Here I compare the Bissell Green Machine next to the Hoover Cleanslate. These are two similar portable carpet cleaners on the market.
I personally use them both but wanted to highlight some differences and test them individually to see how they perform.

I am interested in knowing more about the cleaning fluid. Is it something that you just add a capful to the clean water tank or do you have to use a lot of that brand of cleaning solution? Can you use it with just plain water? Can you use other brands of cleaning solution?

I think the Little Green is better for my use and I got it for a great price at Flibblon

I'm not sure but I think I bought my little green in the early 2010's... I can NOT believe it's lasted as long as it has. The thing that blows my mind is that they STILL make the exact same thing all of these years later... I think I remember paying about the same price for it as they are now...give or take. Although mine didn't come with that hose clean tool...I've just always sucked clean water through the hose and left everything apart to dry...It was years before I learned the rubber stopper comes off of the dirty water tank. I removed it to clean it and it was absolutely gross. I think since I know the bissell little green is so reliable (if you take care of it) I'd choose that over the Hoover... I do have a Hoover upright carpet cleaner than I love.
