Big thanks for distinguishing the real world manicures vs the TH-cam manicures videos. I have butchered my nails and cuticles with files & efiles, trying to get that TH-cam finish. And definitely there is a BIG difference between the drill bits from Amazon/eBay file bits to professional drill bits.
Thank you for this video, I do my gel nails at home and decided to perfect my cuticle work, I was researching for the best cuticle bits and I found you through the Nail Hub channel soo happy I did, getting me the High End kit and a couple of more bits, the ones I'm missing from the Russian kit. Now I just have to see all your videos regarding cuticle work and educate myself in the best way to take care of my cuticles!
i use vaseline and sally hansen vitamin e on my nails works perfectly. i push back my cuticles daily very gently. i dont go to nail bars when i did they always said my nails are lovely. save myself alot of money by doing my own. i wear clear nail polish but not all the time .
Thank you so much Erica! I loved this video and the information on it! Super helpful, and you are right, media has bombarded us with all the perfect manicure pictures that it’s overwhelming. Btw this is Vicky from Mexico 🇲🇽
Wait - so what is the difference between hug end dry manicure and Russian manicure?? The one time you ask it you actually then just told us what they have in common. Is there a difference or are they exactly the same? Either way loved this video. Could watch you work forever!! Thank you so much.
It all comes down to how you decide to talk about it with your clients! "Russian mani" is a trendy buzz phrase to talk about clean cuticles- but so is "high-end". A combi mani though is a style from Eastern Europe that uses both cutting and efile techniques.
I love the idea of working on dry hands and feet in order to work on cuticles and calluses. However, do you have any suggestions for including water/soaking for customers that look forward to that part of the mani/pedi? Would it be okay to offer this service after all of the cuticle work and gel has been completed?
We do our manis and pedis completely dry since water can dry out the skin and cause issues, like product lifting. So we unfortunately don't have any suggestions on how to include water, I apologize!
soak your feet in baking soda and lavendar oil for 20 mins then dry you will end up with lovely soft feet. also use vaseline on your feet , it works fine and its cheap to do. good luck my friend
Another great bit for cuticle exfoliation is our safety sciver! For that, I'd recommend checking out our cuticle care video found here: th-cam.com/video/9k5WcKroZIQ/w-d-xo.html
@Erica's Dry Manicure + Pedicure The ones that I have seen are made out of silicone. Some of them look like they're textured on the surface, kind of like a regular buffer file, and some of them look smooth. They come in different colors for different grits, just like other bits, but these are colored in the silicone bits themselves instead of the colored band. I'm sorry if my explanation is hard to understand. I'm Swedish, so English isn't my first language and I don't speak or type in English very often 🙈😅
@@chaozinga Your english is great! Can't say I've worked with those tools- I'm all about using our 100% diamond bits for that final exfoliation and rehydration with the Polisher bit!
Hey Erica! No one in Russia uses blunt-nose cutter, just so you know :) And we’re using a tiny brush to put the product right beneath the cuticles, which doesn’t look like the way you did it. Perhaps, you’ll need to research a little more before shooting a Russian manicure video
So typical for a Russian response! Erica i think u did an excellent job.. pay absolutely no mind to the cocky jealous response! @olga nobody asked you!!!
Nobody can just "get on a plane and go to Russia" to learn this, not even Russians outside of the country. Can't even get letter mail in or out. And co-opting USSR techniques while being a bit holier than thou regarding policies there is pretty rich. Neit mozg, oupalnahmochenee, suga. Typical.

You deal with nails with such care! These salons are ruining people’s nails.
I looovvve just how real you are.. ❤😂
lol, we appreciate you! 🫶🤣
I notice you don't have any videos on your diamond hand files. Could you make some? I purchased all 4 and now don't know which one to use when lol
Happy to help! Fine grits are used for natural nails. Medium grit for gel nails and thick toenails. Coarse grit for acrylic nails.
Hi, does anyone know where can I buy this buffing ball please, I’m trying to find it everywhere and no luck 😕
I need that arm rest, where did you get it?

True ha,ha but people not knowing this 😂 it's before Russian manicure trend we are doing already also this technique
You know those large buffing bits in different colors/grits? Would we use those the same way you use your polishing bit? I mean, with cuticle oil? 🥰
I'm not sure exactly which bits you're referring to- what are those bits made of?

Бред!!! Это не русский маникюр!!! Так русский маникюр не делают!
Sorry to tell you but Russian manicure can properly do only Russian professionals, the rest is only imitation
oh, spicy! 😛
Что белоруссы или украинцы не могут делать такой маникюр? Слез со своей кобылы на землю
This is NOT a Russian manicure. You butchered it 😂😂😂😂
you're supposed to have cuticle. people with no cuticles have nasty inflamed fingers🤢
If done correctly it's not supposed to hurt. ☺nipping away dead cuticle tissue must be something to be considered depending on your state.
