Probably my worst work to date, I felt I had to get something out for the holidays though. Between work, finishing exams and the looming family get together of the season I am shocked I got this done. Edited this while in transit. Expect something better very soon.
I personally like this as there’s not much videos talking about the Hallmark line. I recently got the GG1 for my birthday in may and put it on the tree today. I might try to find more as they’re not too pricey and will add character to my future Christmas trees. Happy Holidays!
Before one of my grandpas died bro had every single one up till 2010 and he gave them all to me when I was born (2009) and every year till 2020 he gave me every new addition like actually every single one even all the mini one and the special addition ones then he died and my other grandpa started giving me the new additions every year so I really am thankful for it (rip grandpa Tom fly high 🕊️)
I absolutely love these things. My grandma bought me the M-10000 set in 2010, (which is absolutely gorgeous btw, the only one I consistently leave coupled on the tree) and the collection has only grown from there. I’ve collected every major release since then as well as a few of the miniatures and the limited editions. When I was younger, these things spent more time off the tree being played with than on the tree. Whoever’s idea it was to give these things rolling wheels deserves a raise. Absolutely incredible line of ornaments and I hope to God they don’t stop anytime soon.
I’ve been collecting these Hallmark ornaments ever since I discovered their existence in 2020. I’m glad the “N scale” three sets are released so early, making them so easy to collect. Unfortunately, the late release of all the other ornaments make them much harder to get. Often times I’ll visit my local Hallmark store to look for them, only to find they’re the only ornament to have already sold out.
Gotta pick up the standard gauge pieces if you can! The Blue Comet + Hiawatha sets slapped, car roofs opened (with some work) just like the originals. LTI era Daylight + heavyweights is also a fun set. This has thankfully been the "easy" Christmas gift over the years, so I've recieved the engines since I was a kid.
@ nice, I do wish they’d do anther one. Something about mini trains running circuits on an ornament tickles my fancy. It’s like how I’m in love with the Lionel train store accessory that has mini trains running around inside
I'm addicted to these things, I started collecting them every year since 2020 but I 've also been collecting one from years past in the off season. Though 2 of my biggest gripes with them is the fact that every time they release a steam engine, the tender is sold as if it's a separate car. That and the newer ones don't have working valve gear anymore.
I currently have the 2018 Texas special, which is my favorite, and the K4, but I’ve been noticing that on their steam mentions, they are starting to mold in the valve gear now
I recently got ahold of the Hallmark PRR torpedo ornament set from 2014. It's a neat model and a faithful replica of the original toy, as far as I know. They made a tinplate Blue Comet set as well, which also looks really nice. In terms of size it's closer to TT than N
I own a few Lionel-hallmark ornaments, the 2022 series fantasy Great Northern EP-5 11:32, the 2023 series PRR K4 1361 with it's tender and a caboose, and a polar express themed ornament with a plastic punched ticket and a compass.
I have an ornament of this. 3 of them actually. A chessie system gp38 that matches my O scale Erie Lackawanna gp38, green 40 foot boxcar, and a red caboose.
fun fact they had LARGE ones if i remember right, and lionel did OTHER COLLABS i own the ones in a case a gg1 & a BERK as well as a avon 4-4-2 if i remember
Some other day. This video was originally scheduled to be about them, but then I remembered the holiday season exists and it wouldn’t make much sense to talk about the hallmark ornaments after it’s over

Heck, still pretty good nevertheless!

Still a great video! And Merry Christmas!
Still great
I think the video is great!!👍
Some of the Lionel Hallmark ornaments actually do fit on N scale tracks (ex: MKT Texas Special 2018, M&StL Work Train 2020)
And the M-10000

This has thankfully been the "easy" Christmas gift over the years, so I've recieved the engines since I was a kid.
They also made two ornaments that are basically very tiny train sets. They were Lionelville and the millennium express.
I have the Lionelville one and it’s one of my favorite ornaments
@ Yeah! Me too!
@ nice, I do wish they’d do anther one. Something about mini trains running circuits on an ornament tickles my fancy. It’s like how I’m in love with the Lionel train store accessory that has mini trains running around inside
Unfortunately, the quality has gone down significantly. The newest ornament is smaller than n scale, (slightly larger than Z) and all plastic.
mate when I was a kid I used to use Thomas wooden railway as the Christmas tree train

My grandpa started this collection for me back in 96. This year I will have 30 of them on my tree

And I Want more Hallmark & Lionel Ornaments

Funny i just got the three piece freedom train set from Lionel Hallmark and i was shocked to see it was really decent Z scale !
I remembered Wallace & Gromit Chased Me On a Model Train like This one.
These are nice ornaments.
Trains in Toyland.
oh yeah last year was the pennsy k4 and MILW hiawatha set with bi polar but it looks like a square
oh wait nvm its in the video oops!
Got a hallmark hiawatha from my dad this year. Too heavy to put on the tree but a nice display piece nonetheless
Great video
I have the Daylight, EP2 set, GN EP-5 I think I can’t remember and my Gold Edition UP SD70ACE
I got the SD70ACe yesterday and think it’s a good model.
I have an ornament of this. 3 of them actually. A chessie system gp38 that matches my O scale Erie Lackawanna gp38, green 40 foot boxcar, and a red caboose.

I got gifted the hallmark Berkshire after looking at this :)
YOU POSTED AGIAN YAY
What about the Lionel polar express train
When are you going to review those new locos I saw running in the background?
Some other day. This video was originally scheduled to be about them, but then I remembered the holiday season exists and it wouldn’t make much sense to talk about the hallmark ornaments after it’s over
Ok, I’m especially exited for that video when it comes out because I have one of those 0-6-0 switchers myself and it’s one of my favorites!
I have the Niagara A chessie system loco in gold and a few others
The quality of the Lionel X Hallmark stuff is really going down… smaller. Same price.
