Theres a lot more to an exciting car than spinning tires. Sounds, vibrations, being on the edge of losing control, and tinkering with your ride to make it better all add to the experience. I don't see where an electric motor will ever give the same excitement as a HEMI V8.

There is a rev sound using a mechanical sound generator in the back (which I hope we could switch to a future aftermarket one), which is super loud and sounds... Well sounds like a normal car.
I'd think that would affect performance, but again that one thing is for the fans, not specifically for performance anyway.

Electric cars are amazing aswell (instant torque, silent and peaceful, better gravity center), but I just personally feel a disturbance in the force when a Challenger might go from a V8 to an alcaline motor. Some cars you either kill them as legends (like the Viper) or make them convert to the opposite of what they were.
@@go_dawgs_8290 no hate, everything works different for different people. I live and work in rural areas of Nebraska. Very few places to charge and frankly unless it's 10 minutes like a gas stop with getting something to drink it doesn't work for "most" of us in this area. That's just my day job as a farm manager, if I get into my personal side on the farm some of the tests that have been done I couldn't even get to my destination with a load of livestock in the trailer or a load of hay.

I am writing as a long-time Dodge customer to let you know that the experience of driving your vehicle, getting services, and communicating with customer service is awful.
Starting from Feb last year, there was misfire on Engine. Sent the car to south trail Calgary dealership and spend >800 bucks on replacing spark plugs. Drove back the car and get the same issues again. Sent the car back in and was told it was a different issue and spent another 400 bucks. Drove back and still similar issue. However, engine light was off, so I was putting up with it. By the way these 2 time repairs cost one month. Same issue came back again this year. Sent the car to Port Coquitlam dealership and finally found it was the injector issue and that replacement was 72 dollars. Thanks to the great techs there!!
A/C was leaking in Aug 2021 and sent car to Canadian Tire for diagnose and found leak on back line. Sent the car into Varsity Calgary dealership for diagnose and repair - spent 2200 bucks. Heard the leaking sound right after with cold air blowing so tech was saying it is okay. After a long cold spring finally got to use the A/C in May and found the same issue came back. Called varsity dealership and they said it was only the Evaporator was leaking so now it is a new issue, so I got pay for everything.
Called FCA customer service and escalated the case. The case manager stands with the dealership and saying it is my full responsibility. By the way, tried to reach out and never was able to catch the case manager. The first word after a one week time was what can I help for you? You are my case manager, and you don't know that? Great job guys.
Will never ever buy any car in future from Dodge and will not recommend this car to anyone I know.

This is very unlike Dodge, when everyone went to better technology and hybrid engines for better performance, Dodge just made bigger engines, and still beat anyone in their path. EV´s are alot more fun to drive, as long as you dont need to go cross country. Instant torque, even more so than a diesel.
They are going to fix range in 3-5 years with new batteries and better charging so you can go cross country too.
Only thing missing is the sound, but thats already coming from the speakers in most new ice cars so what.

I will keep and maintain my 2019 Dodge Charger R/T with 29,000 miles. I am starting to research which new parts to buy and store away that I might need in the next 10 years. I had a 2008 Cadillac XLR PLATINUM and GM quit making parts for it after 2013, so I sold it. A headlight assembly for the XLR on EBay was $6,500. No more GM for me. I also have a 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5L SEwith 50,000 miles that has been absolutely trouble free for 21 years.
I saw that logo for the first time like last week, on a '67 Coronet, and I told my dad they should bring it back cuz it looked sick. What are the odds!

Not gonna lie that ending the rev and tires burning out sounded badass if dodge make it sound like that I’ll buy it & if people want that v8 sound I’m pretty sure they can make the sound on it with computer work ..

there is not enough energy in our current grid to power an ALL ELECTRIC FLEET....and there is not enough lthium...in fact supply is short they are now having to mine the ocean floor...my Hemi lust ends with 2018 model year.....
