Any tips on brake bias? I struggle mightily to not lock up the brakes. I've tried increasing the brake bias a little, but my corner entry is still my biggest weakness.

Quite often these are setup-related issues. What brakes do you run? Avoid going more that 75~80% onto your brake in initial braking and ease in a little do not to upset the car on entry.

@@FindingSpeed I'm trying to get good enough that I can use the default 50.1% (I only run fixed setup). I find I can only use about 50-60% pressure before I start to lock up the wheels. I was trying to focus on matching my red bar to what you have in the video, but haven't been able to get the same results yet. I am admittedly very new to the car still (purchased at start of the season) and haven't raced any road besides the Miata, so I'm definitely still in the early stages of learning how to drive the Ferrari.

Are there any big differences in braking points or times for the lamborghini?

save yourself the headache, lambo is fast but an absolute pain to get consistent 44's with it, just use the audi like every other tom dick and harry and nail 44's every lap, its quite a bit easier compared to the lambo. My weapon of choice is the bmw m4, i can do 44's with it but not as consistently as the audi, as you need to nail every single braking point and apex for everycorner to have a chance of keeping up with a sloppy driven audi.

Braking points are much the same, but due to the differences in weight distribution you might find it better to brake slightly earlier and lighter, but try and carry mid-corner speed.

What are the easy set-up changes here to gain lap time as you mention?

    • @FindingSpeed

Lower the wing until you start losing too much speed in slower corners.

@@FindingSpeed I run with wing 3. That's the minimum the set-up even allows me to.
Tried playing with tire pressures. More consistent handling increasing 10k on left side mostly (right side warms up a lot more and rear left has lower loads in general. no improvements in laptime.
I can make low 1m45s, best is 1m45.1 with 40L on board.
      RHF: 45mm
      RHR: 68mm
      Diff pre-load is 75.

Leave the tyre pressure at the lowest setting. I wouldn’t recommend anything lower than 3 anyway, but it’s personal to a degree. I’d suggest you need to make some driving tweaks to get the speed you’re after - sub 45 is doable with 6 on the wing, so setup isn’t going to help you here.

    • @FindingSpeed
      @FindingSpeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

That said, your preload is low.

@@FindingSpeed Absolutely, my driving is what needs to improve the most :D
I'll try different pre-loads now ahead of the VRS Endurance race.
