Beautiful machine, I just picked up a front blade for my 67 112H this morning. Decided to take a look at a few videos to get an idea of how it attaches. I did notice that the you have the lift cylinder hydraulic lines backwards. If you reverse the lines at the pump this will happen. Oddly enough the pumps are manufactured by Cessna, and like the controls of a Cessna, pull back to go up, push forward to go down.
Jared Lazaron thanks for the comment and watching the video. Trenton just pulled the top of the motor apart today due to s blown head gasket. I think the pump mounted on top of the motor is hard on head gaskets.
All 3 of my 67's and my 68 side tag 112H, of course all with the HH100 Tec had blown or leaking head gaskets when I got them. There is a 3 step process to tightening them, the last step happens after you have brought the engine up to temperature. It is difficult to do on the Hyd Lift engines because the pump is in the way. Contact me if you need some more information. I currently have 17 JD Garden tractors and have turned wrenches on every one.
do you have any pictures of how the hydraulic ram is mounted? I have a 112 with hydraulic lift for the mower deck. I was going to move the ram and create linkage to raise and lower the plow thnaks.
Looks Great! I had one back few years ago, Sold it when I started to downsize. It wasn't Hydo lift. Always wanted one that was. All I have left is a 1964 JD 110 And 1961 Cub Cadet Original
There Good ones for sure, Have the original Bill of Sale for the 64 - 110JD Sold Dec. 12 1964 for $550.00 . It will start up & be running before it turns over twice.... Thanks for the reply...
push up on a lever to make it go up, pull down to make it go down. only way it made sense to me. backwards I'm not sure? that's how my 2002 4410 works. thanks I'll look into it
Looks perfect! Im getting my first JD this week, a '65 110, so excited. It looks like you have holes up front for mounting headlights, do you not have them or just didn't want to put them on?
As I explained it's a variable speed tractor. If you knew anything about them you would know you can take off in any gear you want. After you release the clutch you can then apply more speed with a lever located on the right hand side. JD has used this design for years.
Good job!
Not sure what you mean? Thanks for watching. It's a variable speed so you are able to take off in any gear you want. If that's what you mean by skipping gears.

If you want to sell this tractor let me no please,,, steve
I've heard that a few times. But we prefer lift up on the lever makes the attachment goes up. Push down the attachment goes down. So wrong to who? Thanks for your comment.

Jared Lazaron great info. Looks like maybe a crows foot on a torque wrench would do it. Thanks for the help

Dave Smith thanks again. You gotta check out our other videos on this tractor.
Love this! Any updated videos on your john deere 112 tractor. Have you put the deck on?
Yes we have. I should do another video.
Man, that's nice!
This tractor was not wired for light. Also there was the factory plug in the dash hole where the light switch would be.
