One of my ATFs. This song just rocks. Joe Jackson has an incredible catalog. Not every song has this level of energy - but then again, most songs don't. Worth a trip down the rabbit hole with tunes such as "Cha Cha Loco," "Is She Really Going Out With Him," "Steppin' Out," and "Breaking Us In Two."
Love some Joe Jackson.... "Steppin Out"... "Slow Song"... "Be My Number Two"...."Everything Gives You Cancer".... "Breaking Us In Two"... "Is She Really Going Out".... just for starters. Nice choice, again.
If you haven't heard Joe Jackson before, you must check out ''I'm the Man''...''Sunday Papers'' ..''Look Sharp''.. ''Is She Really Going Out With Him.'' His first two albums in particular, are very good..
I really love your analysis of the song. I've listened to it for years, but you actually made me appreciate the lyrics as much as I've always loved the music. I've listened to this a million times, but NEVER broke down the lyrics. Really great and concise. Thanks.
Damn! Not only did you react to one of my all-time favorite songs by Musician Genius Joe Jackson; You, then, turned into a Supa Fly Philosopher about this song... LOVE IT!
More love still needed here to one of THE unsung greats and one of his 'superb tunes' Joe Jackson "Happy Ending" is a love song with a killer sax finale!
Joe Jackson was a great 80s with an eclectic catalog of songs. He started out as kind of new wave and really branched out into many different styles. I'll being droppin a few suggestions of his great music, so look out, J!
Nice! I bought that album on cassette back in the day. When you're ready for more from Joe Jackson, check out "Got The Time" from his debut album, a song that hits so hard Anthrax covered it.
He's English. Actually started out with a couple(?) of new wave albums, then took a jazzy turn. I highly recommend you check out some more Joe Jackson. Blaze of Glory, Nineteen Forever, Stepping Out, etc.
SO SO SO underated and underappreciated. Saw him 4 or 5 times in NYC at his peak. Incredible musician. Killer band.
By far my favorite Joe Jackson song! The horns! The Bass! Great message! ❤❤❤
Mine also !
Joe Jackson "Is She Really Going Out With Him" & "Look Sharp!"..Both MUST HEAR Classics. 🔥❤️🔥

Joe is prolific and his catalog is all top shelf

Sometimes it's pretty weird when someone plays a record you used to know but literally haven't heard in 40 years. I mean.. FORTY years! Damn, I'm old
Oh Goody!!! Joe Jackson is awesome!

Joe is a great guy and that's why he can conjure up such great and pertinent lyrics. But the music is majestic and so unique.
Love Jo Jackson Classic 80
To the requester of this artist. Nice choice, you beat me to it.
This is my favorite tune of his.
My favorite artist. He still puts on a great show
And they can play all this music live just as good as the studio recordings…
He came to my college senior week 1984. It was a great show . Our gymnasium at time fit only about 3000. Made it extra special 🎉
Soooooo
Smoooooooooooooove!
The whole album is incredible!

Joe always reminds me of John Zov... Multiple instruments and great writing/arrangements with all styles of music.
Nice pick!!!!!
That entire album is fantastic. 😎👍 try “Heart of Ice” from that album.
Gotta hear Everything Gives You Cancer. I know- strange title but it’s jazzy and fabulous
He's English. Actually started out with a couple(?) of new wave albums, then took a jazzy turn. I highly recommend you check out some more Joe Jackson. Blaze of Glory, Nineteen Forever, Stepping Out, etc.
Excellent....need to pull any tune from I'm The Man, Beat Crazy, Night and Day or Look Sharp albums.
