish the designers had made it so the player can fire the blast stream, capture stream, boson darts, stasis stream, shock blast, slime blower, meson collider and overload pulse for a long period of time without having to vent the pack. If I had the skills to build my very own proton pack replica, I would make it look exactly just like the video game version with the dark matter generator, plasm distribution system and composite particle system modifications down to the last detail.
@@LightStreak567 I never thought of it like that. The proton packs never did overheat of the films, so why have the proton packs overheat of the video game?
@@JoshuaModerwell I want to say that it was a game mechanic Atari wanted to put in to make gameplay challenging, but when I recall the first two Ghostbusters movies, they never threw proton streams longer than 20 seconds unless they have a ghost wrangled in the stream. In the 2009 game, when you have a ghost wrapped up in the proton stream, the pack heats up at a much slower rate than when you are simply firing it.
It doesn't. At least not yet. It's just classic zap and trap, but I've been so use to this game's system that without the slam ability or boson darts, or the natural dragging system, it was hard at first to adjust. Hopefully in future updates we'll get new additions and new weapon systems.
Energy bazooka/basic laser Energy shotgun/freeze ray Ghost ink remover/snot rocket grappler Energy machine gun/homing dart All it needs now is a ghost trap like vacuum cleaner
Winston: You guys might want to step back Egon: how Far Exactly? Winston: way back *explosion* Egon: do i still have Eyebrows? Ray: same old same Old Winston: i said way back
Be cool if they actually made proton pack with all the new lights on them instead of people modified the packs not everyone can make modifications like this
Ever since I had first played Ghostbusters: The Video Game, I have wondered why the designers had the slime of the Plasm Distribution System (Slime Blower Ver 2.) be green instead of going along with having the slime still be pink as it was seen in Ghostbusters II (2). I came across a clip from Ghostbusters II of the river of slime first scene with alternate grading that was uploaded on TH-cam in 2008 and if it had been done that way from the start, it would make sense for the slime to be green in the video game. th-cam.com/video/tu4XVBOTVRE/w-d-xo.html

Same
People forget that the proton packs are nuclear powered, so, the equipment overheating makes sense.

@@LightStreak567 I see.
The title is misleading, they explain how to use it, not how it works.
Shut up nobody asked
I hope the new Ghostbusters game has a similar weapons system.
I have a feeling it probably won’t but the grappling hook is pretty cool.

Ooo, and I thought Slimer was disgusting.😂😂😂😂Omg. Ray.
that line was supposed to be used for some stinky ghost in the return to the sedgewick hotel level, but the ghost was removed for unknown reasons.
