lel Jalan Alor, touristy spot not even the best food.
Jalan Alor (Alor Street) mostly cater for tourists which most of them not really authentic Malaysian food; many of them are Thai, Vietnamese or even Mongolian cuisines.. and majority are local Chinese food but taste rather mediocre compared to other places

The persons that approach you taking a picture is not Malaysian nor Local people. Most of them are illegal immigrants from Indonesia which do this job unauthorize and ask you to pay the money and if not they will scold at you like they are malaysian. Please avoid this people and what can i say here, they are SCAMMER.

2:06 Jalan Alor is expensive af since it caters for tourists. It's double at times triple the price of street food elsewhere in KL. Locals don't usually go there.....

I have been to KL 6 times, last time was pretty recently, and yes I agree that the nightlife of KL is buzzing especially around Bukit Bitang

Stay longer in KL till 31 August 2023 for the National Day Parade in Putrajaya. You can take MRT to Putrajaya…but must come very early in the morning.

We locals don’t usually go to Jalan Alor for food. Too crowded and prices are higher. The most famous food there is Wong Ah Wah grilled chicken wings 😅

Food eating trying is not easy to recommend , everybody have its personnel like n dislike . The only fruit you must try is Durian but the outcome is unpredictable . normally i recommend you should try is Roti Canai, Ramly burger n Nasi lemak

We should not mix up the concept of ethnicity and nationality, foreigners often confuse about these two.
Malaysian is a concept of nationality, while Malay, Chinese and Indian in the context of Malaysia is a concept of ethnicity. Therefore, it is inaccurate to use the flag of China and India to represent the Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Indian population, because all Malaysian Malay, Malaysian Chinese, and Malaysian Indian would identify ourselves as [Malaysian] (nationality) first, then their respective ethinicity or race.
The significant Chinese and Indian population here is not due to a recent migration of population from modern day China or India like the Western countries would often encounter, but formed due to gradual trades, settlement and colonization in the past several centuries in Malaysia. Hence, when the country that called Malaysia is formed, all the descendents of past settlers were absorbed into this identity called [Malaysian].
Sidenote: Malaysia maintain a strict citizenship laws after the independence, therefore all the Chinese and Indian population you saw in Malaysia do not have direct link or connection with the modern day China or India. Yes, they are culturally similar but not the same, that's why you can find Chinese food like Bak Kut Teh or Kuey Tiow in Malaysia, but not in China.
