I love how gentle you come across... you seem so understanding and thoughtful of everyone’s situations. I’m sure you make a lot of women feel so safe and sure about motherhood ❤️
Recently finding out I am pregnant and watching videos, I have been horrified on the cost of products people are recommending to new moms. This video genuinely helps me and I am so grateful for your budget friendly approach.
I just came across your channel! I’m 6 months pregnant, first baby and I’m going crazy trying to see what to buy! Your videos have been SOOO helpful!!!! Thank you!!!
Love Luvs diapers! They feel thinner, but absorbed just as well for us. We use a combination of cloth diapers and disposables (disposable overnight and while being out of the house for long periods of time, and cloth all other times). A bit of advice for anyone interested in cloth but still on the fence, it doesn't have to be all or nothing. You can use cloth some of the time and disposables at other times, and you'll still save tons of money.
I really enjoyed this one. I’m personally out of the baby years as my youngest is 10 but my oldest and his fiancé are trying to get pregnant and my niece is 5 months pregnant. I enjoy seeing what items are more “affordable” but still trusted by moms.
My Evenflo stroller has been great! Going on 2 years now & with a new baby on the way I’m SOOO glad I got the double stroller option! And it didn’t break the bank, under $400 🙌🏼
I have to plug cloth diapers for those who may be interested. Everyone should do whatever they want! But cloth is WAY easier than you think. You can even use disposable liners to make it even easier. And it's so freaking cute!!! Prints could be a money suck, I'm too poor but have benefitted from brand new hand me downs from those who arent! Cost wise, I cloth diaper and I used Christmas money to splurge on adding to our stash when I needed to, was given a ton both as gifts and second hand. So I paid nearly nothing to diaper my daughter from birth to potty training. It was so easy, especially with a diaper sprayer (they are about 40 bucks but my friend gifted it to me) and never having blowouts. It's so much easier than you think, especially if you stay away from microfiber. Used 24 (36 would be more comfortable) xsmall and 8 newborn covers. I liked the nickis Newborn best, but lots of people like thirsties and rumparoos too. I will say she didn't size out of nickis newborn until 7 months old... Flip covers are good, easy to trifold prefolds or flats into. I think they make actual cotton inserts for the flip system, but good flats or prefolds from nickisdiapers.com or green mountain diapers or osocozy are great. Stay away from gerber its garbage for actual diapering. Went to Grovia ONEs for daytime at about 1yr. Soooooo easy to clean and only thing that worked with my heavy wetter, she could outpee disposables.😬 Anyway a lot of people love their hybrid system and use the ONEs for overnight diapering. I only had 14 for daytime use and while they are pretty worn, they held up awesome to the hard constant use. And they have a bundler discount. :) The one thing I did shell out for were two big gun fitted diapers for overnight called Twinkie Tush Night Night. They are expensive, but they worked where disposables failed and are still in decent shape.... so way cheaper than disposable in the long run. I got them when she was about a year old and they are still in decent shape after she potty trained last fall just after her 3rd birthday. For a cover I used a wool cover my friend gave me, but you can get a disana wool cover for overnight for $30. Also TONS of good buy sell trade out there for woolies. You could even make one out of a thrifted sweater. ;) Want to try best bottoms this time. Her swim diaper is that brand and its great. My daughter hated all swaddles I'm glad I only got four. Would like to try love to dream this time though. Never used any pacis or bottles. I was given a bunch from friends who had kids before me. I passed them on to someone else. Clothes... that is one thing I say buy decent quality and capsule style. I had a dresser full of hand me down clothes but i used like six onesies i actually liked. I do like picking her stuff out and having something that doesn't immediately fall to pieces, like Carter's or Cat & Jack has proven well worth it. I regret being cheap and not picking out her clothes. 8-10 weather appropriate one piece outfits in each size is plenty generous. Well maybe not with a super spitter, kinda lucked out there too. Plan to grab some of those green sprouts burp cloths this time in case I'm not so lucky this time. Edited to add, I got a cloud Island crib sheet because it was cheap and a pack of the same brand sleepers because I liked the print. Super unimpressed, both got holes almost immediately. New items should not do that after two washes. Probiotics are must have! B. Infantis and l. Reuteri are the two most important strains to look for. Also get yourself some too! I like Jarrow and the garden of life womens one.
Omg yes to everything you said. I'm 24 weeks pregnant with baby number 4 and have found so many amazing deals that are new/like new second hand. I got an Ergo carrier for $5.99 and really cute clothes from Zara under $2 at the thrift store. I got Swaddle Me blankets for $1.50 and Aiden + Anais swaddle blankets for $0.99. Bought a Fawn Design diaper bag from a friend for $30. Also some things that I bought that you mentioned were the Halo bassinet, angelcare bath seat. I wanted the Maxi Cosi travel system in the cream color that you mentioned but it had mixed reviews so I went with Britax.
I have the graco swing you mentioned. I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant but we have it set up and it was super easy and it’s lightweight and collapses super flat! Very excited to use it!!
Another diaper tip, if buying from Target, Target pretty much always has $15 off $75 or $20 off $100 baby toiletry items (includes diapers and wipes) which is a great way to save more money (you can also buy one box in their current size and one in the next size up if you're worried about buying too many in one size, or you can buy all in their current size and exchange if they outgrow by the time you get to the 2nd box). They also frequently have diaper coupons on their Circle app, or you can use printable coupons from online, and they let you use the coupons in addition to the $15 off $75 or $20 off $100. And if you have a Target RedCard you get 5% off as well (and it's 5% off in addition to all of those other savings).
I bought the Boppy Comfyfit on an Amazon Warehouse/open box deal for 35.00 after you had recommended it. If you search Amazon Warehouse you can find a lot of open box deals under the baby section. They even have the Infant Optix camera for a great deal too. Also if you live in a bigger city there is a consignment sale called Just Between Friends that happens a few times a year. I always stock up on diapers during those sales, because they are about half price for the giant boxes. If you are an expectant mom or grandparent you can get an early shopping pass for the JBF sale. I really love the Cloud Island zipper sleepers from Target, they always have sales on baby clothing too. Love your videos ❤️💕
I love my maxi cosi zelia and car seat. They are so durable and work amazingly. I love the easy ability to switch between bassinet and seat mode. The shopping basket is also huge and when you have the car seat on the pram you have heaps of space underneath. It also folds down pretty small so it fits really easily in the back of the car
If you have a Burlington in your area it’s even better then Marshall and Home Goods. They even have the bigger stuff like cribs, strollers, high chairs. I would highly recommend Facebook market or OfferUp too. Best place for diapers I found is Amazon when putting them on subscribe and save. You can save an additional 20% on diapers and wipes. Huggies for me right now size 1 is 15 cent a diaper. Size 5 pampers 360 20cents. And it’s no brainer too because it comes right door every month. No running out of diapers
This video is wonderful! As a grandma of 4 and I just found out tonight we will be having a fifth later this summer, I need to find good products at an even better price! I raised 4 kids and I used Luvs diapers way back when (like my youngest daughters will be 36 this year) and I loved them. I never liked Pampers and Huggies were good, but the Luv's were so well priced even back then and they worked so well. So much has changed since I had my children so I will be following your videos like a new Mom! Thank you so much for all the research you have done. It really helps so much to hear from a young Mom as to what products are in now!
Hey girl! Love your videos! You stand out amongst the rest as one who really knows what they’re talking about. Can you do a video on developmental milestones (e.g., the best resources for educating oneself etc.)? I don’t even want to Google it because I know I’ll get slammed with a plethora of resources 😅
For baby clothes and baby gear ABSOLUTELY shop consignment. Babies grow so fast, not to mention that parent often have bags and bags of things to donate. Many times, the baby clothes in consignment shops have only been worn 1, maybe even 3 times (MAX). I've even seen brand new with original tags still on them clothes. Consignment shopping gets a little harder once kids grow become more mobile and start getting rough on their clothes... even then, my daughter is 7 and I can spend $50 in there and get her an entire wardrobe for the season.
Thank you for doing all this research! This is so helpful as I'm expecting my first. 11w5d so WAY too early to start my registry, but my hubby and I are too excited ☺️
I started mine before I even got a positive pregnancy test! I think it’s never too early, and it was a life safer once it was time to actually get serious about the registry. Plus it was so easy to remove stuff and replace it with other things after doing research. I say go for it if you’re excited, and really want to start it! 😊
I'm currently 26 weeks and already started buying stuff...I felt it was too early but then I taught I rather get things slowly and not get over stress..rather than wait till last minute rushing and buying baby stuff
I agree with these ladies, I'm 16 weeks and have a private registry. Its also easier so you don't forget everything everyone is recommending once it's time.
You’ve been a great help, I’m thankful I found your channel, my husband and I learned our lesson when it comes to baby’s needs and stuff, and now we’re expecting our 2nd child that’s due on October, so we’re doing a lot of research too! Anyways, keep it up! Praying for your safe delivery!♥️🙏🏼
So excited that I actually had a few of the things u talked about and will definitely be adding a few more items now. The probiotics and vitamin D thing was amazing to learn about!!!! I will definitely be getting that.
If y’all have a Burlington in your area they have a lot of baby things! I got my ubbi for $20 ! It’s like a tj Maxx marshalls but I think more inexpensive 🤗💕
i know this is old, but just thought i could point out that they often have the disney baby stuff at the 99c store. pacis, bottles, onesies, and blankets.
Some companies sell variety packs, go with those. Keep packaging, tags, and whatnot for things so you can try and return them. Second hand expensive purchases are also a great idea. MOST SLEEPERS/LOUNGERS ARE NOT SAFE FOR A BABY TO SLEEP IN. Last and most important, longevity rules over looks and often price. Whether you want multiple kids or not, longevity is the place to look. If it's expensive and you don't need it for long, good quality products can be resold for great prices. The Stroller Workshop is a channel that is completely unbiased and tells you what strollers are the best, and isn't sponsored by any companies. I highly recommend taking a look at some of the videos when purchasing a stroller/pram.
I def wish I would of known in my nesting stage the following...I ended up getting after he was born....more footy pjs, boppy lounger chair, brest friend feeding pillow and stool. brest friend pillow is amazing for snuggles on mom too
If you are planning to have your baby sleep in a pack n play instead of a crib, Amazon sells pack n play mattresses and bed sheets so that your little one can sleep comfortably.
A very affordable car seat/stroller combo is the baby trend jogger 👌🏽 they’re around $150 & they’re so good. I have that Maxi Cosi Zelia for my son but I bought the baby trend jogger stroller separate bc it’s so good!!
I used luvs on my babies, I love them. I found that huggies changed there diapers and they didn’t work as well as they use to. But if I had the money, I’d do pampers. & The huggies natural care would rip on me 😩 when I’d grab them out of the pack, but the pampers pure wipes are good too. 💕
Also I like our evenflo high chair a lot, it's the one that turns into a table and chair. I got rid of the cushion so it's just the plastic and it's been awesome. She still gets up there to paint. Was very unimpressed with the evenflo carseat. I actually threw it away carefully and dismantled instead of keeping it. It started not clicking in right when she was like 8 or 9 months old... so I just switched to the convertible britax we got off our registry. Anyway weird. We got a really high quality solid wood crib and dresser/changer for free froma former coworker of my husbands. It's not what I would pick, but its sturdy enough I can lay down with her with it as a toddler daybed. So I guess I'll take it. It's worth talking to people you know. Never know what gems are out there. I did register for a wrapsody wrap that was expensive and got it. Its wonderful for hot weather. We also bought a toddler kinderpack wrap conversion laster on, on sale to be fair but not cheap. It's awesome, I still use it at 3.5yrs old. But to be fair I live where it's way too rough to consider using a stroller and she always wanted to be worn in town too.😄😊♥️
Great video! I’d like to add that a good place to shop for baby clothes is the Family dollar or dollar general. I’m not one for dollar stores but my grandma is and actually put me on to the affordability, when she showed up at my house with a bag of clothes...especially when things are on sale!
Also, if you buy in bulk from Costco, you might end up having leftover diapers in a size that is too small for your baby. For example if you get hundreds of newborn diapers then baby only uses them for a few weeks then needs the next size up!
I second Homegoods for baby items. I got a Chicco Primo lullago Bassinet recently for $69 when the original retail price was $189 on Amazon. They had a lot of other baby gear and they labeled it as Amazon overflow or returned. I also have found Carters to have great sales on baby clothes. Their winter sale had five pack of bodysuits buy one get one free. They also have sleepers for as low as $6-$8 in price. So pay attention to their sales. Target also has inexpensive prices on baby clothes and items. As far as car seats and strollers I know a lot of people who have been happy with Graco. They have something for every budget. We are fans of Britax. I know Target and Walmart offer an exclusive Britax Convertible line that is budget friendly as well.
I bought my daughter the Cybex cloud q infant seat and the stroller! I found it to be and have so many more safety features than upper baby so I don’t understand why the upper baby is so popular. The cloud Q had way more safety features. It is however a very pricey seating system but it wasn’t much more than the upper baby
Thank you for talking about ACTUAL AFFORDABLE products! Lol I know "affordable" carries a different meaning for everyone, but everything you mentioned is literally what we average income people buy, lol. I have yet to buy a single body suit for more than $4 (CDN) or a sleeper for more than $8. I just refuse. And a bassinet for over $1000? Hahahahahahahahhaa, ya, NO. Even if I had the $, why does a bassinet need to be that much money? These companies that try to suck us in, urgh! Your video was so refreshing and just what I needed. I already have some of the products you mentioned too. 😊
The bath seat since it is like dishwasher and bleach safe you can buy these at the resale shops for literally $5 they have stacks of these and yes they are awesome easy to keep clean very sanitary
Mobby wrap is only 45 and if your from Michigan there are store called Meijer (only say that because my cousin from PA had no idea what Meijer was) and they offer great coupons! They have one for 10 dollars off the mobby all the time!
Luvs, in my experience work amazing and are my second favorite. I only go with pampers cause they are a little softer, and unfortunately my kids are allergic to huggies and pull-up brands
Everyone has different experiences. Huggies leaked for my 1st two so this time around, I have stuck with Pampers and parents choice. I have seen great reviews for Hello Bello so I am going to try those.
If you get the diaper discount on Amazon (20% off diapers baby's first year after spending $500 on registry), Luvs are even cheaper. Less than $30 for one HUGE bulk box (200ct size 3). They aren't my favorite diaper whatsoever but if the budget is really tight, they're better than parents choice so... I try to find diaper sales on Amazon to combine with the discount in order to get pretty reduced mid range diapers. Still can't stomach coughing up the money for those expensive af huggies special delivery diapers. After 3 babies I've tried so many diapers and usually you get what you pay for but only you can decide if the extra expense is necessary after you try a few different varieties and price points.
When you talk about Costco prices for diapers, are you referring to the Kirkland brand or the name brand? I'm pretty certain you are talking about the name brand... the Kirkland diapers are just as good and a lot cheaper. Especially when they go on sale. Not to mention if you have a Costco credit card you get 2% back on these purchases on top of the sale.
$499 is what you consider an affordable travel system 😬 The Graco and Evenflo carseats and strollers are just fine and half the price. The percentage of people who use them properly and have bad experiences are small
I have 4 kids and luvs diapers were the best. I tried every brand except for cloth and luvs were less expensive and worked the best. I loved my graco bassinet. I never used evenflo or cosco brands of car seats. I used graco and britax car seats. With my infant seat I used graco with the stroller that came with it. The forward facing britax car seat didn’t allow you to remove the seat cover to wash it and I didn’t like that at all. I used baby trend strollers for when I went running and I had a single one then a double one. They were perfect. I went through several strollers once I was past using the infant seat. I had two high end ones and my husband broke two of them because he would force them closed or open and you can’t do that. My last kid was a surprise and I had to buy new stuff. I still had my bassinet and some of the toys and clothes. I got another peg perego high chair because you can use them for a long time. I loved onesies that came in different patterns and you could buy a pack of little pants that were solid colors. You could mix and match the outfits. Swaddle blankets were godsends same with towels with the little hood. Bumbo baby seats are awesome and a must have. Shoes, hats and headbands are a waste of money. Simple newborn bathtubs are perfect. They sell sponges for the infant bathtub that you can lay the baby on while you bath them. They are an inexpensive must have. Summer had infant comfy bath sponge and they run about $12. You can lay the baby on the sponge and use both hands to bath the baby. Don’t try to keep up with the jones’ when it comes to baby gear. You will find what works for you.
Please note that the Maxi Cosi travel system does NOT have good reviews. I was set on this system and completely changed my mind bc moms have consistently shared the wheels are awful. I went with the Chicco and I’m so glad I did!
Parent’s choice brand it’s even cheaper for diapers from Walmart and they work. I had a baby with eczema and thought 💭 I couldn’t use a cheap brand, I asked my baby’s pediatrician and she said it’s not problem to use those the diaper rash cream it’s the one I have to change and detergent, softener and all of that
Love this vid. I find the tub was not comfy or warm for our little one we switched to the counter tub and he doesn't cry now. Also hard for parents to bend down with that one
Use a slightly warm washcloth and lay it on them during bath time. It keeps them warm and happy! The counter ones you fill up will only last so long. This one you can use until they start sitting up on their own. Also you can place it in a tub so they can start getting familiar with the bathtub 💕
I'm curious, for those of us whose family don't live close enough for us to pick things up so they have to ship them is it still better for them to find things on sale and then ship it because I know sometimes shipping can be pretty expensive
Luvs are by far my favorite diaper. I’ve tried all of them and they all leaked for me. My son is chunky so they just fit the best for us. Hello bello was my least favorite, they run so small.
My daughter is 18 months I have used a lot of different diapers that where given to us and luvs is always the diapers I go back to Ik some baby’s luvs break them out but I’m glad mine didn’t
@@nailsbyandreamua yea i have it i just never was able to figure out the discount i cant even figure out for the credit for the specific work shoes lol i feel dumb
The time you spent to research these things and make this video does not go unnoticed, thank you 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Yessssss
I love how gentle you come across... you seem so understanding and thoughtful of everyone’s situations. I’m sure you make a lot of women feel so safe and sure about motherhood ❤️
Burlington Coat Factory and Once upon a child were lifesavers when I had my boys 17months apart....
Yes! Just yesterday got a swing that is $80 everywhere else for $35!
For footies, I love the target ones! They’re $13 for a 3-pack and they’re zippers 👏🏼
Recently finding out I am pregnant and watching videos, I have been horrified on the cost of products people are recommending to new moms. This video genuinely helps me and I am so grateful for your budget friendly approach.
Same here, all the videos that I watched they recommend the most expensive brands for everything. This one had been the mosy helpful so far.
Very underrated but super useful video .. thanks a ton! i found this more comprehensive than some of the ones out there

I had no idea about the Amazon family thing. Thank you for all the great tips!!
First time mom here, thank you for this. Such a good place to start 💕
I wish I took your recommendations when I was pregnant with my 2 babies... But I was in a tight budget but I love to see what's out there
i know this is old, but just thought i could point out that they often have the disney baby stuff at the 99c store. pacis, bottles, onesies, and blankets.
Super super helpful! I am switching a few things on my registry based on this video! There are so many affordable options! Thank you ❤️
Some companies sell variety packs, go with those.
I love all of these videos! What is your favorite toddler snack puch/container?
I got 312 size 3 luvs at Sam's club for 38.99. I got them for my niece. Prayer and best wishes for a safe and happy delivery for baby girl. ❤❤❤❤
You did a super job. Thank you for all you work. Very helpful
Is your Maxi Cosi Zelda good? Do you have any issues like wheels getting stuck?
But to be fair I live where it's way too rough to consider using a stroller and she always wanted to be worn in town too.😄😊♥️
I have the graco play yard on my registry because I seen another mom TH-camr say you can get a mattress insert and use that instead of a crib!
So helpful, i love that you have a very practical point of view, thank you lots of love💕
Appreciate this video so much! I’ll be referring back to this often thank you!
Thanks so much for this video! This is very helpful 👍🏻
I also suggest ross! Ross has so many cute baby outfits!!
I agree with this!!!
Girl this is incredible
Good morning queen 👸🏻💞😘happy Saturday so exciting to meet baby girl #2🤗love ya wish you the best
Burlington coat factory is a good place go get a lot of baby items
Mobby wrap is only 45 and if your from Michigan there are store called Meijer (only say that because my cousin from PA had no idea what Meijer was) and they offer great coupons! They have one for 10 dollars off the mobby all the time!
Luvs, in my experience work amazing and are my second favorite. I only go with pampers cause they are a little softer, and unfortunately my kids are allergic to huggies and pull-up brands
Maxi cosi system is $299 at sams club. Or at least that's how much we paid.
I had to use pampers in the beginning and then I would use luvs, very good, Huggies for me with 3 boys always leaked threw
I did a lot of shopping for bany clothes amongst other baby things at Ross and TJ Maxx and they also have really good affordable prices.
We tried every diaper for my son, from luxury brands to store brands and the only one that worked for my son was Luvs
I personally used luvs and disliked them. I still use Huggies and has been the best for our 3 year old.
Yea up and up night time diapers are better even the regular up and up and parents choice
Everyone has different experiences. Huggies leaked for my 1st two so this time around, I have stuck with Pampers and parents choice. I have seen great reviews for Hello Bello so I am going to try those.
Yes yes yes!!! Definitely added some things to my Amazon cart 🥰
Thank you for the video! Can't figure out how to access Amazon Family. Help!
Hello Madison! Happy Saturday!!! Phenomenal video thank you so much! :)
What is the baby diaper website you mentioned in the video?
$499 is what you consider an affordable travel system 😬 The Graco and Evenflo carseats and strollers are just fine and half the price. The percentage of people who use them properly and have bad experiences are small
Facebook groups!!!! Yes!!!!!!!
Hello, can you please tell me the link or webpage where I can find the cheapest diaper? 🙏🏽
This was so helpful, thank you!!
I had a baby with eczema and thought 💭 I couldn’t use a cheap brand, I asked my baby’s pediatrician and she said it’s not problem to use those the diaper rash cream it’s the one I have to change and detergent, softener and all of that
Love your each & every videos 😍😍😍😍😍
Love this vid. I find the tub was not comfy or warm for our little one we switched to the counter tub and he doesn't cry now. Also hard for parents to bend down with that one
Use a slightly warm washcloth and lay it on them during bath time. It keeps them warm and happy! The counter ones you fill up will only last so long. This one you can use until they start sitting up on their own. Also you can place it in a tub so they can start getting familiar with the bathtub 💕
@@THEMILLERS Thank you! I'm glad I still kept both. :)
These are awesome but honestly I hated the luvs diapers lol I love Huggies and pampers as well
This video is so helpful!!
I really want to get the maxi Cosi in nomad sand sadly they discontinued that color and I can’t find it anywhere !!!!! I wish I could
Omg I didn’t know about the Amazon family !
I have the angel care bath and i hate it i used it with my youngest i bought the flower pad thingy for this baby hopefully i like it
Good morning beautiful lady yay ☕️ and watching ❣️❣️❣️
Using Ibotta and other rebate apps helps with diapers, wipes, and some other things!
My daughter is 18 months I have used a lot of different diapers that where given to us and luvs is always the diapers I go back to Ik some baby’s luvs break them out but I’m glad mine didn’t
We are on a budget but, my bf refuses to buy anything second hand 🤦♀️... I don't care as long as its clean and works
What do you guys call onesies? Is it different in different places? Never heard bodysuits
Primark has a good price in baby clothes.. even cheaper!
Gerber is the cheapest ( even when my 14year old was a baby), but their sizing is smaller as a heads up
To see the price increase in just 2 years is insane.
Aquaphor went up like 10$ 😳
Omg yes it’s insane!
I love you so much. You are the person who inspired me to start collecting lipsticks 💄. You love awesome 💕💕
Can the baby sleep on the pack & play bassinet?
Carters is considered "name brand" around here lol I forget that California is a whole different world lol 😆
I work at amazon warehouse and didnt know shit about amazon family i dont even know how to use my discount 😂😂😂😂
Do you have the A to Z app? You can set up your employee discount there
