- This is Part 2 of an interview from 16th February 1995 by Finnish filmmaker Rishi, who was producing a series of documentaries titled "Mystics of Today".
It includes the following questions:
1. My question is about the visit of Rama in Madras.
2. Is it true that a single glance of Ramana Maharshi liberated you? What is this transforming power of the Guru?
3. Are the Gurus of the east saviours in the same sense as Jesus was and is? Is Ramana still alive in the same sense as Jesus?
4. What or who is the Guru?
5. After your realisation you continued your life as before, why? Why didn’t you start helping your suffering fellow?
6. Rishi asks Papaji about his vision of all his incarnations by Ganga. Was this a newer realisation or just the experience of earlier incarnations?
7. Do you still progress in this final stage of evolution, where are you now?
8. When it is said that the Guru is one with god, does it mean that he is able to see through everybody’s 'I'? Is he a separate individual but still one with the ultimate?
9. What should we do in order to realize what you have realised?
10. You actually didn’t practice ‘who am I?’ Doesn’t your own example show that we have to purify our mind with intense spiritual practice?
11. Is the same spiritual road fit for everybody?

Long long ago dear Papaji told me that Vedanta will slowly move to the west. Westerners are now beginning to discard the belief systems and are willing to look at the teachings of the Upanishads which declare that everlasting happiness is not to be ‘acquired’ from somewhere outside us but is already our Real Nature here and now. What is preventing our knowledge of that is the ignorance. If through discrimination between the real and the appearance the ignorance is warded off, the knowledge dawns from within oneself and not from outside. That is Jnana or Enlightenment or Liberation. It is only possible by approaching a Realized person, who is a Guru.

there is, he talks about how he saw all his previous lives in a second. but more importantly you need to do some spiritual work to advance in this life.
But if there is no soul how can there by a past life.If no aspect of individuality servives death then what can be said to be reincarnated.

Hedieh Kianyfard I think the secret is the "attainment". He told me but I can't express it in words. 😉😜
Flecha he said it comes after attainment. So it’s about transmission. Like Shams did for Rumi. at first I thought he meant the secrete can be transmitted by look and gaze like I assume how he received it from Ramana Maharisi but then at the end he answered me by saying it is so subtle that it can not be even transmitted by look! I just wish the interviewer would asked him more on the subject.
The secret is, he said it once: "I dont mind what happens". Best regards

Hmmm here is the conflict of hinduism and islam. In hinduism they belief in gods with desires. In islam its only one god and allah has no name and form and is perfect. Just hearing papaji at 1.20 I understans now the conflict in india....between hindus ans muslims

there is only one God, all relions including hindu and Islam believes in that. Mohammad and hindu called Gods are messengers of the God. If you go into in depth of the religious books, then you would find this. Jesus, Guru Nanak all are messengers of God. God has no name, form, shape, neither born nor would die, omnipresent and superpowerful.
