    Turkish is a great airline, flown them many times and they are very consistent and the nation is very proud of their airline, so thanks for being considerate. You are absolutely right about food prep on the flights, one style fits all, but when you are in-town and enjoying the little bistros and food stalls IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY! - the food there is amazing! Frankly, to this day Istanbul is my favorite city to visit (after travelling to over 30 different countries over the last 40 years.) The people are kind, the combination of being on the cusp of Europe and Asia is a mindblowing experience. So happy you got to enjoy it! - I'm sure a Turkish surprise is brewing in Guga's mind right now.

Looking back, I'd trade all of those flight miles for the time I missed with my two young kids. I can buy my way into a first class/business class ticket. What I can't purchase is the time lost with my kids.

    Turkish airlines is amazing. Our flight for delayed just 2 hours and they gave us free food and we’re incredibly nice to us. On our way back (Caracas-Istanbul-Vienna) the flight was overbooked and they gave me and my wife 600 cash, a really nice room at the Eurobuilding and priority check in the next day for catching the flight one day later (it was optional, we also could’ve got on the plane that day because our tickets were bought a year before).

    For the steak, even if it's First Class it's unlikely that they have a grill or even a kitchen in that plane, so they have to reheat premade dishes which would cook the steak. Thus they can't really ask for how cooked you want it. Also, since it's not freshly cooked food they need to cook it through for safety! :)
    Nice video though the plane looks comfortable

    • @DMalek

      Wrong. They have, first class would never serve this food.

      Of course they have a grill on the plane, you don't necessarily have to use charcoal grills, electric grills and induction stoves are thing, no first class in the world would serve pre made food, not even in most business class they serve premade foods.

    • @cdh79
      @cdh79 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was business class, not first class. Turkish airlines doesn't have a first class.
      In first they'd definitely ask how you'd want your steak. In business it depends on the airline. I had been asked before with some carriers, but not as often as one would imagine.

      @@cdh79 so this video could possibly be defamatory, because he is literally saying first class in Turkish Airlines is sheit, when this is not, giving false statements

    I got to have this kind of experience riding Virgin to the UK in their upper class option (I forget what they call it), only they decided to do duck instead, and they DID do it with some pink still in the center, and it was incredible. I think steaks just are not something that works well in an airplane oven, you don't really get much temperature control and it's best for things that don't need as much precision (like duck, which is great no matter how well done it is). Gotta remember, those ovens run off ducts powered by engine waste heat, which is pretty impressive not gonna lie. That said, the duck was juicy as hell and definitely the best meal I've ever had on an airplane. This looks of similar quality, but as you said with the steak, it is what it is, and you gotta please the most people possible. That ravioli looks fire as well, so it's def not all bad like you said. overall it looks like they did a pretty fantastic job

    I agree with Guga on the Turkish Airlines lounge in Istanbul. It is done on a very high level. There is a wide variety of well prepared food served there. I flew a number of times in their Comfort Class cabin (sadly no longer offered) between LA and Istanbul in the 2011 - 2016 era and a couple of times more recently in their business class on the same route. The enroute food service is excellent for an airline. However, it's not fair to compare a steak made in an airline food service kitchen hours before it is eaten with a Guga prepared prime grade steak. I'd be interested to know the circumstances of how he got the free upgrade from economy to business class.
