I got caught up in this lovely little story. I have read and now I have listened to many Regency stories. I have pictured the cottage above the beach and the endless balls and loveless marriage in my head. I am happy for the reuniting, but I would love to have had a chapter of the lovers entering the Christmas Ball together. Take that silly Hannah!
This was one of the most beautiful stories. I was extremely saddened that the story was so short would’ve liked it went into more detail, but it did not take away from the beauty of the story though. Thank you so very much.
A good story, holding My attention, (unusually), from the beginning to the end. I've forwarded it to My, (unromantic), Wife! - Thank You both, Alison and Catherine.
Lovely story but like other commentors would loved to have had a little epilogue of Christmas joy for our star crossed lovers who deserved to finally be together. Catherine Bilson wonderful as usual. Now I am off to read Alison Stuart's novel 'The Goldminers Sister' that Imjust so have happened to have added to my library recently. ❤
Thanks Alison. Loved your work. I would also like to thank Catherine for giving voice to (for me) new authors. I will be looking out for Alison's other books, especially those set in Australia.
Alison is an amazing author who also writes historical mysteries as A.M. Stuart. I recently narrated the 4th in her popular Harriet Gordon series, Terror In Topaz... an absolutely wonderful series, highly recommend all of them!
Sorry lovely, it is just a short one! The author does write fantastic (long) historical mysteries as A.M. Stuart, highly recommend you check those out!
@@debbie46001 Funnily enough, the author actually told me she originally wanted an epilogue but the publisher (Escape Publishing) said no. She gets her rights back next year and is now thinking that an epilogue may be just the ticket... especially since you good folks agree with her!
A look back into history albeit via a story showing how horrible some males were to women. Thankfully nice ones existed too. Sophie ..such a spolit brat. Nice book and story.

Finally! A story without all the long, drawn out misunderstandings! Nice little story.
Loved it, I thought the length was just rust right & I hope they’re happy always, Many thanks Alison & Catherine xx
Enjoying this one
Nice little story! I'd love a sequel to know what happened after they were reunited.
Oh this was so good❤ but too short. Thank you!
