- Hey everyone, in this video I give the urban stealth camping scene a try. After my last trip, I decided to stop in at a Walmart in the small town of globe Arizona, to see if its something worth doing or if its a complete bust and to avoid at all cost. Watch here to find out!

Thanks for watching. And yeah we just sold our roof top tent and now going to a full inside set up, so we can stealth camp more when needed. Great vehicle though, on and off road. And will last forever!
Thanks for posting. I bought a new 2020 in Dec 2019. This looks much better than sleeping in the front seat. I have a lot with me when I'm mining.

I’ve done this before in my 5th gen 4Runner. I definitely miss having it for that reason. Not the same in a short bed Tacoma. It’s the tent or bust for me. Good video!
Thanks you, yeah I removed the 60 portion of the rear seat, and just laid some cushions down and I'm 6'2" and fit perfectly fine back there. But once my wife's with me will be doing it in the roof top tent, not enough room in there with the fridge inside for both of us. You can always trade it in for the 6ft bed tacoma and do a camper shell haha. I almost went that route, but the 4runner won out.

Been watching a lot of videos on this type of camping. If you plan doing more, buy a couple roles of Reflectix off Amazon and cut it too fit the windows. Cuts down light and keeps peepin’ Tom’s from looking in.
Oh yeah I've seen that too, kaitlyn will be with me though mostly and no room in there for two. So will have to pop the tent on top and hide up there.

Only good in a pinch, otherwise I recommend the great outdoors haha.

There will be those moments when that Walmart lot will be needed while traveling on the road. However, it seemed like it wasnt too bad overall. Would you open the tent if you both were there or just stealth it in the front seats?
Oh definitely open the tent lol. We just much prefer the privacy of a dirt lot or forest road as would most lol
Yeah I would say we'd get better sleep in the tent vs trying to sleep in the front seats, once fully loaded cant recline to much. But if we had to we would. But not if I can help it haha.
We always are uneasy about parking lot camping. Don’t know why, just are. We’ve only done it a handful of times but it was always an uneasy nights sleep. Yes..we know the man...he has a horse 🤣😂.
Glad you know the man about a horse lol. But yeah we did it when we had a truck camper as well. I'd say I prefer to do it in that, but in this case once I fell asleep nothing woke me up but my own body haha. So not against it in my 4runner either. Will see what happens if we got to do it in the roof top tent next time.
I will pay your fines if you bust out a wood camp stove and roast marshmallows in a Walmart parking lot.
Lol not sure if even get fined for that. But probably alot of stares.

You need to make some black panels to cover your windows. Then no one (A hypothetical thief) can see you. They don't know if your awake or not, inside your car or not, watching them or not, calling the police or not, pointing a gun at them or not. You need panels. Also, you'd be able to go park in a safer more populated part of the parking lot without worrying about the lights keeping you awake.
I agree, actually currently building a interior sleep set up in this rig now, and plan to do just that.
