    One of the biggest dissapointments for me is the fact they never released a campaign for Sins 1, but to not include one in Sins 2 is really quite sad.
    A campaign could have so much potential, starting off as Tec, establishing a trade network, then troubles with the Advent, then the Vasari arrive, ending in the battle vs whatever the heck was slaying the Vasari.

      I would love to see a campaign as well, I think it could be done like Supreme Commander 2 or like a Galactic Conquest from Empire at War.
      That being said, plenty of other strategy games don't have campaigns and with each game in Sins supposed to be one of the star systems or sectors out of thousands in the in-universe was, I think a campaign with a canon battle path could be very tricky to pull off correctly.

      @@fractalspecterbest option in my opinion would be galactic conquest from Star Wars but after let’s say like “10 in game years” the map expands, you have time to explore your own “sector” first and expand locally, then as time moves on the map expands and you start facing more external threats

    Really cool video, is there any research upgrades for the garrison command? :D alao can you build more other than the one on your home planet?

      Yes, there are research upgrades for it and I do go through them later in the playthrough. And you can build one on each world you own, though I didn't realize that at the time

    Great to see a sequel finally. Just have one question...is there a toggle to turn off strategic weapons? LOL - game-breaker.

      In this version access to them is extremely limited. From the factions released, only the TEC rebels have a superweapon.

      @@fractalspecter That's one superweapon too many :) I played a TON of the original, but only with the mod that let us remove those damned things.

      It actually feels pretty good now, and it's range doesn't seem to be infinite from what the AI use with it. When I do my playthrough/faction intro series for the TEC rebels I'll look more heavily into it

      @@fractalspecter If there was a COUNTER to them, that would be one thing. But the main problem with them is that they effectively made choke points meaningless if memory serves.

      Planetary defense shields are available on every starbase now, planet health is really easy to upgrade, and with the moving planetary systems, the whole dynamic for defense has completely changed. So far Novaliths haven't been that important, but I haven't tested it myself

    I watched until "part 6" and I decided I don't like this game, so sad. It's just a "base defense" RTS with some bare bones diplomacy options (that I didn't see you use not even once in almost 6 hours of gameplay). Too shallow to be called a 4X or even a "4X hybrid". It would be like saying Age of Empires is an RTS-4X hybrid because they have diplomacy and a market there and you must expand your base to win, when the diplomacy is just pressing a button to trade resources. This is just a "system/base defense" RTS, where the goal is to follow the star-lines (expand, because you must) until you destroy the enemy base, making your UI numbers go higher than the enemies' in the process (no deep thinking or deep economy/trading/alliances involved other than protecting your choke points) putting some defenses in every system because you MUST do that to progress in the game (again, no deep strategy involved just bare-bones "diplomacy"). Why isn't AI Wars called an RTS-4X hybrid game then? Because SINS 2 is basically the same thing and it's called a RTS-4X hybrid just because you can press a button to trade stuff in a simplistic market?. There's no deep strategy in this game to be considered a 4X, and it's just too slow with very little unit variations to be a successful RTS. The first SINS was a novelty and that made it super successful, but I don't think SINS 2 will be, it's just a niche game, the same SINS 1 but with those rotating star-lines that add a little layer of variation to avoid one or two choke-points. A "real" 4X-RTS hybrid would be "Dune Spice Wars" where you have some RTS and deeper 4X elements, without being AS deep like Distant Worlds or Stellaris, which are real-time 4X games. I'm very disappointed, I wanted it to be better, bigger with deeper diplomacy options compared to SINS 1 but it's just the same game... More star-lines connected to a same "planet/system" would be awesome, we usually see 2-4 max... if there were 6-8 lines it'd add more layers of complexity to the game, and OFC spaceships moving a bit faster... since the focus of this game is the RTS aspect apparently. But apparently the people that like this game prefer the natural "turtl-y" feel of the game as it is, taking a planet then another then another until they reach the enemy base 8 hours later (or more)... it's too shallow to be that slow!

    The shield effect look good, but something, i dont know, i like old sins look as it looks metal, ships look made of metal, and feel like watships, giving a sense you are watching something there, these looks plastic and dont know, they look lifeless, sorry i prefer rebellion

      The most recent videos I have are just after the April update, which includes a complete graphics rework and UI update. Feels way less plastic
