Just have to say, I’m kind of a new fan since discovering your Cooking With Pagans and your playing and approach to writing music has been game changing for me. And thank you for all the great content you put out, keeping us entertained at all times! My hope is that some day I accidentally run into you in Sweden as I visit every year to see my brother and his kids. Keep it moving fast my friend!
Hey and thanks for the comment! (I heard this one several times so I thought I should answer properly) First of all, I am very grateful for every single view of what I do. I love the feedback and when some of my unorthodox stuff is being tried out. It's a true reward and I feel very humble about it. The channel is growing nice and steady but if I wanted to speed it up I certainly wouldn't be doing the kind of content I do because it may challenge the viewer and this is annoying to most. To plant a seed of forward-thinking and encourage the audience to try new things is the main purpose here. This has never been popular throughout history because, again, that requires a bit of time and effort. The majority of people, and I don't mean this in a condescending way, want familiar things to chill to; another reaction video, another distortion pedal test, watching gameplay, funny home videos or a "crazy" cover version of something you already know well. The easy way out. Most folks couldn't care less about stimulating time signatures in 75/16. There is also something genuinely uncool about saying "remember to hit subscribe" or "support me on Patreon", etcetera, for a man of my generation. My son is 13 and doesn't see it this way but I tell him he will never hear these sort of things coming out of his dad's oral opening. (Dad is not a TH-camr. Dad writes music). You would be surprised how many messages I receive every week from various "social media experts" on how to make clickbait thumbnails or how little I need to spend on Fiverr to get shitloads of "actual organic views"... well. It's not what it's about. Subscribe if you want to. If you are disgusted by the weird content and my ugly face, please don't. What is... is. And it's all OK. I am just very happy to be spreading an alternative to most stuff out there for those who are interested, walking the road less traveled. Thanks a bunch. Happy Holidays and expect a great deal of more inspired madness to come. I am merely getting warmed up. IA
