    Back when I was a young bloke and Triathlon was starting to become big (and mountain biking was in its dawning era), a person who had to have all the bling, but didn't have the talent to match, was called a "Techno-weiner".
    I fear that I fall into that category. However, I am not ashamed, and laugh at those who have skill, but cannot afford my expensive and impulsive upgrades!
    So I say to you my friend, embrace it and be proud!

      I mean.. Half the point of having a bike is to play barbie dress up with it!
      Sure it should be ridden some times too..
      Generally I think people care alot about how others will interpret their actions, about anything, but that's simply no way to live..🙄😁

    You might want to get a breaker-bar; they are pretty cheap. A lot cheaper than that torque wrench you used to loosen the cranks. You will hurt the calibration on that wrench using it that way.

    • @Frorideism
      @Frorideism  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you're 100% correct, didn't have one of those at home :x

      @ZhengZL69 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm pretty sure that torque wrench is designed for high forces, hence how big it was, I doubt why it would hurt the calibration (?*

    "Now I just have to stop crashing and being a shit rider and maybe I won't have to be ashamed for having such a nice bike"
    Finally someone with proper shame haha, I believe that's what they call a "growth mindset" no wonder 5dev hooked you up! 👌

      Hey this guy gets it haha!
      You’re right about the growth mindset, it’s all a process to learn and develop 😉
      ..Thanks alot for that comment, and for watching the full video too! ✌️

    Pretty soon everybody’s gonna be using shorter cranks on mountain bikes I’ve already gone to 170 considering 165 now. 5dev knows what they’re doing excellent company beautiful build quality. Definitely need colors for those cranks the raw material the silver will be definitely more prone to scratches since the anodizing hardens the process!!

    • @Frorideism
      @Frorideism  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I think so too, i’ve been riding 165 on the DH for a while and been loving it, and now on the enduro i really enjoy the clearence when pedaling and it’s noticable that I can crank out a gear faster.
      True point about the ano, the raw ones are clear coated too and it is already rubbing of.
      Love the raw look though 🤷‍♂️😬

    Love the color scheme! Btw how long have you been riding? Was the marin rift zone your second bike?

      @Frorideism  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers! Around 6-7 years, very casually at start so only past year or two iv’e been trying to improve consciously.
      The Rifty was my 3rd bike, had a Votec Enduro before and still have the YT tues

    Very complete replacement instructions, thank you. Just got the 'updated' cranks from 5dev; the only difference I see is the lower torque value of 40Nm (instead of 54Nm)

    Bro is it not about foot stance and the amount of body control it will bring from having a closer point to the central BB
    But heck yes I agreed with better clearance 💪🏻 awesome that the company helped out
    Enjoy them brother

    • @Frorideism
      @Frorideism  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So much of this stuff is down to personal preference, and I was even hesitant to put in the length-thing in the video haha, but yeah stance will change - but will also put you slightly higher up, so some people will actually prefer longer cranks since they sink you more down towards the bike with a wider stance.
      Clearence is one of those things however which is ”kind of objective” in that it improves with shorter cranks. 😁
      Cheers my man!

      If you feel like a baller then you’ll ride like one ;))good to see someone who gets that!
      the bars are Raceface Atlas Kashmoney colorway,
      Raceface turbine stem.

    Nice, exact cycle ring & pedal I want as I just put a orange fox fork on. & here's a thought, you have metal they use to build housing shacks & metal that NASA use for rockets 🚀 Which Metal would you choose to have. Thoughts that blow your mind outta space ! 😅

    Is there any difference between 170 and 165mm crank in terms of perfomance?

    • @Frorideism
      @Frorideism  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From the actual part itself?
      Can’t see that there would be any major differences in regards to durability, shape etc.
      In pedaling efficiency etc there are differences but it seems to balance itself out, depending on the rider.
      There are interesting science papers about it though if you want to dig deep with some internet-biking 😁🤓

      350-550$ depending on model, I think they just added a new model that's "race spec" and then they lower the price on the existing one. But not sure what the deal is
