I had a problem with my SC9s magazines falling out while carrying. I sent it to Ruger and they replaced the magazine release spring. That fixed the problem.

i like my ec9s aegis trigger short stroke quick reset, mcarbo firing pin spring upgrade, 9 round mags, eats everything, zero mal's. carry it 4 years now, perfect IWB concealed. 25 oz. with 9+1 rounds. watch hickok45 for many years, the man was born with a gun in his hand! ruger has made guns for 74 years since 1949. made in usa 🤠

My EC9 is my new preferred carry weapon. The day I bought it I went immediately from the sales counter to the range at buds. My first mag through it was about a two and a half inch pattern. My very first squeeze of the trigger was a dead center bullseye. I was so impressed I immediately retrieved the target, roll it up and took it home after I was finished. It's hanging on my bedroom wall to this day. I've run about 600 rounds through it so far and continue to be impressed with the accuracy. It's every bit as good as the lc9s in my opinion.
Recently bought an EC9 myself and out of 100 rounds I put in it, it failed to feed about 5 rounds when i was shooting. Anyone else have any issues with theirs? Great pistol regardless

HAHA! Amazing! My first shot from my brand new, fresh-from-the-counter-purchase-to-the-range shot was also a bullseye! I love my EC9s, it’s a great gun. (I’m a 50+ y/o woman in decent physical shape. If that even matters!)

I got my EC9s for $ 239.00 from my local gun shop. I put "Glow-On" paint on the sights. I love it. Thanks for your review of the LC9s. It helped in my selection of the EC9s. Keep up the good work.

I’m trying to get my sister a gun but she paranoid to carry because she thinks the cops will kill her for just carrying protection. She’s in college too and don’t even be getting in trouble and stays to herself most the time but I worry about her sometimes.

Just purchased this at Bass pro in Hampton, Virginia for 256.00 $ Good compact 9mm. Fixed sight are fine. Great trigger pull. Well built and sturdy. Safety features are typical ruger, but that's ok with me. Solid well built Carry 9mm with good capacity, and reliability.
I was able to pick one of these from a friend of mine during a trade. ( he threw this in along with a Kimber 1911 for my deer rifle. ) When I got home, I put a little white paint on the front sight and took it out to my little backyard range along with the Kimber. I was NOT expecting much from it. But after 200 rounds of ball ammo and 50 rounds of 147gr defense ammo, my wife and I fell in love with it. Absolutely ZERO FTF's or FTE's. And it shot to point of aim. I figured that I would make it my new truck pistol, but nooooo..... my wife staked claim to it as her new CCW. The only complaint is it comes with one mag. But was able to pick up a couple at our local gun dealer for a good price. Highly recommend this little pistol.
I have about 6 revolvers. Got my ec9s and didnt care for it. I took it out a couple weeks ago and didnt want to stop shooting it. Now i need to watch your 1911 videos. Thanks as allways for what you do.

Thanks. Your daughter and thousands like her are on my mind in every video. We don't want to turn off ANYBODY, even though I'm sure I could sound "cooler" and "hip" if I used some rough street language; we want everybody to feel welcome to the shooting sports and especially to supporting the 2nd Amendment.

Drove up to Mt. Hood National Forest and shot my ec9s for the first time. Loved it! Very accurate for being so small. Also very easy to conceal. Hope I can shoot like this ol scallywag some day!!

I actually just got one of these yesterday, I put about 300 rounds through it today at 15, 20, and 30 yards. So far no problems and way more accurate than I would have expected. The sights are easy to get used to. I'm really liking it. Fed Underwood defender through it too
I used my EC9s to qualify for my Illinois CCL. It conceals great especially in the warmer summer months when you wear thinner clothes.

I've been carrying the EC9 using an optional 9 round extended magazine for a few years now and haven't had any issues at all with it. It's light, reliable and accurate. What I Iike most about this firearm is its small narrow footprint which makes it extremely easy to conceal and carry. It's a quality gun at a fair price.
Just sold my glock 43 to get a EC9. my wife has a LC9.. I like the feel of them better than the glock. I'll probably get some hate from someone LOL
This review made me feel a lil better about my purchase, got the ec9 for my wife the other day for her first pistol. Got it for 220 in NC .

Saw it on sale this week for $189 and I’ve been seeing them at $219. As soon as they come out with a version without the thumb and mag safeties I’ll be buying one.

@@LetsGoBirds I bought it at my local gun store when it was on sale. I forget what the sales price was but I think the out the door price (after registration and taxes, an extra magazine , box of hollow points and a holster.) it was around $350ish. This was over a year ago though.
Bought for a pocket gun as I wear shorts in FL, at the range it eats everything I feed it. For a under$300 I could not be happier. Thanks Hickok!
I got a LC9s and was putting shots in the bullseye with my first mag. My stepdad could not shoot it very well and I've heard others say it didn't work for them. To me it's an awesome gun but always try it out if you can before buying.
Same thing with mine, it was my first pistol. In my experience people who have shot other pistols have a little trouble getting used to the Lc9s.
I carry it on a pretty regular basis and shoot ok with it all center mass at 10 yards. I shoot better with my shield but the LC is even more comfortable to carry. Good little gun.
qqq1701 yeah i had to practice with it to get consistant with it . Thankfully 9mm is pretty cheap
My LC9S was my first 9MM in 10+ years, took me about 100 rounds to get used to it, now I'm a crack show like I am with my 45

I have one and love it. Got it recently and use it as my edc, just throw it in my pocket and go about my day. Would definitely recommend it for anyone else wanting something like that.
Thank you Sir for confirming the problems with the early LC9 and reinforcing the decision I made a few years back to trade my wife's LC9 for the SR9C. She is dead on with the easier trigger pull.
Glad to hear someone actually admit that the LC9s has a nice trigger that's probably a little too nice for pocket carry. I have the pro model, and I'd much rather have the built in sights and the safety now that I've had this one for a couple years.

Just picked one of these up. Your review finally helped sell me on it. I had a LCP II .380 but I wasn't a huge fan of it. Just too small in my hands plus I hated having to buy .380 ammo for just that gun when I have so much 9mm and 45ACP on hand for all of my other guns that I often buy in bulk. I was looking at the EC9s but wasn't sure how much of an improvement it would be for me over the LCP. Your video and knowing you are someone with large hands as well, sold me on getting it. I'm taking it to the range in a couple of days but I can already tell how much better it feels in my hand. I really don't care about fixed sights for a pocket gun so that part didn't bother me at all. Thanks again for your valuable review!
A nice unmentioned feature. There is room behind the trigger to put your index finger for racking or just standing ready. Love this gun.

I had a terrible stance and dumped almost 1k rounds through it and was about to give it up and purchase something new. Then I watched a few videos from Jerry Miculek Thursday night and went to a new range Friday. First 7 rounds at 7 yards out went bullseye.
I proceeded to shoot another 200 rounds with tight groups up to 15 yards, and my GF shot multiple bullseye and she hates shooting 9.
It’s a great pistol for the price. Great reviews. I know I’m a few years late…. But thanks for making quality videos we enjoy watching

Before I buy any new gun I watch a video made by you about it. Thanks for having a video for damn near every gun made today.
I bought a Ruger EC9s a year ago. I love this gun. I love it so much, I went out last month and bought two more. I gave one to my wife and I keep the other as a spare. I like the slimness and ease of concealment. My only complaint was that I suffered trigger bite when shooting it. After a few rounds, my trigger finger was sore. That problem was cured by installing a replacement Aegis trigger from Galloway Precision. Now I have no complaints at all. I also have a Taurus G2c. It has it's own merits and I like it but the Ruger is my favorite for every day carry.

I've shot this gun for 4 years. It does take some practice to manage that long trigger pull and machined sights. I find I can reliably stay on target out to 10 yards before I really must concentrate. Solid option as a close in weapon. I also like it has a manual safety...that's super important if it is going in a purse or pocket.

I have the EC9S and just love it - I used to carry my SCCY 9mm but not anymore, this EC9S is a lot better for me. I just had a hard time with the accuracy of the SCCY, it was reliable but not accurate in my hands(not sure why). The Ruger EC9S is just as reliable but I can shoot it accurately and hit my targets at ease. I lost 3 rounds of carry with the Ruger but I'll take accuracy and confidence any day over 3 rounds of volume with not good confidence of accuracy!. Get one - you will like it!
I carry with the 9 round mag
Ruger's customer service is wonderful. Also, in these pistols it is a good idea to use Hornady 115 grain critical defense. A gentle polishing (not grinding) of the feed ramp works wonders as well. My ec9s now shoots and functions flawlessly. It is a perfect concealed carry pistol.
Nice review and good shooting as always, I got lucky and found a new LC9S for $259.00 for office carry when I need deep concealment in professional clothing. It feels smaller than my Shield and PPS M2 for carry and is noticeably lighter. It has a nice and easy trigger pull.

I have an LC9s and LOVE it. I worked in firearms sales up until the end of last year, and I remember trying to sell people on the LC9s and losing out to the S&W M&P Shield 9mm only because it had an extra magazine. The LC9s was usually 20 bucks cheaper, but people just wanted that mag. I am glad I got an LC9s because I changed my sights out, but I really think Ruger made a wise choice making this firearm so affordable.
A new extra mag for the ec9s is already 40 or 35 dollars so might as well get the shield
I just bought a Ruger EC9s 9mm yesterday & it’s a awesome little compact 9mm only thing I’m going to do is paint my sights… all in all a really good gun my grandpa & me both bought us one.

Many comments are about personal defense and best around 15’-20’. You showed this firearm to be accurate at greater distance than that. Shhhhhhh..... the secret is knowing how to shoot a firearm and practice. Wait, what!

I really like my LC9s, but there are certain types of defense ammo that hangs up on the feed ramp. Never one issue with regular ball ammo. If you have one make sure you try your defense ammo and make sure it’s going to work well.

I was also looking at the Diamondback Gen4, but too many reviews had malfunctions.
I am looking for something smaller than my Glock 19, and this may be just right.
I'm not suprised. My LCP is that way.
Sent my EC9s to Ruger for repairs the third time: stuck slide and barrel. Removed the frame pins and was able to remove the slide from the frame, but parts of the pistol fell apart. Ruger informed me they were going to do the same thing they did to my Security 9: destroy it and send me a replacement. Love Ruger customer service: polite, helpful, friendly, accommodating.
Just purchased this gun, I love it! Sights aren’t all that great but hey don’t come close 🤣

Love my EC9S. Picked it up almost a year ago, took it shooting and up until today I have 00000 malfunction. Out the door for $260 is exactly what I was looking for but feel like I got more than what I expected. My daily ccw.
goodtimes9501 how is the finish holding up after a year of carry? My lcp is my back up pistol I’ve carried it everyday for going on 2 years and I am constantly getting rust on my slide, usually a old t shirt and some clp oil can’t fix..
Just bought mine today and tried it out. It shoots very well and has a good grip and feel, only worry was it stovepiped twice but still like it. My first ever handgun too

My EDC is a Glock 19, but wanted to get a subcompact for deep concealment when needed. For $250, and with Ruger’s reputation, AND I love what Ruger is doing with Marlin… hard to justify spending more than double for a P365…

Yesterday I just bought a brand new RUGER EC9S handgun at Joe’s Sporting Goods for myself for $319.99 plus tax is $344.70 and I went and break it and I really like the recoil.
The ec9s is like the base model of a car
The lc9s is the same model with slightly nicer features.

Seems to be one of the best buys out there for a good quality firearm. Again, I'm not really a Hi-Point hater. Go buy them if you like them, but these days there are some nice firearms, such as this one, for just a little more money. I'd rather have this pistol than ten Hi-Points. :-)

I over paid for my ec9s, 289$ then saw it a week later at bi mart for 219! 😑 but other than that, I love this gun, fired a few hundred rounds so far with no issues whatsoever! Love it
