Just happened to see your TH-cam page, nice seeing some San Francisco Bay sturgeon videos. Looking forward to the one with you and Paul later today. Before retiring up north along the Columbia River I was an Alameda guy who started fishing sturgeon in San Francisco Bay in the early 70’s. I would run into Abe and Angelo a lot on the water back in the day and we would exchange tips back and forth to finding sturgeon, they would be out in their Whaler and I would be in my 1981 20 Mako CC, which in fact I still have and use for fishing all the time. Keep up the great work.

Great comment about reminding people to slow down when passing a charter boat that is on anchor. Be a courteous boater/fisherman. Call it...professional courtesy.

@@Fishi_nn that’s similar but with a rubber net so you don’t damage fish and get hooks caught in it maybe they sold out of the blue ones for now but that’s the brand they are bad ass nets.
Can you tell me what will the best baits to use in the San Joaquin county delta river to catch sturgeon? How long will you have to wait on average to catch one? And if I use that bait what percentage do you think my success rate will be to catch sturgeon?
Question for you tho. What type of lure would you recommend for sturgeon or is bait the best option??. Thank you in advance.
Lure fishing for sturgeon is not the way to go that would be more like snagging 🚫 you can only fish for them on anchor with a single barbless hook.
