All of them are great, but King of the Monsters is my personal fav. It's that kind of movie I could watch endlessly and never get sick of it.

Yea, with the comedy in the film the jumpscared was extremely surpising
The brutality is offset by the high caliber performances.

I saw this in theaters at the end of a really sh*tty week at work and I wanted something entertaining to take my mind off things. The film did just that, so I can appreciate for doing so regardless of any flaws it has. That said Kong’s fight with the helicopters, John C Reilly’s performance, the final fight and the post credits tease were all good

Yes!! More Monsterverse reactions! Also, gorillas are technically omnivores but mainly eat vegetation 😁. But they will occasionally eat insects. I know Kong’s a Titan and not technically a gorilla and he mainly eats meat but I just thought I’d clear up your confusion :)

I honestly really enjoyed this movie. It's nothing like I expected it to be yet was all the better for it. It's unique, and I appreciate that. I also got a kick out of all the unexpected video game and anime easter eggs in it.

So some backstory on kong from some monsterverse comics. In this universe his parents were the last of the kongs. While kongs mother was close to giving birth they were attacked by skullcrawlers. So kongs father fought them off while kongs mother gave birth. Then when he was born she hid him in a small area that was out of the skullcrawlers reach. Then kong watched his parents fight and die at the hands of the skullcrawlers while he was a newborn. He actually watched them devour his parents. It's a big reason he shows empathy to humans because they are the closest thing to his species that he can relate too.
Check out Crimson Peak a gothic masterpiece of a film that also just happens to star Tom Hiddleston.
Okay, from what I understand. John Goodman was the only survivor of the ship that was mentioned in Godzilla 2014, the same ship that was the sacred grounds in this movie. He was the first person in the modern age to see Godzilla.

This movie is the best out of all of them easily , just beautiful scenery and so many cool shots , kong is perfect and so many monsters , just a cool as hell movie . Kong is definitely my fav out of him and Godzilla
I liked this movie the best out of all of the monster verse but I like king less than Godzilla. This one had by far the most likable characters and stuff but Godzilla is such a badass monster lol
As much as I love this movie my personal favorite was KOTM it had all the classic monsters with new ones,a decent lineup of characters played by good actors,really good action most of the time,and the best soundtrack by far out of these movies but this movie definitely had the better writing and much more likeable characters

One of my favorites with Tom Hiddleston outside of Marvel is War Horse. It takes place during WW1
The Vietnam era was the first mass production of helicopters I believe so it makes sense that the island wasn’t explored before cos planes would be too awkward and boats couldn’t make it
King Kong’s roar is much better in the Peter Jackson film. He’s also a much better fighter and has a superior movie in general. It’s not part of the Monsterverse but it stands on its own as a phenomenal movie
Best part was definitely king kong vs the trio of v-rexs
and the VFX has aged surprisingly well being a 2005 film.

Ppl in my theater we're like "The movie was awesome! I can't wait to see what other monster is going to appear in the end credit scene! Is it gonna be the boa from the old movies?" And when they saw who was in the end credits, they were cut off guard when they saw a reptilian titan with spikes on his back fighting a three-headed beast. We all screamed so loud like it was an endgame type of movie
Kong in this movie isn't fully grown, but he is fully grown in Godzilla vs Kong
I barely watch people reacting to movies purely because I know they are going to like it based on the majority of people asking them to watch it. Now you watching Godzilla brings me to smile because as a child I grew up with the Godzilla franchise made from Toho. Granted not all their Godzilla related movie because at the time I couldn’t find them all when Blockbusters was a thing.
And to see you reacting to the movie brings me joy that a person that probably wasn’t as invested into the Godzilla lore besides liking giant monster fights. But that end credit scene made me smile cause of your reaction was just great. A butterfly, made me laugh cause when I first saw her, I thought she was one but granted the vfx at the time was just a puppet but yeah.
Oh and the jump scare with that guy dying and your face was funny cause that’s was mine and my bros.

That’s half true, they made kong smaller in this film so he could interact better with the humans but also making him big enough to feel like a god instead of just a giant gorilla, plus they literally say in this film that kong is still growing

This made me realize that I've never saw King Kong versus Mecha King Kong.
and it's a shame a lot of people don't look at the king Kong movies not just the original original, but also the other movies that came after it, including the ones from Japan, the TV cartoon shows, and video game(s) and the rides, both the old one and the new one in universal studios . Hopefully, Warner Bros. will bring light to all of them.
It’s not mecha king kong it’s machani-king and he predates mechagodzilla by 6 years, there’s plenty of different King Kong films they aren’t all about him climbing up a building

@@acousticks526 not a opinion it's a fact everything about this movie is simply better. The human characters and fights in this movie are way superior to that of KOTM. The only reason why people think that KOTM is better is because they're blinded by the nostalgia of seeing the classic Toho monsters. There's no way you rather watch Madison having daddy issues than watching soldiers fighting monsters in skull island in order to survive. Madison is such a boring character compared to Marlow and Packard. And don't even get me started on the fights from KOTM that not only were too hard to see because of the darkness but got cut out every second to have humans on screen. KSI fights were more back and forth with Kong fighting like wrestler and putting in some nice combos as well as using tools and the best part was that we could actually see what was going on cause most of the fights where in plain daylight.
Oh yeah! Now flex those guns!
As a kid who grew up in the 70s and had to watch Kong get destroyed by machine guns in that movie in 1976. It’s very satisfying to watch the bullets not even affect him👍🏻

(The tall spider with bamboo legs)
4- Psychovultures (The flying things that rip apart humans)
5- Skull Crawlers
(the normal sized skull devils that lived him hollow earth/skull island before the humans woke them up. They also killed the entire species of Kongs)
6- The big one (The bigger type of skull crawler that faced kong in the end battle)
7- Mire Squid (The big squid kong ate)
9- Spore mantis (The log that turned out to be a living insect but a bigger version)
10- Death Jackals - NOT IN THE MOVIE BUT IN COMICS (Canon)
(Death jackals are basically bigger versions of hyenas and velociraptors mixed)
11- SirenJaw- NOT IN THE MOVIE BUT IN COMICS (canon)
Sirenjaw is a big crocodile like creature who lives in the swamp and is like an ambusher
Thats how the SirenJaw gets its prey
12- Swamp locusts - NOT IN THE MOVIE BUT COMICS (canon)
They live in the swamp lands under the water while their legs stretch above the water acting like rotten trees when a prey goes through the rotten trees the swamp locust will stretch its neck and eat you from beneath
13-Magma turtle - NOT IN THE MOVIE BUT IN COMICS (canon)
Gigantic turtles with shells like rocks and trees sticking out of them, they were born from the center of the volcano
14- Vine stranglers - NOT IN MOVIE BUT IN COMIC (canon)
Giant insect like creatures that live on trees acting like vines
when a prey walks beneath them they will strangle their victims to death
They camouflage like vines on trees
15- Holy Tiger (Icarus Tigress) NOT ON MOVIE BUT IN COMICS (canon)
was supposed to be in the movie but didnt get in
a giant tiger but white and has bright red blood like stains on its face
and redish black stripes blue pale-ish eyes and a dears antlers on its head

vine like snake that blends in with skull islands vegetation waiting for its prey

Gorillas are vegetarians but Kong is not an average gorilla.
Actually supriseingly gorillas are omnivores which means they eat bot meat and vegetation but most of their diet is made up of eating greens they only eat meat as a one off treat or if times are hard

No matter what movie Brie catches my eye all the time, but her wardrobe in this movie was just perfection! Loved it! her chemistry with Tom and Sam was just amazing too, makes me sad we might never see Carol interact with Loki in the MCU any time soon! But at least we got Carol and Fury!
