I can't understand why it's a problem for people if the stores close earlier. You must remember we have workers who have to fund their way home after work. Also it's good because family time is more important than convenience.
It’s a problem for Americans bc it’s not what we’re used to. We’re used to stores closing at 10 pm or later or being open 24/7…so we don’t have to worry about what time we get off work to grocery shop…in America, most jobs don’t care about your work/life balance… they care about their bottom line $$$
I know several grocery shops that closes at 10h00 pm and there is one Super Spar in Joburg CBD that opens 24/7 , I used to shop there at 04h50 in the morning going to work.
I feel the reason countries like Ghana make citizenship easier than SA is the fact that the Diaspora traces back to the countries in most of the Western parts of Africa but South Africa should explore this as it will benefit as an economic solution.

I disagree, Black Americans have a culture. The problem is it is deeply ingrained in the overall American culture so it feels like we dont at times. We creates genres of music without the aid of African drums (like Jazz, Blues, etc.). Also, our culture has Native American influence, hence cornbread and grits being included in Black American cuisine (i.e. Soul Food). We have our own language (known as Tut/Tutnese). Even activities like Double Dutch among the young girls are unique staples in our community that you dont see anywhere else.

I love this! love what you are doing. South Africa is a hidden Gem and she is abundant in the kind of Wealth that goes unrecognised.
thank you for making SA home
I was shocked to hear that our portion size is small, I mean I go to Spur and I come out I'm so full I can't even walk. 🤭🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Me and my family will be visiting South Africa 🇸🇨this November we plan to relocate in 2-3 years!
You more than welcome, South Africa has its problems but a beautiful country
Did you come ? How did you find it?
Could not agree with you more in regards to softening protocols in order for African-Americans coming over to South Africa and creating opportunity for more South Africans.
It seems that African-Americans have a wide scope of awareness of how the world works in regards to Capitalism and using this in a positive way to help each other. It is amazing too see how the different perceptions and cultures meet and in that wanting to create a better world for everybody. Love the positivity that you both show and the vision for this beautiful land x
I currently live here in Orlando, FL, and I'm planning to come and visit SA, maybe relocate. Btw, great video!
If you need any assistance when you come visit SA, don't hesitate to contact us.
The reason why we don't have an African culture is because our African culture was stripped from during slavery. But Black Americans do a culture.
Need to see more of you guys
I can't understand why it's a problem for people if the stores close earlier. You must remember we have workers who have to fund their way home after work. Also it's good because family time is more important than convenience.
It’s a problem for Americans bc it’s not what we’re used to. We’re used to stores closing at 10 pm or later or being open 24/7…so we don’t have to worry about what time we get off work to grocery shop…in America, most jobs don’t care about your work/life balance… they care about their bottom line $$$
@@jewelllove1 Idk it depends some of ours close at 8 pm or 9 pm.
I know several grocery shops that closes at 10h00 pm and there is one Super Spar in Joburg CBD that opens 24/7 , I used to shop there at 04h50 in the morning going to work.
I love this beautiful black couple. Great video!
Very good video!
I feel the reason countries like Ghana make citizenship easier than SA is the fact that the Diaspora traces back to the countries in most of the Western parts of Africa but South Africa should explore this as it will benefit as an economic solution.
We don't wear traditional clothes every day as youth because we see them as old-fashioned and not practical for 21 century life (some are a little too modest, restrictive or revealing). Additionally young South Africans are fashion forward and like keeping up with the trends so traditional clothes can be a bit limiting (not enough variety and doesn't allow self-expression) in that regard. Not to mention cultural gear can be mad expensive.
You do know that the wife is a south African right
@@briannebutaro6391 Yes but she's coloured so she had a different upbringing than me
Yeah, until the Guccis and Luis V's of this world copy that traditional garb, bring it back to sell it to dumb bells, right?!!! That's fashion forward for these so-called millenials!!!🤦🏾♂️
@@pelomk9022 respectfully pls elaborates you mean different upbringing as in she group up in America or growing up as a coloured person in general.?
@@bantuboxingworld607 If you want to walk around bare chested wearing animal skins all day every day, be my guest. I hope you know the printed/colorful wax cloth we use for our so called traditional wear isn't even originally African.
I can't help but think this is Sexy seeing our people happy, healthy, wealthy, living there best life yessss Let's Go Gods!! Lets Go Home!!
Mzungus? LOL. I subscribed because of that word usage alone.
We appreciate the support brother
I love this! As a South African who sadly no longer lives in S.A, I love hearing how people from other countries feel and experience all S.A. has to offer!
Question why did you leave South African? What were the reasons or causes
But, what are the wages and other costs of living?
I am your new fan, love the video. Looking more of this
Beauty conversation it's difficult to wear our traditional clothes every day they are so expensive... We only wear them for special occasions
It makes sense. And you have to preserve it since it’s so expensive! But it’s the most beautiful thing! Being in African attire
I love South Africa.. I visited there in 2019 for 3 weeks. I visited joburg, Durban and Cape Town. I'm trying to figure out how to stay longer next time I come
I saw you guys at maboneng we should link up
That picture behind you is off the chain 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 elephant right? I love it?
Try buying from wholesalers like macro or Nortcity or TFG. Depending where you are in S.A you will find a wholesaler that's sells bulk products that may end up being cheaper. woolies or Pick ń pay sells smaller grocery items.
American food portions are bigger because they are mostly genetically modified. Yes, South African food is organic. Filling stations have small supermarkets that open 24×7 attached to them though.
SA has rural, urban and wild sites... have you seen them all?
That's so true ...A lot of black south Africans don't have money to start their own companies... therefore it makes me really happy when I see African Americans(or black people from anywhere in the world) starting their own businesses here... it makes a lot of difference❤❤ and it also empowers us
This is beautiful Naledi, sadly there are many South Africans who hate other Africans with a passion. I wish they could see things from your perspective.
I also think in order to pay it forward black Americans should hire native south africans.
YOOOOOO ..GOD BLESS!.. I have been looking for brothers and sisters who have moved from America to South Africa so that I can hook up and get information about building my home for my wife and daughter. We got to get out of the United States, straight up!! I can't wait to be amongst my people..💪🏿✊🏿😍
Good idea brother , please do come to your mother land
South Africans make their own brands, we do have brand's from many other places but we dress for comfort. You'll find people incorporating their traditional attire with western attire.
Great content. Thank you for show casing our country. Subscribed
Welcome to our beautiful home fam. There are places that sell bulk groceries. Try Makro and there are a few other bulk food places.
I just love it when our people from diaspora come home and feel at home, we love you a lot
Love that you say "WE have".
Thanks for focusing on Americas investing in South Africa. love your show
Shopping tip for saving money in South Africa. Locate a wholesale store for groceries. You will save tons of money.
Hello where are you guys ?
I love mostly the opportunities part. I think if we could all work together we could make this place a safe haven for Black People from all over the world by making the poor productive as oppose to charitable acts which result to dependency syndrome. Appreciate the effort you guys took to make this possible and I hope that it helps those in despair to see their country from an outsiders perspective.
But we have bulk stores like Makro, Food lovers ect to bulk buy.
We’ll definitely be checking those out! My wife’s been telling me about Makro! I think it’s time to pay it a visit
Thanks for mentioning that Kabelo, I have kids so I buy in bulk a lot. Makro, Kit Kat etc are my go to shops for some pantry groceries.
@@thefavouredofgod8013 we will definitely check Makro out. We haven’t heard of Kit Kat tho
@@makeafricagreatagain04 Great fam. I'm based in Pretoria so I'm not quite sure about their other branches in Jozi and their proximity to you guys. Bulk buying is awesome!
@@makeafricagreatagain04 yeah check out Makro, there's one in Strubens Valley which is closer to you guys. Others like Kit Kat, Boxer, Cambridge are also good but I doubt there's ones nearby unless if you don't mind driving to the hood which will be great btw.
You can get your snacks or basics at your local garage(filling station). Bread, chips, fizzy drink, etc.
Also McDonald's and KFC are 24/7
I love the fact that you refer to yourself as South African. Welcome home🇿🇦
Amazing video multi-culture is so missed these days and is key. Just made a USA vs South Africa Video Yesterday. Let me know how to improve.
We love you two guys so much. We will definitely push our government for that Visa and citizenship for black Americans into South Africa. It truly needs to happen
Wha nonsense is this, skilled people dont need special dispensation, they can create own jobs. Black Americans must not come to SA to take Safricans jobs, we welcome those who have skills and are self sufficient, we have unemployment problem as it is. Why should we give special treatment to them as opposed to Zimbabwens, just because they Americans, rubbish!
@@Mongusta You must be a Zimbabwean
@@mongikazip if that makes you sleep well at nite, what a stupid comment!
@@mongikazip I agree
Want to check it out. What's a decent resonable hotel no bugs, hassles or American citizen hustling?
We were blessed to have family who assisted in our relocation. Airbnb has nice decent places but you have to know which areas to choose of course, that’s the least hassles plus there are hotels too perhaps drop us an email!
We do have some 24/7 grocery stores like some Spars operate that way. But because of covid I don't think they still do so
Shoprite in Sunnyside, Pretoria🇿🇦 is a grocery store that closes at Midnight
I love her accent watching from Miami Florida
To see that him sit there and let her say we as African Americans, Black Americans, whatever have no culture and he not really respond to that is unbelievable. It's false, hurtful, and wrong. This is why I say Black Americans are on their own in this world and I hope she reads this comment. Because she knows nothing about us to make a statement like that. Also to hear the excuse that our culture is Westernized is a cop out. Not trying to hear that.
I'm South African if we open the borders for you we must also open for the rest of Africa for citizenship, there should be a threshold of 1million in your South African bank account
How do you all plan your moves out? Like finding a good neighborhood ?
Neighborhood, get in touch with someone for info
Go to makro or wholesalers and you can get bulk
Where in SA do u reside/did you visit? If you don’t mind me asking
Exactly Brother, Ghana, The Gambia and Rwanda is doing majour outreach to us AA to come setup businesses and opportunities for the locals. Rwanda and Ethiopian is showing me mad love to set up shop. Love SA though. Love ya'll!!
You guys love RSA🇿🇦😂💪🔥 Finish 'n Klaar ...Dope..!
Y’all are inspirational!
Thank you for that 🙏!! Please help support the movement in any way you can.
Love it! 🇿🇦
Truth
Shame man, I felt your pain in the sour cream 😂. Here we make our own sour cream. 1 litre of plain double cream yogurt and squeeze some fresh lemon into it and mix. You welcome 😊😂 I hope that con is now eliminated 🤣✨
To say African Americans don't ave culture is a tragic misnomer. Global culture is African American at present. Their music is the richest and best. They set the pace globally too. Culture isn't just traditional. Get that straight. Speaking as a South African.
Ubr catching feelings u have culture but ia not african like culture but if u have tell me what your culture is? U have much isn't as much
In South Africa our clothings are reserved for special occasions like weddings because they are very expensive
I was hoping to hear something about medical costs.
New subscriber , blessings to you. Beautiful family!
Welcome Welcome Family!!!
@@makeafricagreatagain04 Are you still in Southafrica
Hell No!!! we r not wearing African clothes every day, we r just as civilised as the rest of the world. That's a stereotype
U make it sound like African clothing is uncivilized to wear.
That’s hard self hate because civilize means European clothing but one thing I realize with African people is that y’all are more colonized than Caribbean people
Very nice🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💞🤘🇿🇦it's lit🔥🔥
Quality over quantity. And they seem to be more family-friendly. American diversity and culture is concentrated in large cities.

Good to c u again n your wife looks soo gud
I would really love for African American celebrities to invest in Africa, your Snoop Dog's, Dre Dre's your Erikha Badu's, I wish for them to invest in different industries other than music. ☺
@burning spear The only problem with that phrase is the word Let, we don't need approval from them and surely they won't give it ☺ natives need to just implement it themselves without any approval from them, so the word let is only acceptable if it is directed to The Creator Of All that can be seen, heard, touched, smelled, felt, visioned, dreamed and discovered that him being the one giving us permission.
Naw ! We are focused on black Americans! We invest in ourselves!! Not non black Americans Territory
Steve Harvey already has Family Feud in South Africa and Ghana also Netflix is in South Africa not sure which other African countries. Not that Netflix is African American owned but you know what I mean.
if u wanna buy in bulk, they u might wanna do your groceries at makro
SA should develop their own businesses and stop allowing Chinese, Europeans and others to strip them of their resources and create their own wealth.
