As an English learner I adore the way you write ❤ you don’t describe things emotions inner voices as meticulously as other regency writers do . Listening to those unimportant long described details may be tediously boring and you don’t use difficult literary words . it makes your books thoroughly readable. Your books are suitable and tantalising not only for native English speakers but for us English learners ❤❤ you help us a lot 🙏 love from Turkey
FABULOUS! Loved Adien and Emily's story. Well written and well read. Highly recommended. Thank you Catherine for a wonderful couple of hours. Blessings to you!
This was a wonderful and enjoyable story to listen to. It lifted my spirits. It was both well written and well read. Thank you so much for such a lovely story.
I totally enjoyed this book from the minute I started listening. It is the most absorbing story I have ever heard. Heartwarming, interesting, and just wonderful! I will be looking for more!!
I love your stories, both short and long. What I love just as much are your epilogues which allows me to think about your characters after The End. Thank you for these.
Thank you! It's a big commitment to record (and to write :P) the longer books, but I do have a great big one coming soon when I can get it done - it'll be well over 6 hours!
Greetings from San Diego! You out did yourself with this work. That is why l must express my appreciation for your generosity in sharing. It really has been awesome, thank you.
I have always enjoyed your audio books, but this one was extra fun to listen to because my last name is McAndrew and so similar it sounded the same. It was funny when the narrator would say 'Lady MacAndrew', sounded like they were talking about me and my family! haha
Oh how fun! I actually always have weird feelings whenever a romance heroine is named Catherine/Katherine/Kate. Currently narrating a contemporary romance for a client with a Katherine/Katy and it's SUPER WEIRD!
That is so lovely to hear, thank you! Unfortunately the original book was written for an anthology with a word count limit so I had to restrain myself. Lots more books to listen to on my channel though and I try and upload something new every couple of weeks or so!
Really, Really enjoyed this book, just wish it was longer lol.. Is it possible for a series with the MacAndrew clan in the future? I would read (or listen to) a whole series of such a wonderful cast of characters. Great narration as always Catherine, thanks so much for uploading this little gem here on TH-cam!
Don't tempt me :D I have a bad habit of thinking every little story I write ought to be a series... and then never finishing off ACTUAL series! With that said, sorry, no plans to make this into a series at all. I'm finishing the Blushing Brides series then diving into an 8 (!) book series based around a gentleman horse breeder and his adopted daughters later this year. Prequel out later this year and hopefully book 1 too at least!
@@cathbilson - LOL , well that just took the wind outta my sails but I can understand what it's like having to many pokers in the fire at one time. 😉 Very happy to hear about the Blushing Brides series continuing and this new one coming up sounds right up my alley (use to breed colored sport horses) so I really look forward to the prequel coming out! Thanks for replying and have a wonderful week.
Thank you for sharing this audiobook! I finished it in one go! Good story, though it felt a bit rushed at the end, or maybe I just wasn't ready for the story to end ...
The story was written for an anthology with a capped word count :D I do struggle to write shorter these days and I know it was an effort to get in under the cap with this one... in fact I think I was over by a couple thousand words but graciously allowed leeway!
Not yet, it's currently exclusive to TH-cam! The ebook will go on sale early in April 2024 and the audiobook will be available soon after. Thank you so much for your support!
@@cathbilson I agree, but...mysteries abound. Also I can't calculate how high up the video view is, so they may actually be buildings (but I was thinking "built along an exposed cliff top?"). Thank you for answering. And I am REALLY enjoying all your audio books and narration. Thank heavens it's not AI. All your work is sincerely appreciated.
Thank you!@@Kayenne54 Funny how things catch our attention though, isn't it? I source these videos (ethically!) so that my audiobooks have a pleasing visual background that's not just static image.
@@cathbilson I really like it, that's why I was studying it so intently. Thank you for that extra touch to the experience as well. Lots of work per book.
@@cathbilson 2:04:47 Yep, I'm back. I think they're building a mud brick or cob wall, to prevent animals (and humans?) from plunging to their doom. Looks like white bags filled with soil or similar. Further away, there is a wall. Closer up there isn't, but there are those white objects stacked along the future line. (I at last figured out about high up the video was taken, to get perspective on size). Well, that's my best (last!! I promise) theory yet. Image clearer at 2:05:01
Love. It great. More like this please. It's so hard to find good ones. There either, porn or AI Over the top religious to the point where it becomes a sermon and not a story.
It's not actually been released yet! It's still included in an ebook anthology until April 1st, after which I get the ebook and paperback publishing rights back and can put it up.
Such an anticipated read or should i say listen😢 This wasn't even a slow burn this was a no burn. I'm sorry it had so much potential but the ending was rushed.
Out of almost 34,000 people who have watched this to date, you're the first person to note this issue. The recording is normalized to meet Audible standards...so you won't be able to listen to any Audible book, if this is too quiet for you? I'd recommend you look into your sound settings.
@@cathbilson . The mobile devices we listen on are always on max volume. But my beloved has hearing problems. Audible, and many on YT are fine. But some are just too quiet. Sweet story, gentle pace. Soothing indeed. Some say fairytale, yes I agree. Such people, especially men like Aidan don't exist.
Sorry you haven't met an Aidan. They are out there, and I have met a few. And also people who believe in me when I didn't.

Unrelated to story comment, but are those white objects along the cliff tops of the escarpment bee hives in the background video? or something else?
I actually have not looked that closely! Seems an odd spot for bee hives, to exposed, I would think.

My only issue with this story is that it wasn’t longer. I loved it and wanted so much more.
Thank so so much! Unfortunately it was written for an anthology which had a specific word cap I had to adhere to.
It took alot for Emily to say NO. The Scottish romances are the best.
The accent's hard work but I do love a good Scottish romance :D
And yes, Emily was very brave, but she had to be... she was backed into a corner.
