Absolutely delighted with how this came out... especially since it took multiple months to edit to the standard these athletes deserve. Who needs media credentials?
Also, it has been 3 years so I have followed a lot of these people since then!

I'm not a rower, and I'm a year late to this video, but somehow the algorithm brought me here. You tell some great stories. I failed to qualify to my own national team by one spot last year, so the looks on some of these athletes faces hit home hard. I hope in the future you get the accreditation you deserve, so you can keep telling amazing stories and showing some amazing athletes.

Dudeeee! So good. God I wish you were given media credentials, such a missed opportunity by the rowing world. A lot of people don’t realize the potential behind a story until they’ve already lived thru it and it’s too late. Bravo for seizing the opportunity and sending it. Keep innovating, more and more things like these will come once everyone else wakes up and sees what you can do

One story I have that I didn’t mention was Tom Pezsek’s, the stroke of the US Men’s Pair. He went to the 2012 London games in the pair and finished 8th overall. He missed out on the 2016 Rio games in the pair by a boat length in the US Olympic trials. He missed the 2020 Tokyo games by a boat length here at FOQR, so it was just heart wrenching to see.

Eamon, this is a great film - really captures the emotion and the sheer beauty of the sport. In a way, you were better off making the movie on the "outside" - the whole thing was a lot more natural and you ended up with those emotional post-finish sequences

They did have the pair qualified but the athletes who qualified the boat (John Smith and Lawrence Brittain, Olympic gold and silver medallists) were in the four. I'm sure the guys in the four would have got a shot to see if they could make a faster pair if they didn't qualify the four.

Nice Hommage to my home lake where I grew up. Great episodes and looks of the different faces of the lake. Super videos of „sudden death“.
I wished you had added some of the history to the lake.
Basically two men created the technical infrastructure to make this lake a rowing paradise.
One was my father Karl Peyer, technical director from 1947 to 1974.
The other Dr. Herrmann Heller who was in charge of the first ever Rowing World Championships in 1962.
The lake became so famous that in 1963 Richard Nixon came to visit the lake.
If you need add. Info. I am gladly at your disposal
    Kindest regards
    Alex Peyer

Really nice capture of the tension and drama lot of people are unaware of.
I raced many times in Luzern (medalled several times and even won once in 4-), but only once in 2012. had a opportunity to enjoy the regatta as non rower, from behind the scene.
    What a difference. 😊
