After the conclusion of invincible season 2 and the recent hype of one punch man season 3, me and my goat Fiction have decided to join forces like Bang and Bomb and answer the question, could Garou Hunt Invincible? For this video we have two rules. Now off rip, it’s clear that Mark and Garou aren’t that far off in terms of AP, but it’s clear Garou has the advantage. While Mark would be vastly superior in speed which could give Garou initially a hard time. But the problem is that Garou adapts very fast and he himself as well is in another realm of skill compared to mark. Even if Mark is way faster than him, if he keeps flying back and forth to hit Garou, Garou eventually could adapt and manage to actually evade him, or even land a combo consisting of the water stream, whirlwind, or explosive fist. 3 styles that are very powerful and attack Mark's vitals specifically rather than his body. And if he lands an extreme fa jin then it’s just an instant GG as Mark's organs are going to be instantly melted and pierced through. Even if Mark were to get “mad” Garous adaptation would catch up faster than Mark's rage could overcome Garou, and the gap would slowly be made further and further for Mark, until it’s impossible for him to get the win. Garou as well with one simple reflection hit to Mark's face, would just damn near kill him. Remember, invincible characters when they are a lot weaker or are hit with a much stronger force, can’t really do anything to hurt or defend against said force. Marks only wincon would be if he was bloodlusted and Garou I guess just froze? But this seems super unlikely and I can see the multiple ways of Garou winning, being more than likely what would happen.

Matk bliztes garou. Garou cant ignore durability he says he hit internal organs, mark has organs that compare to his solar system level durability. Even though garou can be scaled to be stronger physically he isnt more durable, mark one shots him before he can land a hit.
Garou cant react to mark and he is less durable, he gets one shot before he thinks about attacking (if mark is bloodlusted)

1:15 something people don't mention is the fact that to even do this they had to shoot the planet with this super "star bursting" gun or some shit so they could destabilize the planet's core. And hit it with specific timing. So they had to use external planetary super weapons just to weaken the planet enough for this feat to be possible.

Yeah but it also was a "hardened " planet and was more difficult to destroy, but since they shot it with the star killing gun it evened out to a normal planet, which is why I think most scalers just don't mention this two since they cancel out

But in space they can infinitely build up speed without stopping due to the lack of gravity and atmosphere.

At one point, a bunch of kid Viltrumite hybrids were splattering themselves against Mark in an attempt to kill him, and he was literally begging them to stop for their own sake.

This is what happens when you comment without understanding the verse you talk about. You realize not even Saitama can solo Invincible right? Because there exists beings that can eat souls with AoE attacks. Garou gets close to him in any form, he's dead. And that character was relatively fodder. Same with mind control etc. Not to mention, Garou isn't even as strong as the guy's in the video say he is. Sage Centipede was like country-continent in size and he has no scaling to Psykos
Im glad you decided to use gargoyle garou since this version of garou has the perfected fist and the great fajin/extream fa jin. What i think that also gets garou the advantage is garou is not a brawler like mark is hes a martial arts prodigy
@2:22 The “Omni-Man can only lift 100+ tons” thing can be attributed to Kirkman trying to evoke a strength scale similar to how Marvel scales its characters. This would be pretty consistent given that Kirkman wrote on/off for Marvel while writing the first ~1/3 of Invincible, and the fact that Invincible crossed over with [a version of] the Marvel universe
The Marvel strength scale has characters like the Hulk, Thor, Juggernaut, The Thing, etc listed between “70-100” ton strength. However we KNOW that’s not their limits bc we see them lifting things that weigh much more than 100 tons and striking with way more than 100 tons of force. For instance, Grey Hulk is one of the weakest versions of the Hulk (listed at 70 ton strength), but could one shot a meteor twice the size of Earth.
Mark as early as issue 46 of Invincible could bench press 400 tons. Then gets much much much stronger by the time of the Battle of Viltrum. I think he’s way stronger than the consensus opinion.

Short answer: The more resistant the punching bag, the more you can punch it.
The only thing you can maybe say is by the end Mark would shit on the planet feat. Omni Man from that era broke his nose hitting Thragg with a headbutt, but later could break his nose. Thragg then rips him in half and Mark after Eve clutched could box him about equally. Garou could just outgrow such a gap though like when Saitama was literally unironically one shotting him like 5 times over.

U didn’t use end of series Mark tbh. U have to remember because of Marks hybrid DNA he grows in strength faster than even the strongest Viltrumites. Yes Mark took L’s in the series but after each L he grows several times stronger, faster and more durable. Even as you grow older, Viltrumites smart atoms become more refined with age. Each feat u used from Invincible was nowhere near his peak by the end of the series. Also planet Viltrume is 1.25x the size of earth so if a much weaker Mark survived the destruction of the planet, end of series would be an entirely new ball game. Mark was fighting on a star having his skin burned so there’s no solid calc as to how strong he was after that but of course it’s several times higher then when they blew up Viltrum..
Yeah, I was just thinking about that like in the last chapter Alen and Mark had a fight about the coalition of planets handling things badly and even though the fight was off screened, we could see that Mark easily defeated Alen without any scratches at all

Nobody even scales to rhe Viltrum detsroying feat though, theres a large amount of context rhat goes into it and even then they only destroyed it after it gets hit by a star busting gun and they still almost die to do it, so Emperor Mark gets somrthing like small planet level, and Garou got downplayed too
It would be unreasonable to assume end of series mark would be significantly stronger than Thragg, and Thragg is only planetary at best (which he never even did any planetary level feats, but we know he is far below star level, as the surface of the sun was enough to kill even him)

Problem:
Extreme Fa Jin would arguably just be a normal powerful attack for Mark, because smart atoms mean his organs are just as superhuman as his skin and bones. The whole idea is "you can't train your internal organs", but in comes a Viltrumite, training absolutely all of their body by just existing.
Didn't they also need the Infinity blaster as well to help them blow up planet viltrum? which ir could one shot viltrumites or might be dura neg.

The thing I’m always thinking about regarding speed is that we measure different kinds of speeds. Sure mark can fly at several times the speed of light across the galaxy. But that doesn’t really say he can instantly move at that speed. Acceleration and deceleration. Where as garuu can seemingly just stop mid way and go at the same speed in the opposite direction.
It actually does say Mark can instantly move at that speed. And we see that happen in the comic where it's instant

End of series comic Mark completely slaughters monster Garou. Dude is arguably Star level or Planet buster if being conservative.
Thragg low-diffs the Omni Man that helped Mark destroy Viltrum. Mark then proceeds to fight on par with Thragg later AND at the end of series completely dwarfs that level of power.
Thragg even states that a few fodder viltrumites can tear apart a moon.
All in all, just neglecting the scaling of Invincible

In the series the characters are more like above continental maybe Multi-Continental needing 4 characters power to be added to destroy a Planet by threading the unstable core and that feat is only Multi cuz its not the smae destroying a structure core so it falls down and explodes than exploding the whole thing,it is also stated they wouldnt have survived the explosion,so anything like Golden S or Platinum S kills him,now if we use highers scaling like with canon crossovers and that planet eating villain they are maybe multi planetary however with Garou scaling to Boros planetary attack in power and with the ability to turn around power with WSRSF even this extreme highball gets beat
Can this as be redone but with an old mark that is like his best and most powerful? That would be more interesting to see.

kaido gets mid diffed at best and thats being generous, battle beast is pretty easily small planetary based off massively scaling above the three viltrumites who destroyed viltrum which was calculated at small planet level for each viltrumite individually,
you could also argue dwarf star level via the explosion that the viltrumites survived after destroying the planet, and possibly some higher scaling via omnipotus.
I would love to see fight between human or half-monster garou and Mark, they are both rely on their stamina and endurance in their fight, this would be like Battle Beast vs Thragg, when both of them would beat the shit of each other

I mean tbf this would all work cool, except Mark has the natural resistance of Darkshine, and Garou couldn't even hurt him, Darkshine just got deppressed and scared and lost for it, but none of the attacks from Garou, before or after the monster transformation made a dent, the same thing would happen with Mark, people in OPM tend to hit MUCH more hard than what they themselves can resist, so it would be like fighting someone with the resistance and strenght of darkshine, much more slim and as fast as flashy flash, Garou would need his final monster form to actually do damage
You downplayed mark heavy, you said "He is barley reaching small planet level." you fail to realize that thragg is leagues above that invincible, omni man, and Thaedus which should scale him above that feat. Mark at the end of the series (Which you didn't even mention once in the video except the beginning then you use no feats from adult mark) is stronger than thragg by leaps and bounds he even low diff'd allen the alien at the end of the series which is a top tier. I'm not even mad garou won idrc but yall fr downplayed and showed heavy bias in this video. (Also travel speed=combat speed in invincble it's stated in a guide book.)

@constantdreams7918 takes a week to reach near light speed as well only took garou less than a second to be faster than light and 1.3 second to create to battle people within this same speed feat. Red rush kinda shown it takes time for viltrumites need time to speed up it isn't instant nor fast speed up. This gives garou's more than enough time to evolve and tbh none of them knows martial arts that can negate all damage and return it double so it's just ggs

You’re forgetting one minor detail about mark and the other viltrumites destroying the planet. That was assisted by space raiders gun which was stated to go through anything no matter the material so even without the laser mark, Nolan and Thaddeus would have died at that point
I remember someone say hero association vs invincible universe and say hero association needed saitama even tho i said saitama is so overkill. Glad to see people here seem to know that mark is vincible

People keep downplaying the planet-busting feat in Invincible and leave out some important details.

In the invincible verse the atmosphere of planets literally nerfs the characters flight speeds as shown since it’s considered impressive when the characters fly between continents in seconds so garou would have the speed advantage in atmosphere and I’m pretty sure cosmic garou is faster if he tries anyways correct me if I’m wrong though

I don’t think garou dodged all of those ricocheting bullets from pure intelligence. From the first shot of the bullet nearing garou, garou reacts to it and dodges it. Showing how his reflexes are just faster than the bullet, and how he basically sees time in slow motion.

What are you talking about the speed isn't controversial at all it's been stated multiple times that their combat and flight speeds are similar thanks to the data books and and then literally fighting while flying. Also while they were not conscious when the planet exploded they still were in the explosion

So garou has uni level adaptation, and has shown when fighting rover, to be able to adapt while being 1 shot

Comparing pretty much any character outside of anime to like 90% of power focused anime will result in them losing.
Anime is very creative when it comes to powers as it tends to less grounded than say a more realistic show like invincible or the boys. like if someone had the ability to create the concept of infinity like gojo in the boys it would feel out of place.
