Phenomenal artist. I'm happy you're giving him lots of love on your channel!
Try "You Can't Get What You Want" and "Cha Cha Loco" from his LP Body And Soul.

I had acquired tickets to his concert mid 1980s at a local outdoor venue called Poplar Creek. I was familiar with some of his music and I liked it okay. That was before I saw him live. I was really impressed with the material, the talent and performance of him and his band at that concert and I walked out a fan. Joe Jackson’s album Live 1980/86 I really like.

I never really got into Joe Jackson but damn I've loved this song ever since it was released. Thanks again JMBOY, what a day!🤘
That low-tone synth "piston" loop running almost throughout the entire song is the workhorse of this No. 6 Billboard Hot 100 hit.

It is way up my list of favorites. I heard the whole album once or twice in the 80s, but mostly just the hits. However, I remembered liking it, so I bought the CD (and LP later) about ten years ago and I was stunned by how good it is!!

Probably his best song, though that's debatable as he had a lot of greats. He was a fan of XTC which started in the same decade he did (the 1970s) and has covered some of their songs ("Statue of Liberty" fits Jackson's style perfectly).
Another of Jackson's covers was "Jumpin' Jive" originally by Cab Calloway!

I love that song, if it's that one. Is there sax in it?
(😜No, I didn't misspell "sax" you bad people...I meant to put an "a" there. Ok, I do usually like songs that are full of sax and violins.🥸)

Going out on a Friday nite just doesn't feel the same as it did, all those decades ago. Staying in was a much more boring option back then.
I guess that contrast of a Friday nite in the city can explain the lure, anticipation and excitement of those times.
When you consider up until 1982...the things we all experience in our homes now that we use to have to go out to experience, before the explosion of both home video and gaming consoles. Having to go out for just those 2 things alone made the whole experience much more special. I can recall in 1980, standing in front of 20 or so large TVs in a Cinema foyer, previewing movie trailers and more than 30 people just soaking it in, just before the Video rental phase arrived.

This so funny, when this was released in what, 87 or so? I hated it. I thought the intro sounded like the theme song to the Saturday Afternoon Matinee lol. Over tine it grew on me. Especially the verses.

Saw him in a small venue in 79 , was in awe of Graham Maby , for me personally when this dropped in 82, with new found popularity, it was more commercial mainstream, lost his edge
