Also, in “Break on Through,” if you disobey Adler, in the 2nd or 3rd replay (I can’t remember which), the Vietnamese soldiers in the beginning will all become Adlers
if you make certain choices in that level (I forget which ones exactly) you can also wind up inside a Vietcong tunnel that turns into a round of zombies in the pitch-black with no music, only the sound of groaning zombies scuttling after you in the darkness. it's genuinely scary
Last night I fought zombies and Adlers on one playthrough of the level. And I kept pissing Adler off by picking up weapons that didn't match his "report". Kept ignoring the doors til it locked me in the shrine at the fork in the road.
Here is kind of a secret conversation. In the first mission, when you have to kill Arash, before Arash's truck gets there, you need to maneuver your way to where the truck is going to be. If you do this without being spotted, you can here Arash saying the same thing to Bell that we hear later in a flash back. The line goes, "Perseus thinks to highly of you. I don't want the competition." I know it's not much but that's all I can think of.
When Woods says, “Sh*t, you did all that with just a knife? Remind me to never piss you off.” I didn’t only use a knife, I used a knife and a the crossbow.
@@shrekross8037 I myself believe it's a direct reference to the "Bob the stickfigure" meme from years ago. In that mission where Adler tells you where to go three times. I ended up doing something forgot exactly what, but I ended up falling into a cave on purpose and zombies appeared. It was scary and awesome.
I noticed a small detail mistake...when the dude shoots bell and bells driver tries to fire back, he's wearing what appears to be a blue sport jacket. Then in the scene where Adler finds bell, that same driver is now wearing a camouflage combat jacket. I guess he wasn't happy dying in such meager clothing and decided to change
In the flashback mission, there’s a left and right path and if you take the one with people fight around Vietnamese houses and walk around all the houses Adler will tell you “Enough about the houses Bell.”
All though it’s not a scary game AT ALL!!! I was still freaked out about this mission also if you go to the bunker in the first spilt path with a different cave there will be zombies

There is actually a cool little easter egg if you talk to park in the safehouse and she would say "avoid asking adler any personal questions including his scar" if you ask him before becoming belikov in the next mission he will say different stories like"i jumps off a roof to save a girl"or"i got cut chasing a kgb agent"
'Break on Through' is one of the better CoD campaign mission I've played in a long time. I had so much fun just pissing off Adler and doing the exact opposite of what he kept wanting me to do.
If you fuck around in the tunnels for long enough, you can also get killed by zombies to which Adler says something like, "That didn't happen. Come on, get serious."
Another detail you may have missed, is that on the Vietnam missions you of course get a exclusive M16A1. But the vietcong's AK-47's model have actually been changed to resemble a Chinese Type 56 AK. This can be seen because the VC AK has a hooded front sight, vented gas tube, chinese rive pattern near the heat shield, and the most tell tale detail is the underfolding (unusable) bayonet. Great detail as the VC and NVA used chinese weapons, which were variants of russian weapons. Also there is a mounted MG-42 in Break On Through.
This is the only time since the modern warfare trilogy where I’d recommend a spoiler warning for a campaign because it is so incredibly fun and has such high replay ability I loved it
3:54 I’m glad someone else also found this easteregg, it was such an amazing detail from the dev team since this can happen in blops one in the first mission
Another cool detail in the memory mission. Is that if you do the opposite of what Adler tells you till the part where he forces you to instantly be at the Soviet base, alot of the enemy soldiers will actually be the model of Adler.
In the red room (the one where Adler checks up on you), the TV turned on for me momentarily. It alludes to the mind-control-- in later missions it shows the same TVs playing the same clip. I wonder if the devs wanted this to happen at the same time as Adler checking up on you. There is also the whole chained off area that unlocks with the date of the JFK assassination (11/22/63). In the finale, Bell goes to this area to alert the Soviets that he double-crossed Adler. Otherwise, not sure what else you can do here. Regarding Woods being impressed by your shooting at 3:30, I've found a few different options. If you kill them normally with his help, he gives a generic response. If you kill them all with headshots he says "Damn." If you kill them all very rapidly (as in no wasted time at all), he instead asks "Wow. Where'd you learn to shoot like that?"
10:21 The picture is a reference of the Numbers Lady from BO1 since we know Emmanuelle chriqui is the actress behind the Numbers Lady and there is a picture in the BO1 terminal with her name mentioned in a text (Evelyn Cross) . So this let me conclude that the picture looks like/is the Numbers Lady.
I was playing Cold War and thought of this video after one simple detail. I was replaying Cold War’s campaign, and in the first mission, Nowhere Left To Run, after the introduction, you play as Mason, who asks Adler if you they can trust a cop, and Mason uses a lighter to burn a photo of Qasim. It reminded me of something that I remembered vaguely, the opening scene of the original Black Ops, where Mason and Woods also talk about the cops, and you the flame of a lighter spark in the same way. Just something nice I noticed, dunno if anyone else has.
that was very intentional, both Black Ops and Cold War start with just the flame of a lighter against a black background until the scene fades in, it was definitely meant to be a callback.
You’ve probably already covered it, but in Modern Warfare, some Infils with the Little Birds you can notice the pilot use the pedals to turn the helicopter. I think it’s pretty cool that they animated it.
That’s not the only time you see Adler watching you, another time is when you can go over to the locked gate that triggers the Perseus ending before the last mission, Adler will be watching you
One of the best call of duty games in my opinion. I always come back to it. I have always preferred the black ops games over any other call of duty games. The mp maps are just awesome and also the game modes, like prop hunt. So much fun hiding and being chased. Let's not forget the arcade mini games. The developers really but effort into making this, and that shows. (I know they switched developers mid way, but treyarch and raven really but effort into making this.)
On the last mission if you keep going left when he wants you to go right you fight Adler instead of the VC. It just shows the struggle between bell and Adler
In the brainwash mission in Vietnam there's a well you can go down and fight zombies, Adler gets angry saying there's no such thing as zombies, pretty cool tbh
also when woods says "Damn" when you shoot the guards quickly, if you shoot the guards quickly enough so that Woods doesn't get a shot off and doesn't kill a guard, he will say "Holy hell where'd you learn to shoot like that"
Adler also looks at bell suspiciously if you try to go out the entrance hallway When you turn around sometimes he is watching bell just like when you go into the red room Hope this detail interested you guys
@@eriksmith3089 the original woods voice actor was joking about having "layers", if thats where you got it from. And no, its not a thing people actually say, its just part of the horrendous writing from the writers of cold war. I dont think its iconic or legendary at all lol. It really takes you out of the experience too tbh.
I’m pretty sure woods will also say something like “Where’d you learn to shoot like” to bell if you take out the first group of guards without letting woods get a shot off.
Man I remember causing a version of woods being impressed and he said "Damn where did you learn to shoot like that?" I think I remember that when that happened I killed the guards in less then 10 seconds and I remember that I never managed to replicate this quote.
Don't know if you noticed but in the same mission as the one in min. 11, you can eventually end up in a cave full of zombies if you get inside a hole before entering the cave for the first time when Adler tells you to do so.
It would have been amazing if after beating the game, then on your second play through there would be multiple new interactions that allow you to snap out the brain washing Like in the base where you can trip the alarm instead of it saying activate alarm it says “break from brain washing” and you get to kill Adler and breeze through the mission with the AI on your team
I'm quite amused by what happens if the player dies in Break On Through. Adler says something about how it never happened. The best one is "Bell, are you telling me you DIED in Vietnam?"
I found a neat little detail in zombies outbreak. If you find a perkacola can (hopefully one you already have) you can actually check the nutrients facts label on the back of the can. I managed to find only 2 so far, quick revive with 115 calories, and deadshot daiquiri with a whopping 666 calories. I have yet to see the others.
Neat easter egg/hidden detail in the third zombies map when you grab items you get different responses from the characters. For example if you get a fuse before you see where you're supposed to use it they will make fun of you for "grabing everything you see." but after failing to turn on the power they give you a different quote.
Interrogation room is reference to the one Alex mason is being held in in black ops one and the mirror with numbers is probably a reference to the numbers the Soviets put in masons head

"Pfft. Video games, there's no future in that shit." - Woods
OH, OH MY GOD THE IRONY
Yup
Adler staring at the room like that is extremely unsettling
I remember seeing all the pretzels and being so goddamned confused
You’ve probably already covered it, but in Modern Warfare, some Infils with the Little Birds you can notice the pilot use the pedals to turn the helicopter. I think it’s pretty cool that they animated it.
13:37 I feel like it would have been better is Santa’s sleigh delivered the care package
That’s not the only time you see Adler watching you, another time is when you can go over to the locked gate that triggers the Perseus ending before the last mission, Adler will be watching you
3:41 Woods can also say “Where did you learn to shoot like that?”
Echoes mission has a silent nod blueprint for revolver, when you take out the guards. It's in a cabinet on the left.
Oh so thats how i got it

"Pfft. Video games. There's no future in that shit." - Frank Woods, *a video game character.*
lol
One of the best call of duty games in my opinion. I always come back to it. I have always preferred the black ops games over any other call of duty games. The mp maps are just awesome and also the game modes, like prop hunt. So much fun hiding and being chased.
Let's not forget the arcade mini games. The developers really but effort into making this, and that shows. (I know they switched developers mid way, but treyarch and raven really but effort into making this.)
"Video games. There's no future in that sh*t," the video game character said calmly.
Another detail: You can hear Adler say “We’ve got a job to do.”
In red dead 2 if you haven’t slept in a while Arthur will keep rubbing his eyes and his face looks different 😂
rdr2 do be realer than real life
There's so many amazing details in RDR2. I don't think anyone can possibly cover them all.
You forgot the eagles can go to the river and take fishes to eat for dinner
And forgot that birds can be hunt down around the forest if you look carefully
On the last mission if you keep going left when he wants you to go right you fight Adler instead of the VC. It just shows the struggle between bell and Adler
“I’m a goddamn onion, Mason” gets me every time
If you take out all the guards fast enough at the start of red light green light, woods will say “holy hell, where’d you learn to shoot like that”
"Pfft video games. There's no future in that shit."
*said the guy in a video game*
7:08 the first time I saw this I was creeped out. When I saw Adler staring at me I told myself “something is going on here”
7:08 when the adler is sus 😳
Amogus?
In the brainwash mission in Vietnam there's a well you can go down and fight zombies, Adler gets angry saying there's no such thing as zombies, pretty cool tbh
also when woods says "Damn" when you shoot the guards quickly, if you shoot the guards quickly enough so that Woods doesn't get a shot off and doesn't kill a guard, he will say "Holy hell where'd you learn to shoot like that"
Adler also looks at bell suspiciously if you try to go out the entrance hallway
When you turn around sometimes he is watching bell just like when you go into the red room
Hope this detail interested you guys
maybe its because bell is dummy thicc????
I might be wrong, but I remember Adler staring at Bell when he opens the lock to the cage.

Ironic, isn't it?
@@therewasanamehere990 yes
For 1981, that's not quite sure.
I wonder if when woods said hes an onion he meant like an onion ninja
Fun fact, calling yourself an onion at something, means that you have "layers" of experience in it
@@eriksmith3089 Oh woops nevermind then
@@eriksmith3089 not everyone loves onions tho. CAKE! Everybody loves cake
Woods saying that was out of character af
I’m pretty sure woods will also say something like “Where’d you learn to shoot like” to bell if you take out the first group of guards without letting woods get a shot off.
Man I remember causing a version of woods being impressed and he said "Damn where did you learn to shoot like that?" I think I remember that when that happened I killed the guards in less then 10 seconds and I remember that I never managed to replicate this quote.
These are awesome details. I love the one with Adler. I'm not a COD-fan, but i have to say they realy put their hearts in the details :)
Don't know if you noticed but in the same mission as the one in min. 11, you can eventually end up in a cave full of zombies if you get inside a hole before entering the cave for the first time when Adler tells you to do so.
0:32 played Vietnam sections and felt strong urge to reinstall Vietcong
I wanted to reinstall RS4:VEITNAM
if u didnt know what RS is its rising storm and god DAMN is that game crazy
@@FrankBradshaw_hoiketech it's Vietnam, not Veitnam, just a friendly reminder.
Vietcong the game made by some Czech studio ? I played it and it was a blast
Vietcong and Vietcong 2 is really good
@@Kizuha I played both and I prefer the first
It would have been amazing if after beating the game, then on your second play through there would be multiple new interactions that allow you to snap out the brain washing
Like in the base where you can trip the alarm instead of it saying activate alarm it says “break from brain washing” and you get to kill Adler and breeze through the mission with the AI on your team
I'm quite amused by what happens if the player dies in Break On Through. Adler says something about how it never happened. The best one is "Bell, are you telling me you DIED in Vietnam?"
What do you call a guy with no arms and no legs in the ocean?
Bob.
6:58 if you unlock the gated room early, he watches you too.
3:44 sometimes he will also say “Damn I didn’t know you can shoot like that!”
Neat easter egg/hidden detail in the third zombies map when you grab items you get different responses from the characters. For example if you get a fuse before you see where you're supposed to use it they will make fun of you for "grabing everything you see." but after failing to turn on the power they give you a different quote.
Woods: " pfft. Video games. There is no future in that shit"
Bell : Well, you and i are video games😂😂
Interrogation room is reference to the one Alex mason is being held in in black ops one and the mirror with numbers is probably a reference to the numbers the Soviets put in masons head
That's perfect considering the game show is called what do the numbers mean.
