  • Another episode and another P1800 to restore! This time the team have a big task ahead as this P1800 requires a huge amount of work!
Removing all the exterior panels we discover some hidden rust but luckily - a totally originally car we are able to salvage a lot of the inner panels.
Once blasted we epoxy prime and start to tackle to metal repairs - all new exterior panels, including all 3 sill sextons and countless inner panel repairs. See the work involved to align and gap even brand new exterior panels - no easy task!
We then take you through the body profiling and levelling stage to enhance all fitment and clarity of the cars shape.
Finalising with spray filler primer - in the next episode we cover final prep, underside paint and final paint and flat and polishing - this is going to be one of the best examples of a P1800!
You also get to meet the newest DPM team member - Isla!

Greetings! great video. In this video you show the Red p1800, what type of wheels are on this car. I am doing a 65 and would like to find these wheels in the US Thanks!

A great video of the masters at work, having done it myself I appreciate the skills involved, well done. One criticism though, the filming is rather amateurish, too much flashing from one image to the next, it was very difficult to follow, and annoying, you should have focused longer on each shot.

Volvo P1800 S made in Sweden ! The first P1800 should never have been build in Britain !!!
