Hello guys, welcome to another episode of Fix Your Finance. In today’s episode, we meet 40-year-old Kaustuban who retired early and achieved FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) at the age of 35.
Kaustuban began his journey working in a call center. However, after working for 4 years in the corporate sector, he decided to pursue his master's degree and started working in a Fractional Real Estate start-up.
In this video, we discuss his income at the various stages of his career, how he managed to save 80-85% of his salary, his investments, how he saved and invested to retire early, and how he began an entrepreneurial journey after retirement.
We also discuss some tips and strategies to keep in mind while planning to achieve FIRE.
and much more!
Enjoy :)

From working in a call center to heading a company he has grown exponentially I'm sure he has worked hard for that. Available at the right place at the right time he is a major boost to his Career. Amazing sir.
Ghis gaya hoga without ghisna kisko nehi mila i am glad he succeeded because sab race mai lage hue hai
It matter bro, even buffet said the same thing. If he was born 50 yr after or before he would have not made it. This is what made me believe in God or probability. Even if we were 5 beds apart our life would have been so diffeen4 forger years.
His mindset was his real investment.
I can see the difference of mindset right here in my house. I am a kind of middle class mindset and my elder brother rejected the idea of middle class . He struggled for about 8 years and now his business turnover is more than 2.8 crs with 70% profit.
What type pf business does he doo
Q
No business exist with 70% profit .
If it does it will soon be diluted by competition

naah. that proit is a lie.
Luck also matters .. from 12 lacs to 1.8 cr in 2 years ..rare happening
Not 12 it's 24
Very rare.
1.8 cr is also less now a days. You can buy 1 bhk in Mumbai

This is awesome. Managing lifestyle inflation is real and not announcing to the world that you are rich is the key.
This is my favorite episode. What a man and his values? He is amazing
HE IS AN INTELLIGENT GUY FOR SURE PLUS HIS INCOME GREW EXPONENTIALLY....KUDOS TO HIM 🎉
35k in 2004 is brilliant 😅
Ikr
He was 20 back then.
How much did you make when you were 20 years old?
I am going to school on 2004 my 10 th
Yeah thats amazing! People still make the same as a fresher in TCS and similar firms 20 years later
Yes
Gold rate in 2004 - around 5000-6000 Rs. His first job salary was more than 10g gold rate. It's like today's fresher getting the salary of 1 lac. On top of that he was earning 30k monthly incentive. It is very easy for such a person to retire at 35. Not everyone can follow his footsteps.
Amazing ❤ I love this man and his mentality. Also, thanks to Anshuman for asking the right questions and not interrupting his thoughts. 🎉
Thanks a lot for beautiful clarity
It's kind of a repeated telecast for wint wealth subscribers
This man is what I would be in another 10-15 years, Im 25 right now
What are you doing right now?
😂😂 he has proper luck please don't set such expectations
all the best buddy
@@CorporateRider-lx8lf Thanks buddy

Thank you sir, inspiring story. Appreciate your guidance.
Guy never got married, 90% savings seems practical
He is married bro, see the interview properly
If he is earning 1 cr every year
10% is 10 lac is enough to make family to spend
90% is saying it real and true by what is telling this guy

What a Story! What a guy!❤
Beautiful furniture and decor.
Really fantastic video, am so happy to watch anshuman you asked questions so humbly.
Amazing session 👌🏻
This is video is good. Better than those videos in which people spend their money on useless things. I am also on the same path saving 90% of my money, the only difference is I don't have 1cr+ salary 😆 Thank you Anshuman.
Zabardasth video....START to END 👌
Tooo honest.... Very transplant....what we expect the concept. . Thank you
One of the very real motivating discussion i would say rather interview. If felt after listening to Kaustaban that I was listening to a new neighbour. Very real, raw, simple and most important honest. Please make and interview these kind of individuals. Highly motivating.
I can see that people in the comments are ranting about saving 90% salary. I feel sad for them as they are stuck in their so called expenses of useless things that they see saving 90% salary is impossible.
Saving 90% of income require dedication and complete control over money by living your life as frugal. And it is 1000% possible if people control their emotional purchases.
It also need you to not marry and not having any kids. And when your hair is white in 45 you will have a kids crying in your lap.😂
@@abhishekshrivastav7941 Lol. Still ranting about not marrying. You have to earn more when you are married. Instead of upgrading you skills and earning more you are giving excuses of not marrying to save more. 🤦
For his scenrio Skill + Hardwork + Luck are worked very well.
Very interesting chap. Nice interview.
Its all about mentors man getting the right mentors and exposure is so important in life.

Kaustabh still is crazy for cricket. I remember he and his two roommates were always playing during weekends of our MBA days.
Good for him !!!
Anshuman your doing amazing job 🎉❤
always keep your temptations in check and build a savings cushion (don't go after all those show off thing) after you have this, just go for good calculated risks and keep leveling up in terms of Salary/earning.
this guy is an example for all those people who crib around in corporate
Most people cribbing are married

His journey highlights how pursuing roles in smaller, dynamic companies can lead to substantial personal and professional growth 🚀.
Immense respect for this guy
bhai par where are you fixing his finances he was just here for flexxing
He is an excellent financial management person
Worth watching 20 minutes!!
Great video ❤
Thanks for sharing this experience sirjey and anshuman for bringing this... ignore the hate comments of crabs,, i just loved this video
While his approach and attitude are commendable, its rare to see such exponential growth in salary whether in a startup or own business. He definitely lucked out with that. He did work hard and even when his salary was 1.8cr he kept his expenses low in comparison and that helped. Good on him. Leading a great life.
I too used to work in a call centre back in 2004 but of course bug of being a software engineer hit me hardnlike it did to an entire generation at the time. If someone had told me the potential of earning in a sales field was more, inwouldve dropped my IT job long time ago. But no worries. I got to travel to kultiple countries on work and now lead a very comfortable life. Not very rich but comfortable and my needs are very minimal.
4ra having Finch as an ambassador adds a layer of trust and class to their events pure quality 👌⭐
I worked in 3 early stage startups in my career. I couldn't find a job, so I was forced to take such a job for the first job. I realised what he realised during the first job and continued trying my luck in early stage startups. It was my early stage career, so I thought I can take some risks. It was an extreme stage of stress, confusion, excitement and exponential learning. It was a mixed bag to be exact. The expectation was that one of them might click and unfortunately, that didn't happen and responsibilities kind of guided me to choose a stable company. I might try my luck again sometime or am I too old for it? I don't know.
Inspiring!!!
Very nice story with everything clarity like how to retire, money management and after retirement.
Thank You Very Much to you both for sharing wonderful knowledge.
Excellent
Not all startups increase salaries when their profits increase exponentially unless they give employee ESOPs. I worked in a startup for 2 years which grown like anything..but my salary went from 8k to 16k. So I had to resign from it
My starting salary was 8k in 2021...Now its 33k in 2024.... This is not relatable at all... Still good for the lad... Happy for him
Maybe ur not that good as he was or u dont take risks
You are on the right track.
Think in terms of multiples.
You are now at 4X in 3 years. That is 33% annual growth.
If you've done this, you're doing something right.
If you maintain this growth trajectory, in 2027, you will be at 15 LPA, this is where it picks up speed.
In 2030, you will be at 60 LPA.
What do you need to do to achieve this??
1. Invest in yourself - Upskilling
2. Learn, Unlearn, Re-learn
3. Network
4. Provide Value.
You'll get there.
2033 should see you at 1.2 Cr to 2.4 Cr.
Stay Positive & remain focussed.
Enjoy yourself while doing all this, else there no point.
Great job anshu
Kindly make a video on how to buy land and sell it??? Everything related to it .

Sales is where its at
If u want Early retirement then u need to earn in crores. That's it
He is still young he must continue to increase his wealth
Really concerned about rising heat…i always want to plant more trees…also only planting tree wont help we need to grow them and for that need water…because in my hometown, water is available every 6 days…at such place growing trees is a challenge i think…
This Guy is extremely Lucky
Besides his hard work and sales skills, I would say this guy had a lot of luck going his way. The kind of increments and jumps he got are not possible for a normal person. This guy is an exception.
What a guy!
Hi how were you able to fetch the property in discount ???
I'm 30. My salary is 10 lpa and I'm in sales. Every month my job is at risk. I have zero savings. My investments are 4 lakhs. I need 10 lakh for my marriage by year end. 5-7 lakhs for house renovation. After 3 years I need 20 lakhs for my sister's marriage and of course other expenses. My job is at risk. My mind is not working.
Open TH-cam channel and start getting paid 😅
Reduce marriage expenses. If you don't have the money
You have to get right on your finance. You need to get contact with a good financial advisor to do it properly for you.
Forget about your sister marriage, if she wants to get married she should find her own way to do it.
@@gray9050 that’s not how it works in middle class families sir

@@sb-dz5vv what do you think what would be my age and my income ?
Keep your goals high. Try to achieve everything in next 1 year, which otherwise you would achieve in next 5 years. And nobody can beat your pace.
@@rhl1110 not 1 year 🤣. 10 years. But why people r jealous if I say that I'm also progressing. Those who wanna be jealous just keep your burnol handy 😉
Not jealous. People won't believe your words, they believe in data. You didn't share your data on your plans, current income, how much % u r saving/investments etc.
Anshuman bhai nice podcast about Finance. Brother, One request starts uploading on Spotify, it will be easy to listen to the podcast while driving.
With Finch as an ambassador 4ra always feels more premium and reliable great vibes every time 😜🎗

Rents are high in hyd and bangalore because of IT services ...

Finch at 4rabet events is like a stamp of excellence always a sign that things are gonna be awesome 🤩🎉
The beautiful classic wooden sofa these bummers are sitting on are probably made by a hard working and experienced carpenter aged 60. World is made by people who are hard working and the visionaries, people who think what all can I achieve with rest of the time I have and not keep counting when can I retire.
But obviously you need to love whatever you do, and if it is your taste to eat with all the savings you made by 30 or 40 for the rest of your life, then good for you!

what will u do after early retirement. watching TV at home. its a stupid thought to retire. work till u r alive.. rather u call it as financial frredom
What is this business what they do ?
He took RISK by joining startup during 2012 and he REWARDED accordingly
Risk is a gamble. Luck was by his side
With one crore cash, can I retire? I am 36, have an own house, not married, dependent parents.
Startups don't succeed many times. I always worked in start-ups and let me tell you, if you ain't got T shaped skillset or M shaped skillset, don't join.
What business does he do now?
He should have answered this.
Home interiors & renovations
This guy was even smarter then ayushman
He is lying like anything. Dude in India which area or city rental yield is 10%???
Host: you will lose your credential if you interview such people.
Mate welcome to Bangalore. in 2010 you would have been able to afford a 3bhk gated community in Marthahalli orSarjapur for 75-80 lakhs and the current rent there is around 60 -70k. Feel free to google. I don't think an apartment you buy today in 2024 is gonna give u 10% right away at start if that's how u r thinking
It could be his yield on cost as he might have bought the property way cheaper than what it is now. Yield might be around 4-5% but yield on cost might be higher.
Mate I am kannadiga and from bangalore. Property bought in 2010 and rent you are saying is 2024. Watch carefully in video he is saying immediately after buying he started getting 10% yield. That means person or builder who sold property at such a low rate is fool?? Common mate.
You must remember he said he bought at 30 to 40% discount , spruced it up , furnished it and then rented it.
Which company grew so exponentially.. Name?
