I so enjoy how your female characters have such spunk, humour, fortitude and gumption given the historical setting...it adds a fresh twist. The icing on the cake is you reading your fabulous books and bring the characters to life in my imagination...your talent knows no boundaries. Thank you for sharing your stories with us 💜
Thank you so much! It can be hard to try and portray a female character not being totally downtrodden, considering the ghastly patriarchal constraints they were forced to live under at the time. But then I think of Elizabeth Bennet from Pride & Prejudice, and the way Jane Austen, living in that society, wasn't afraid to write a heroine who was determined to live life on her own terms... and I say well, if she could imagine it, I certainly can!
I was introduced to Victorian/ Regency love stories in the 1970's and am forever in love with the idea of love though romantic love has escaped me. Your narration has made this audiobook so much more enjoyable. It has almost made me believe in the lovely fairytale. TY for posting.
A damsel in a tower, a guardian come to fetch her to London, what could possibly go wrong? Wonderful love story! Thank you so much for a fresh take on romance.
When I think of how serious, solemn and sad our world can be. How this is often reflected in what we are given to listen to. The contrast we are presented with here in this wonderful comedic almost whimsical audio presentation is very refreshing enjoyable and entertaining. It is also very well read. Thank you for a very enjoyable story.
Lovely & just right for a rainy day in Wales, I’ll stay inside all day where it’s comfy, cosy & I can listen to your stories for as long as I want. Many thanks xxxx
@@cathbilson We’re in a very small village, if you blink you’re through it, Foel, about 18miles from Welshpool in Powys but it was Montgomeryshire which I think is a much better County name, we’re surrounded by green fields, trees, sheep & cows. We’re not that far from Barmouth which is a lovely mostly Victorian seaside town, with a very large sandy beach, fairground, seaside promenade, a lifeboat station, lots of small quirky shops, two fish & chip shops plus a few pubs. Hope you’re enjoying Australia & all its brilliant places, you’ll be very well settled by now. We’ve just been sat outside in the sunshine having a coffee, it started off very overcast but it’s beautiful now. Hope you keep well, take care xxxx
Thank you! I really wanted to mess with the trope... It's almost always the heroine who gets kidnapped by the hero, very rare to see it the other way around!
I loved it. Thank you for writing this lovely short story it helps people like me who have such bad eyesight. We can’t read anymore without glasses and loupes
You're very welcome - my day job is working in disability care and one of my clients is blind, so audiobooks are the only way she can read at all. She helped me get into this as a career!
I enjoyed this little story of yours, loved how no time was wasted on unneeded description. and the characters were quite lovable. I laughed at so many parts I can't recall. The premise was right up my ally and your MC was sharp and clever, only her can pull something like that. I connected with her grief and her dreams and ambitions, it was all so beautifully explained. I must say though, lord Blaymire was too forgiving, he didn't even stay mad for that long after being drugged then locked up against his well like that. I also found his voice a little rough, made him sound angrier than he really is, which is funny in and of itself🤣 Thanks for your hard work♥
Well I am so glad you stumbled in... stick around a while, there's a bit of a back catalogue to catch up on, and I try and upload something new every couple of weeks or so!

Catherine this Rapunzel-esque Reversal story was delightful. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your great work! Love your books that are short. The story moves along and doesn't take 11 hours to get to the first kiss!
Haha, I'm not sure I could write a story that was 11 hours long anyway, I don't have the patience!
