A mod I wish I was capable of making would be Starsector. Specifically adding the option to play as the ancient flying bricks.
They are saying August but we'll see. Seems too long for me but what do I know.
@@Zabtom There is not a defined date yet, I think it will probably be next year
Let it be known that the planet broke before The Guard did.
Praise The Emperor!
All will join the Unity… in time!
From the moment I understood the weakness of my non-psychic mind.....it's disturbed me.....
Hope they did not nerf the Advent Rebel Titan
i was going to say something negative but i have realized through the power of a single media booster that advent is indeed above any contempt
Hm that’s a lot of psychic stuff form someone in Giant Rail Gun range
Never mind as of 12 seconds ago the advent have spread there culture to this world
I love Sins of a Solar Empire, I used to play it a lot when I was much younger.
I'm looking forward to Sins of a Solar Empire 2.
I'm also a big fan of Stellaris, Sins of a Solar Empire is much more beginner friendly and the games don't take that long. I think that's good if you don't have that much time.
I feel the same, I remember playing it after school like every day, and this game looks lovely
while many games dont take too long
Star Trek and Star Wars modded games can take quite awhile......especially Star Trek's Borg on Cruel or Vicious.
I'm never forgiving my friend its was 5 of us vs 1 Borg.....so many losses
@@StarKnight619 I've played a modded game, but it sounds like fun, I should probably try it out.
@@Marvid236 the Star wars, Star Trek, and Halo total conversion mods are top tear
My Baserule in Sins was always first Capitalship = Colonizer :D
Unless TEC. that missle boat Cap is broken if you get level 6 with it in early game. Delete fleet missile move I choose you.
Please tell me I’m not the only one who would love to see what would happen when our boy Montu and Europes most notorious exploiter, The Spiffing Brit, are trapped in the same galaxy in Stellaris
Pretty sure the 4th faction isn't confirmed for sure yet? Just something they want to do. Advent is obviously coming for sure though, looking forward to seeing them on release.
Wait, so will there be 5 factions in the second game?
@@hampdog5716 There will guaranteed be 3 races / 6 factions available to play. A 4th race (presumably split into 2 factions) is AFAIK unconfirmed, and certainly won't be there on launch. I would not be shocked if they released a 4th as a standalone expansion like they did with rebellion splitting everyone into 2 factions in sins 1.
Im a Sins veteran but this video was still information overload, folks completely new to this game I feel like will see this and have their eyes glaze over. The lack of context building (probably due to Stardock telling you to hit talking points) makes this quite a lot to follow.
On that point, I was EXTREMELY devestated that Sins 2, something Ive been waiting for ever since the first game when we still had to hack more RAM into the game from 2GB to a "massive" 4GB, was announced as an Epic Games exclusive (huuuuge mistake, fuck that spyware), Im SO GLAD its now on Steam.
I agree with your take about information overload... However! Last game had a great compain-style narrative tutorial that taught you mostly everything you need to know. I'm glad that they made upgrades to the systems yet they still feel familiar. What worries me more is final balance.
On the other hand, there is a common misconception about epic's "exclusives". Most of the time it gives a developer much needed time and money to iron out their game essentially turning Epic release into an open Betta program. And it also gives a potential player ability to see a real game state for a half/full year before it's steam release. Win win for everyone.
@@007stareye Yeah, gotta agree. I have 0 problems if a dev takes epic's money, cooks for an extra year or two as an exclusive, then releases an even better game on steam.
@@Greenittheagreed
I understand the Epic Exclusive stuff tho, as far as I know it gives you 88% of the games money instead of 70% pike Steam does, so having an early access game on Epic is definitely a lot better for devs
Rimmy and his friends got early access to it as well. From the video its been streamlined in many good ways
So cool to know we're getting four factions at launch instead of just the three!
Pretty sure the "Two Factions" he's talking about in this vid are the two Advent factions being introduced later.
Hi, Montu. Have you thought about making a video about Nanites in Stellaris? They were reworked in a new patch, nanite battleships were added. Right now I'm getting a huge number of free battleships, but I didn't have enough skill for unity rush on machine intelligence, so I ascended late. I played for the machine intelligence because there is a good civic for astro-mining stations. I also started with arc welders to increase the number of nanites, and also got Cybrex mining stations.
I would like to see your design of these nanite battleships, because I'm still new to the game.
(It is written using auto-translation, I hope everything is correct)
One suggestion is to get tthe derelict tech asap. Those can net you a free level or even 2 in the early game.
This, this is why i want this game. I did this shit in the first game, playing 5vs3 with all ai and me and trying to fortify and hold up with my allies. Was very satisfying finally pulling it off.
I wish they'd already announce the release date. I know it's "Summer 2024" or Q3 (which also could be September) but I need precise numbers dammit! Game looks great.
Same here buddy
OMFG Yaas! When did Montu start doing Sins of a Solar Empire content? *Furiously starts combing through old Montu content* I'm excited to see what you have to share with the world on Sins!
Loyalist TEC is the faction i aways play with, twin fortress is just magnificent, the economy can snowball really quickly too, go TEC
and Hard difficulty is not that hard, Impossible difficulty, now that is a challenge, and do diplo, it is OP as hell
The more I see videos of this game the more I wish some features/changes were in rebellion. Definitely gonna pick this game up.
Old timer here (If you can remember the old Stardock Impulse days, then welcome)... Just wanted to say...
"Die Rebel scum "and my favorite human quote " For the preservation of our blue and pure world! "
(from Gundam Seed series, specifically from the Blue Cosmos faction who are anti-coordinator or basically anti-psychics)
Can't wait to play as TEC loyalist and make the world and universe safe for all Humans.
I never thought I would see the day SoaSE would get a 2nd game. been looking forward to it's release and glad to see it hitting Steam. Was sure to use your link to wishlist!
I'm going to guess "no".
Not that Montu is bad at the game, but I'm going to assume the AI is cheating to the point it's either unbeatable or so frustrating he'll ragequit.
Hard Ai is a walk over by me it's unfair and nightmare is when I start going. *pause game* "Welp I'm gonna loose a planet or twoooo or oh shit my capital gone and I had Capital victory on"
Skip the scout vision and get the phase space raid in minor faction ability, which can sometimes snipe one's homeworld unexpected
Goddamn I can not wait for this game to come to steam, Montu saying coming very soon twice makes me very hopefull that he is right :3
This reminded me a lot of AI war 2
looking forward to this title for sure.
I am extremely excited for Sins of a Solar Empire 2, I wasted hours and hours fighting impossible AIs in free for all and TDM. Once I got bored, I tried mods like Sins of the Prophets, Star Trek, and Star Wars, and Sins of the Prophets was by far the most fun, forcing you to adapt to the changes to the basics of the game as Humanity.
My only concern with Sins 2 is the art style, Sins 1 was more gritty and realitic, especially with the TEC ships and stations looking entirely utilitarian. Sins 2's TEC looks a lot more cartoony, and while we haven't had a good look at the Advent or Vasari in the trailer, I hope they don't get the same simplistic overhaul to their looks.
have this game on my wish list, can't wait til it comes out.
The devs are ramping up the defensive part of the Ai for the Advent launch! Try again then if you DARE!
Helll yea! I used this tactic too and play on map on 300+ planet
on late game fps drops to 15
This makes me want to play Sins Rebellion until 2 comes out.
I love the star war mod sins of the Galactic Empire for sins of a solar empire 1😍
Hopefully this new part gets also this mod 🤩
There is a LOT that looks familiar with Sins 2. I'm eager to see what is different and improved with the game aside from graphics. Thanks for the video to showcase what there is.
One thing you might not see here is that the factions are actually different, like the Vasari don't use money at all (except to interact with factions) and just rely on iron and crystal for their ships and buildings
A lot of the menu art, like the research pictures and the leader profile pics give me AI "art" vibes.... something about the saturation/lighting? I dunno...
I personally hope they still change it and it's just a temporary Early access thing
Hard AI stops playing after the 30 minute mark. Unfair isn't even a challenge.
What it's on steam finally!?! Why on earth did they wait so long? This is a amazing game I can't wait for the full game to be done and advent get added and modding!
2 as in the 2 advent factions or 2 as in 2 proper factions.
I need this game in my life
Reach... that objective... it hurts my soul. Not because it's bad, but because it was too good...
The dark fleet comes for you all
This game is so easy, if you use the right tactics... You already doing it bad by going with miltech on TEC wich is mostly needed lategame. Early game you go with tech wich helps you expand economy... Also this isn't even the latest version of the game... :D
I loved the first game
Try out impossible next! I play sins 2 a lot, i find it to be the right balance of better strategy + cheating against you :P
Wait, 2 more factions? TEC, Vasari are playable, Advent is coming. Who is the 4th? The Darkness? Or did Montu miss speak?
Maybe he counts the loyalist and rebels as individual factions. So two advent ones to come
*The Witness wants to know your location*
See, you didn't consider that a trade empire simply has too many clerks.
Only thing I'm not thrilled about is the art direction. It lacks the dark grit of the original. The cartoon look is an unfortunate change for the sequel.
The cartoon look can be turned off in the game. It's just the team colours making everything look like legos.
@@Isnogood12 I hope you're right!
@@joshr9730 They are right, other videos have shown the settings including low-color mode
Honestly it's not too bad, especially considering that im exchange you get actually working turrets, which is just insanely cool
Do you think Sins 2 will apply any competition to stellaris?
People compare Sins 2 to Stellaris a lot but in reality there isn't much that's similar between the two games. Both games provide very different experiences and as such I don't think they will be competing against each other. People will either play one or the other exclusively or play both games at different times.
Stellaris RTS edition?
This is an months old build of the game, get the most current update
Is there anything new in sins 2? Seems like a remake.
Tell me about it. I don’t understand why everyone is so hyped for this game.
The Vasari are reworked, they don't need money anymore. Also the research system is completely reworked, your research centers now boost speed and you need other buildings to unlock tech. Also the planets orbit (partially in different directions) and with that the hyperlanes change between planets, so you have to consider where to col9nize or your colony will be in the middle of the enemy in a couple minutes. Also the graphics are completely overhauled, so guns actually move. The combat is also reworked, with shields and armor recharging in bursts. Generally the armor is completely reworked and works completely differently, but is too complex to explain here. So except maybe the very outer frame, there really isn't much similar to Sins rebellion
Sins of a solar empire remastered
alot of the icons in that branch look ai generated.
hoping they fix that by the time of the game's release.
What's the actual release date? "Q3 2024" how far into q3 will we have to wait?😊
It's already out on Epic Games and I think it should be September if I remember correctly?
could you please make a stream/video with the updated build which came out yesterday? Now only those youtubers make it who don't know anything how to show a game with a lot of overlays and pointless talks...
i am jealous you Tec Man
Epic. . . I hate Epic.
maaaaan. Give me the game already. I don't care if it isn't 100% done.
No I beg you, do not have this feeling. Devs would only be more emboldened to pump out fast low quality games... Let them cook please
@@zafraz1077 chill the games already finished they just making us wait a little longer for a release date
@@GG21188 so they're ironing it out? Dude just this year I paid two game full price for release. And I was a legit beta tester. In fact one of those games STILL HAS MAJOR BUGS 6 months on. I was so angry. In fact not only this year. I am done paying them to be a beta tester. It's actually humiliating to a certain extent.
Im gonna be brutally honest. SIns 2 looks.... fine. But not good. It appears they just remade the same game in an updated engine, with a new UI. However the UI just seems very bland compared to the first one, it has none of the charm and personality that it used to have. I like that the ships look a lot nicer and more detailed now though. They also just reused the OST and voicelines as well as far as I could hear.
This isn't the current version I think, the game has pretty much reworked every system from shields and armor to trade and research
tower defense of any kind is garbage
