Hi Sam. Your machine is a " beast!" I'm living in southwestern Vermont/ North Bennington. I seen 2 feet packed snow. ( I dug it out by hand. Then had a manual push snow plow. ( I built it.) With a retractable bulldozer blade. I used a 1/4 inch thick metal tip on the bulldozer blade. That slices through snow packed drifts. I made another plow w/ the " same" metal tip. ( That's sleet, freezing rain & ice.) was a farmer to our family small farm. It was very handy that wooden push snowplow. Even though. I had to wait for 2 inches of snow to use it. I ❤ plowing snow. I've got compliments on my strong & wide shoulders. I was " fit" during my 32 yrs of small farming. ( I'm retired from farming. It will be 6 years this June/2024.That drift you knocked down. 12 feet high? Or more? Massive snow drift. 😲😲😲😳😳😳🤔🤔🤔🙃🙃🙃 Your " beast" a fuel gussler? Or. It " sips" the fuel? We had about 6 inches of snow. We normally have 2 feet by now. Take care & be safe Sam. Thanks for answering my questions. Have a good weekend. 😍😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🌨🌬🌡
Hey thanks! We're familiar with that area... That sounds really cool!! Stu would be into that, definitely. The snowcats are amazing and yeah I think it was 12 ft. They're decent on fuel. I think they burn about 7 gallons per hour, or something like that. Not bad I suppose. Sorry about the lack of snow back East!! I've heard it's terrible this year. Oh well! Thanks so much for tuning in and commenting!!! Have a good weekend!
I saw a huge mistake. After you hooked the strap to the two machines, you didn't say "that aint going nowhere" . With age comes wisdom. Great content. Keep them coming. Subscribed. I miss snow.
Good to see you with stu again. I was wondering if we were going to get any videos this winter. Didn't know if it was lack of snow with this El Nino winter or something else. That was a pretty big system to dump that much snow. That tucker was berried for sure!
Hi there! Yes, Stu owns his cats. (and two dogs) He happens to live in a unique place with a major need for snowcats. Really awesome!! Thanks so much for watching!!
Awesome fellas!! Thank you so much. Sucks with global warming you have to go to TH-cam to see snow .....but you guys make it more fun. Thanks. Can't wait for the next one😁
Hey, thank you!! Yeah that's for sure. Places such as NY have gotten no snow lately. Really glad to provide some snow content!! Thanks a ton for watching!!
How does it work for Stu to make money from all the time and fuel spent in the snow cats? Also where in Utah is this area? In winter is it only accessible by snowmobile, backcountry cabins?
Hello! Almost any time that the cats are being used, he's doing something useful with them and getting paid. So this is up in No. UT but due to privacy concerns for the neighborhood, aka "blowin up the spot" I can't say exactly where it is, sorry!! Indeed, only accessible by sled. Very cool!! Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting!!
These cats are mid engined and winch cats have their winch on the back deck with a boom that allows the winch to work 360 degrees. Snowcats run out of traction before power (usually) and so you can actually sometimes climb things you couldn’t after you let them sit and freeze for a bit.
That wouldn’t have made any difference in this case, and the beauty of the Tucker is it can be move without pilot cars by a private owner.. Not doing that with the PB machine
I can’t believe that people were dumb enough to be that close to a tow strap under that much tension. Wrong place , wrong time that could have life altering consequences and or kill somebody.
Yeah agreed. Dumb question: If you're farther away than the strap length, is that still 100% stupid? In any case I won't be doing it again and will bring a tripod or something if I'm filming a recovery. I appreciate you mentioning that and am glad the rope somehow held together... And thank you for watching!!
That would've been nice! Stu has one too but apparently they're not great on snow and get stuck easily. I can't believe they dug it out by hand... Such dense snow too. Thanks for watching!!
Yeah I saw he has one on today's video. I've had mine on some pretty soft snow and it went just fine. It's only a 4 ton machine though so. It floats on snow pretty good. Oh well. Maybe next time.
99.8 % of the population couldn't even imagine snow at the level you guys are playing with let alone working in! Thank you! I miss that kinda snow!
Hey thanks! Yes, very blessed with this snow and everything else! Thanks for watching!!!

@@samlovescars34 Thanks for your reply. 7 gallons a hour. You can accomplish a lot in an hour. Thanks again Sam. 😍😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🌨🌬
Glad to see another Stu video! Something special about watching snowcats at work
Hey there, thanks! Yep, there is something about them... Thanks for watching!!
I saw a huge mistake. After you hooked the strap to the two machines, you didn't say "that aint going nowhere" . With age comes wisdom. Great content. Keep them coming. Subscribed. I miss snow.
Haha true!! Thanks so much!! More coming soon!
Love that beautiful Utah snow!
Me too! Thanks so much for tuning in!!

Hi Sam! Was just thinking about you yesterday, thanks for the video. Love the snow videos!! Stay safe out there!
Hi there! I really appreciate your support and patronage. More vids coming soon enough! Thanks so much for watching!!
Hey Sam! Good to see you. I was starting to wonder where you were
Hey there! Thanks for sticking around. Got off to a late start with snow, then was distracted! Thanks for watching!!!
Im very curious about that operation does the operator own those snow cats or who does he work for, seems like a really aswsome job
Hi there! Yes, Stu owns his cats. (and two dogs) He happens to live in a unique place with a major need for snowcats. Really awesome!! Thanks so much for watching!!
I might have missed it, but why did they let it get buried in snow in the first place.
Awesome fellas!! Thank you so much. Sucks with global warming you have to go to TH-cam to see snow .....but you guys make it more fun. Thanks. Can't wait for the next one😁

stu vids are the best ! cool dude
Thanks so much!! Agreed! Thanks for watching!!
Engine placement on the Cat has a huge influence on climbing abilities. This is why a winch climbs so much, the added Weight on the front of the cat.

Yeah!! The traction they have is incredible.. Thanks for watching!!
Love this lifestyle
Hey thanks!! I just come visit, but me too. Thanks a ton for watching!!
Hey Sam. Hope all is good. Missing your vids!
Hello! Thanks for the support! New video premiering in 17 minutes!
Does Stu and that other guy still have a youtube channel? It was called Backcountry??something??? I forget
Not anymore. They wound up not pursuing it for various reasons. We'll see what the future holds though!! Thanks a bunch for watching!!
Yahoo !!! Good ^^ fun : )
Oh yeah!! Thanks so much for tuning in!!
Throw some boards over that snow and he has a snow garage for his cat.😉
Need a 2 -3 inch diameter yankum rope. They don't break. Pulling things out.,😊
Yep, for sure. Thanks a bunch for tuning in!!
The Tucker needs wider tracks😊
Yeah maybe so! Thanks for watching!!!
That wouldn’t have made any difference in this case, and the beauty of the Tucker is it can be move without pilot cars by a private owner.. Not doing that with the PB machine
The Mutha Tucker got snowed unda!
You need an auto pilot with an established route and let it run while it's snowing..
Yeah it did! That's a really cool idea.. Haha!! It would work.. Thanks for watching!!!
Sickkk
Yeahhh!! Thanks for watching dude!!

I would have came up n donated my time with my mini excavator to help dig that machine out. That sucks spending days n days doing it by hand.
That would've been nice! Stu has one too but apparently they're not great on snow and get stuck easily. I can't believe they dug it out by hand... Such dense snow too. Thanks for watching!!

I think you should change your name from Sam loves cars to Sam loves sno-cats
Or just Sam's Snow Cat Adventures....
Ya we'll see, you never know. I created the channel 8 years ago on March 1st! Thanks a ton for watching!!!
You needed a chain. And the snowplouv you Are pulli g have alvorlige to drive at the same time.😂
Yes, perhaps!!! Thanks a bunch for watching!!!
Yankum.
Ya perhaps next time. Thanks for watching!!
I would have dug two holes and put salamander's in and melt the snow under it and warmed it up
Hmmm, very interesting!! Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting!!
you need Yankum ropes
Yeah perhaps next time!! Thanks for watching!!
Stop filming the driver! We’re all here to see the view not the guy sitting next to you!
I will take that into consideration for sure!! Thanks for watching!!
