For the development of Modern Warfare 2019 Activision created a new cinematics team out of the existing Blizzard cinematics team to use in both Blizzard's and Activision's games. So it's not even Treyarch making the cinematics.

At the end of BO4 we see Samantha and Eddy survive and travel to a new universe - a singular universe where the multiverse all but collapsed. Because of this zombies and the campaign merged together, and Black Ops and Modern Warfare now exist together.

Now there is more stuff to do, better powers, guns etc. There is various forms of zombies such as dimensions, magic, labs etc. It makes sense for there to be more layers.

That's irrelevant as COD has a development cycle that is produced by three companies; Treyarch, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer so each game is in development for 2-3 years. I'm sure you already know this.

You still find bo2 lobby's and the hackers are easy to point out just leave the lobby they all got coloured name plates to show off it gives em away
kinda hoping they do a more serious survival horror style zombies mode in the future.. regular zombie mode but then some sort of mission to make it through a zombie packed city to escape
