I can not emphasize enough how important content like this is to build the reputation of the sport in this country. If USRowing refuses to promote and grow the sport themselves, it is up to those of us who are passionate about rowing and want to share it with the world to make awesome, engaging content like this! Keep it up. You have my full support!!
It's working! A friend sent this to me, like Eamon suggested. Now I'm gobbling up as much content as I can (working backwards through the catalog of videos). Great content! I was inspired and purchased a pair of slides for my erg. Also interested in getting out on the water (I've only been in a quad sculling twice)
keep making these videos, it provides really valuable insight into how these top athletes are training and performing. really great thing you’re doing.
Great footage ! I love to see you bonding with the rowers you are filming, it is an interesting and unique approach to filming rowers that I appreciate a lot ! I am hoping that you will find a way to either pay the license or that you'll come up with a cheaper way around it ;)
I wouldn't even mind NBC having a monopoly on everything Olympic if they actually showed the footage beyond one live stream which is very hard to access. It really harms the sport that they're preventing so many people from viewing it on a platform like this.
I like seeing the sculling but I would like to see some more background. For instance I notice that almost all the singles and many of the doubles have the bow mounted riggers, I would like to hear why that is preferable to either a traditional wing or side mounted riggers. Maybe talk to people about equipment and training trends.? Also maybe talk to some of the coaches and support staff. Give us a full picture of this thing. We can just turn on the TV to NBC to see the races I want to look deeper. Thanks, Peace
I’ll see if I can put some of that equipment info in next week! Right now I’m trying to stay out of the way of the athletes getting into game mode and just capture solid footage from the sidelines. I’ve got a few interviews and whatnot lined up and will post snippets in the future (but saving them for the full doc).
Interesting video, not sure why it came up on my TH-cam "page/feed" if there is such a thing? My uncle, Conn Findlay, was an Olympic rower back in the day: late 50's and 60's. My brother was a rower at Stanford as was my other uncle (Conn's brother). Beautiful sport!
Absolutely love the footage! I love following this project and it is so insightful about the process most rowers don't see! P.S. Tulane Rowing better than Duke Rowing (Hopefully the boys will duel it out at SIRA next year)
@@EamonGlavin not exactly how it works, but the point is whether you want to play by their rules or not. You have a level of access and rapport with the athletes that NBC doesn't. You can use that and do your own thing or hang around angling for a media pass.

When that Quality 2160p 😩🙌
If it ain’t 4k, it ain’t even worth it. But really just out here working on my application for Team Crispy
It's been a blessing to see the "best of the best" rowing in Sarasota, FL. Good luck to everyone competiting!

These videos are fabulous. Up close and personal. Thank you.
Eamon - Go work for NBC as a contractor or independent - save yourself 15 grand and get paid by them! Good Luck!
Love the footage and the insight into U.S. Rowing that you (are allowed to) provide! Keep it up!
The womens double at 5:24 labeled Hudson belongs to my team we leant it to them for the race I think
Keep up the good work - your footage is inspiring us as far away as Bruges in Belgium!
Love watching these starts! NBP is a fantastic venue.
Very nice rowing venue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice rowing video Eamon, I'm a rower from Australia and love watching you row in the single
Amazing footage. Well done

Great footage keep up good work surprised no one using foils ?
Great video! I read that NBC will be broadcasting the semifinals and finals. Is anyone going to live stream video of the time trials and the heats?
Cheers Mike! But I believe there will be no live streaming Monday to Wednesday, only Thursday and Friday, unfortunately.
I was there Saturday and Sunday! The water was extremely choppy
SO INSPIRING!!!!
What are the songs 😀
This is pretty incredible content #subscribed
love it bro dont get this type of content often

I didn’t realize I would wake up today and be personally ATTACKED! Hahaha but glad you enjoy the footage!
Stream the NBC footage on your computer. Shoot video of that footage. Use all you want. It's called fair use.
Eh... not reeeeeally how that works but I like you’re thinking

...but they have lawyers that deal with those kind of things for a reason.
NBC is so much !!
They’re doing the absolute most
Hype train!
I love these videos if you started a gofundme for the NBC licensing I'd help!!!
Damn I just raced there
As in today? As in the windiest regatta I’ve ever seen?
@@EamonGlavin yessir, as in today. The headwind was definitely killer. Qualified for finals tomorrow tho!!
