1:15 something people don't mention is the fact that to even do this they had to shoot the planet with this super "star bursting" gun or some shit so they could destabilize the planet's core. And hit it with specific timing. So they had to use external planetary super weapons just to weaken the planet enough for this feat to be possible.
Yeah but it also was a "hardened " planet and was more difficult to destroy, but since they shot it with the star killing gun it evened out to a normal planet, which is why I think most scalers just don't mention this two since they cancel out

I'm not sure that bloodlust even gives Mark any form of advantage against Garou, more like a debuff. Having Mark's fight IQ take a hit from tunnelvisioned rage is just going to make it that much easier for Garou to dismantle him like a UFC champion taking apart an elementary schooler.

The thing I’m always thinking about regarding speed is that we measure different kinds of speeds. Sure mark can fly at several times the speed of light across the galaxy. But that doesn’t really say he can instantly move at that speed. Acceleration and deceleration. Where as garuu can seemingly just stop mid way and go at the same speed in the opposite direction.

The minimum force required to be moon level is roughly 3x10^19 tonnes of TNT (equivalent), which is an estimation of the amount of force required to completely destroy the moon. An asteroid the size of Texas, assuming it's mostly spherical, would be roughly comparable in size to Ceres, which has a mass of approximately 1/80th of the moon's mass. Downscaling from the moon would put the energy required to destroy Ceres at 3.7*10^17 tonnes of TNT, which is actually multi-continental, not moon level. Of course, maybe this asteroid was made of some fictional material or there is some other reason to upscale it to moon. Anyway, the guy in the video is just incorrectly scaling here as far as I can tell.
@2:22 The “Omni-Man can only lift 100+ tons” thing can be attributed to Kirkman trying to evoke a strength scale similar to how Marvel scales its characters. This would be pretty consistent given that Kirkman wrote on/off for Marvel while writing the first ~1/3 of Invincible, and the fact that Invincible crossed over with [a version of] the Marvel universe The Marvel strength scale has characters like the Hulk, Thor, Juggernaut, The Thing, etc listed between “70-100” ton strength. However we KNOW that’s not their limits bc we see them lifting things that weigh much more than 100 tons and striking with way more than 100 tons of force. For instance, Grey Hulk is one of the weakest versions of the Hulk (listed at 70 ton strength), but could one shot a meteor twice the size of Earth. Mark as early as issue 46 of Invincible could bench press 400 tons. Then gets much much much stronger by the time of the Battle of Viltrum. I think he’s way stronger than the consensus opinion.

The only thing you can maybe say is by the end Mark would shit on the planet feat. Omni Man from that era broke his nose hitting Thragg with a headbutt, but later could break his nose. Thragg then rips him in half and Mark after Eve clutched could box him about equally. Garou could just outgrow such a gap though like when Saitama was literally unironically one shotting him like 5 times over.

Good video, and I agree Garou wins. However, the fa-jin durability negation probably wouldn't work quite as effectively on Viltrumites as you'd think. It's whole thing was all about how you can train your muscles but you can't train your internal organs, right? Well, the source of Viltrumite's strength is "smart atoms" ( don't look at me I didn't write it ) that could probably react to that - if they weren't outright overwhelmed by the sheer force anyway.
invincible's human-viltrumite hybrid nature gives him adrenaline, something that pureblood viltrumites don't have. this paired with his viltrumite lineage means he gets stronger after every battle. is that not hax?
U didn’t use end of series Mark tbh. U have to remember because of Marks hybrid DNA he grows in strength faster than even the strongest Viltrumites. Yes Mark took L’s in the series but after each L he grows several times stronger, faster and more durable. Even as you grow older, Viltrumites smart atoms become more refined with age. Each feat u used from Invincible was nowhere near his peak by the end of the series. Also planet Viltrume is 1.25x the size of earth so if a much weaker Mark survived the destruction of the planet, end of series would be an entirely new ball game. Mark was fighting on a star having his skin burned so there’s no solid calc as to how strong he was after that but of course it’s several times higher then when they blew up Viltrum..
Yeah, I was just thinking about that like in the last chapter Alen and Mark had a fight about the coalition of planets handling things badly and even though the fight was off screened, we could see that Mark easily defeated Alen without any scratches at all
Nobody even scales to rhe Viltrum detsroying feat though, theres a large amount of context rhat goes into it and even then they only destroyed it after it gets hit by a star busting gun and they still almost die to do it, so Emperor Mark gets somrthing like small planet level, and Garou got downplayed too
It would be unreasonable to assume end of series mark would be significantly stronger than Thragg, and Thragg is only planetary at best (which he never even did any planetary level feats, but we know he is far below star level, as the surface of the sun was enough to kill even him)

human garou is pretty weak though, taking damage from normal arrows and bullets if he doesn’t react to it or try to dodge it, what made him strong in his human form was his amazing skills and offense ability, but no way did he tank stuff well during that time when he got hit by normal stuff. Human garou got carried by skill, but in terms of durability he is easily a glass cannon compared to mark.

@constantdreams7918 takes a week to reach near light speed as well only took garou less than a second to be faster than light and 1.3 second to create to battle people within this same speed feat. Red rush kinda shown it takes time for viltrumites need time to speed up it isn't instant nor fast speed up. I'm sensing either some ignorance on Invincible, or bias towards Garou. Here's why this video should face some review Invincible wasn't knocked out from Viltrum's explosion Invincible isn't a little bit faster than Garou. Garou would be a snail in comparison since Invincible is fast enough to blitz ships that cross galaxies in days. And Invincible says the less he holds back, the faster he fights Garou's durability negation is not a clear cut wincon on Invincible since Mark has fought with broken bones and bruises for entire days, fought Conquest with a broken leg, shattered arm, hairline fractures in his skull, a sealed shut eye, and a crushed hand, and still won. In his second fight, Mark had his spine severed and still killed Conquest. That's better than Garou fighting while poisoned by a landslide Invincible had small planet level feats from as early as the beginning of the series. Tech Jacket, who's weaker than Mark, threw a ship into the sun, which was calculated at small planet level. The Coalition, who had no weapons to hurt the Viltrumites, have guns that were calc-ed at small planet level. This alone makes Mark fighting a regular Viltrumite on Thraxa small planet level. There's also Mark knocking a moon out of its orbit, which is again small planet level, and Thragg's statement of even weakened injured Viltrumites contributing to tearing Earth in half. Garou isn't stronger than Invincible since Mark has way more feats on this level than Garou Invincible also uses the battlefield to his advantage. You listed a lot of Garou's tactics but ignored Mark's. Even when Mark was a novice, he would fly enemies to space before they could blink. Mark could throw Garou into the sun before he reacts Garou is more skilled, but his only wincon is durability negation, which isn't even a guarantee if we looked at Mark's stamina feats, which you didn't do in the video. Meanwhile, Mark can blitz Garou if he was feeling vicious, which later Mark becomes. Mark could beat him down like Saitama did. Mark could fly them both to space. Mark could actually replicate Garou's chopping of Sage Centipede since he actually uses that move more than Garou. Their stats are like this Strength: Invincible Speed: Invincible if he's feeling ruthless on Garou Hax: Garou Skill: Garou Endurance/Durability: Invincible Battle IQ: Garou Experience: Invincible This is way more balanced than you make it to be. He altered Earth's axis which got Blast's attention since Blast focuses on world threatening events. It'd be irresponsible for Blast to hang out in another dimension without any ties to Earth Even if we wanted to go that route, Invincible was caught in a dimensional explosion when he met Angstrom Levy Garou has no stats surpassing Invincible as I said earlier. Invincible has way more destructive feats than Garou, hence he is stronger Invincible doesn't need to be scaled to MFTL+ to have MFTL+ feats. One example has Mark outpacing starships that cross galaxies in days and fighting enemies that can dodge projectiles that move faster than even that. Mark has speed in spades Invincible has more durability feats than Garou. Even if we think they are equal in blunt force damage, Mark has resistance to molecular decay (radiation), resistance to atomic transmutation, drugs, viruses, nanobots, prions, bacteria, absolute zero, etc. Garou wins hax and skill. I won't argue this. And I never did I think this fight would go a lot like Lucas Hood vs The Champ in Banshee where it starts in The Champ's favor because he knows how to fight better, but turns more to Hood's side because he's more of a brutal street fighter like Mark is
End of series comic Mark completely slaughters monster Garou. Dude is arguably Star level or Planet buster if being conservative. Thragg low-diffs the Omni Man that helped Mark destroy Viltrum. Mark then proceeds to fight on par with Thragg later AND at the end of series completely dwarfs that level of power. Thragg even states that a few fodder viltrumites can tear apart a moon. All in all, just neglecting the scaling of Invincible

Problem: Extreme Fa Jin would arguably just be a normal powerful attack for Mark, because smart atoms mean his organs are just as superhuman as his skin and bones. The whole idea is "you can't train your internal organs", but in comes a Viltrumite, training absolutely all of their body by just existing.
Fa Jin is an actual Kung fu technique that involves the use of chi/ki/qi. Basically sending energy into the opponent's body through the use of a energy infused strike.
I think the question is less about "Can Invincible survive Garou?" and more about "How many versions of Garou could Invincible beat before he gets walled?"
You’re forgetting one minor detail about mark and the other viltrumites destroying the planet. That was assisted by space raiders gun which was stated to go through anything no matter the material so even without the laser mark, Nolan and Thaddeus would have died at that point
I mean tbf this would all work cool, except Mark has the natural resistance of Darkshine, and Garou couldn't even hurt him, Darkshine just got deppressed and scared and lost for it, but none of the attacks from Garou, before or after the monster transformation made a dent, the same thing would happen with Mark, people in OPM tend to hit MUCH more hard than what they themselves can resist, so it would be like fighting someone with the resistance and strenght of darkshine, much more slim and as fast as flashy flash, Garou would need his final monster form to actually do damage

1:15 something people don't mention is the fact that to even do this they had to shoot the planet with this super "star bursting" gun or some shit so they could destabilize the planet's core. And hit it with specific timing. So they had to use external planetary super weapons just to weaken the planet enough for this feat to be possible.

The thing I’m always thinking about regarding speed is that we measure different kinds of speeds. Sure mark can fly at several times the speed of light across the galaxy. But that doesn’t really say he can instantly move at that speed. Acceleration and deceleration. Where as garuu can seemingly just stop mid way and go at the same speed in the opposite direction.
It actually does say Mark can instantly move at that speed. And we see that happen in the comic where it's instant

The minimum force required to be moon level is roughly 3x10^19 tonnes of TNT (equivalent), which is an estimation of the amount of force required to completely destroy the moon.
An asteroid the size of Texas, assuming it's mostly spherical, would be roughly comparable in size to Ceres, which has a mass of approximately 1/80th of the moon's mass.
Downscaling from the moon would put the energy required to destroy Ceres at 3.7*10^17 tonnes of TNT, which is actually multi-continental, not moon level.
Of course, maybe this asteroid was made of some fictional material or there is some other reason to upscale it to moon. Anyway, the guy in the video is just incorrectly scaling here as far as I can tell.

This would be pretty consistent given that Kirkman wrote on/off for Marvel while writing the first ~1/3 of Invincible, and the fact that Invincible crossed over with [a version of] the Marvel universe
The Marvel strength scale has characters like the Hulk, Thor, Juggernaut, The Thing, etc listed between “70-100” ton strength. However we KNOW that’s not their limits bc we see them lifting things that weigh much more than 100 tons and striking with way more than 100 tons of force. For instance, Grey Hulk is one of the weakest versions of the Hulk (listed at 70 ton strength), but could one shot a meteor twice the size of Earth.
Mark as early as issue 46 of Invincible could bench press 400 tons. Then gets much much much stronger by the time of the Battle of Viltrum. I think he’s way stronger than the consensus opinion.

invincible's human-viltrumite hybrid nature gives him adrenaline, something that pureblood viltrumites don't have. this paired with his viltrumite lineage means he gets stronger after every battle. is that not hax?
U didn’t use end of series Mark tbh. U have to remember because of Marks hybrid DNA he grows in strength faster than even the strongest Viltrumites. Yes Mark took L’s in the series but after each L he grows several times stronger, faster and more durable. Even as you grow older, Viltrumites smart atoms become more refined with age. Each feat u used from Invincible was nowhere near his peak by the end of the series. Also planet Viltrume is 1.25x the size of earth so if a much weaker Mark survived the destruction of the planet, end of series would be an entirely new ball game. Mark was fighting on a star having his skin burned so there’s no solid calc as to how strong he was after that but of course it’s several times higher then when they blew up Viltrum..

Human garou got carried by skill, but in terms of durability he is easily a glass cannon compared to mark.

Invincible wasn't knocked out from Viltrum's explosion
Invincible isn't a little bit faster than Garou. Garou would be a snail in comparison since Invincible is fast enough to blitz ships that cross galaxies in days. And Invincible says the less he holds back, the faster he fights
Garou's durability negation is not a clear cut wincon on Invincible since Mark has fought with broken bones and bruises for entire days, fought Conquest with a broken leg, shattered arm, hairline fractures in his skull, a sealed shut eye, and a crushed hand, and still won. In his second fight, Mark had his spine severed and still killed Conquest. That's better than Garou fighting while poisoned by a landslide
Invincible had small planet level feats from as early as the beginning of the series. Tech Jacket, who's weaker than Mark, threw a ship into the sun, which was calculated at small planet level. The Coalition, who had no weapons to hurt the Viltrumites, have guns that were calc-ed at small planet level. This alone makes Mark fighting a regular Viltrumite on Thraxa small planet level. There's also Mark knocking a moon out of its orbit, which is again small planet level, and Thragg's statement of even weakened injured Viltrumites contributing to tearing Earth in half. Garou isn't stronger than Invincible since Mark has way more feats on this level than Garou
Invincible also uses the battlefield to his advantage. You listed a lot of Garou's tactics but ignored Mark's. Even when Mark was a novice, he would fly enemies to space before they could blink. Mark could throw Garou into the sun before he reacts
Garou is more skilled, but his only wincon is durability negation, which isn't even a guarantee if we looked at Mark's stamina feats, which you didn't do in the video. Meanwhile, Mark can blitz Garou if he was feeling vicious, which later Mark becomes. Mark could beat him down like Saitama did. Mark could fly them both to space. Mark could actually replicate Garou's chopping of Sage Centipede since he actually uses that move more than Garou.

Invincible has more durability feats than Garou. Even if we think they are equal in blunt force damage, Mark has resistance to molecular decay (radiation), resistance to atomic transmutation, drugs, viruses, nanobots, prions, bacteria, absolute zero, etc.

Extreme Fa Jin would arguably just be a normal powerful attack for Mark, because smart atoms mean his organs are just as superhuman as his skin and bones. The whole idea is "you can't train your internal organs", but in comes a Viltrumite, training absolutely all of their body by just existing.

I think the question is less about "Can Invincible survive Garou?" and more about "How many versions of Garou could Invincible beat before he gets walled?"
You’re forgetting one minor detail about mark and the other viltrumites destroying the planet. That was assisted by space raiders gun which was stated to go through anything no matter the material so even without the laser mark, Nolan and Thaddeus would have died at that point
Garou could take him, but it would have to be in some of his later forms, like spiral or monster form. Normal human Garou would catch a whooping

I mean tbf this would all work cool, except Mark has the natural resistance of Darkshine, and Garou couldn't even hurt him, Darkshine just got deppressed and scared and lost for it, but none of the attacks from Garou, before or after the monster transformation made a dent, the same thing would happen with Mark, people in OPM tend to hit MUCH more hard than what they themselves can resist, so it would be like fighting someone with the resistance and strenght of darkshine, much more slim and as fast as flashy flash, Garou would need his final monster form to actually do damage

Not arguing who wins cause Garou slams, but its funny how they didnt do any research past the same feat everyone uses (which is mid invincible and not their peak).
