Oral-B Junior Electric Toothbrush Review

The bold coloured handle of the Oral-B Junior is eye-catching and more engaging for the younger audience that this brush is intended for. There will be kids who love the Purple or Lime Green.
The provided tutorial card is a nice touch and a handy addition to act as a visual reminder to the younger generation on how to brush correctly.
The built in timer is a great feature to encourage the correct cleaning time.
Whilst it performs well and there isn’t really much I can criticise, I can’t help but think this brush could be more engaging for a young child. Perhaps a smartphone app the logs the cleaning history and makes each session more interactive.

I've contacted Oral B and asked what the difference is (apart from the colour) between this Junior version and their adult toothbrushes. They advised that the adults spin faster and therefore recommended the children's that are slower to protect their softer teeth. I cannot find any info about this anywhere else though - not even the spin speeds of the different electric brushes available...

Hi Diane.
Some information is lacking for sure.
We do not have confirmed information, but believe the speed at which the brush head moves at is about 7,600 times per minute.
As you move up the Oral-B range to what would be considered adult toothbrushes, these speeds do indeed increase to 8,800 through to 10,500 osculations per minute. A very rough rule of thumb, the more expensive the brush, the more powerful it is.
However, there are other brushes, not specifically targeted at children, such as the Oral-B Vitality, that operates at 7,800.
Next in the range is the Oral-B Pro 600 which has 8,800.
Whilst a step up there are not in our opinion significant difference.
We do have some information on the oscillations and pulsations for many brushes if you need them.

I check the oral pro 600 and has exactly the same specifications of the oral b Junior ... This is crazy... Not so much information about this ....
