Another tip: if you are having a hard time quitting the game while jumping off, have a enemy knock you off, and have the quitting screen already ready.
You can also get off your horse and back on, still keeping the glitch active until you die or teleport. I've been using this to touch graces faster. Edit: Should clarify as long as the game registers you near any type of ground, that being fences, guard rails, roofs, ect. It will let you off your horse, other than that, the game will think you're constantly "falling". That's also why you cannot jump in this mode unless ground is close by, you will get stuck in mid air and will die.
I have seen a lot of people using this, but I haven't seen anyone with any practical uses for it. I think you might be able to abuse this with the stake a Marika's to get to areas you haven't unlocked yet. The height differences of each region kind of throws a wrench in that though. I wound love to see what implications this has in the long run. If you were to make a video of actual applications of this glitch, I would watch it.
distortion 2 used it to get to carian manor/belfry grace in a run the other day to get a sub 1:45 time on an all remembrances run starting from the same spot in the video
@Karel Šlaj yes you can shoot bow on horse back, but you cant use skill like mighty shot which would do more damage. so I think just dying in the boss room and going back to stake or marika would be faster, other than having to reset up the glitch
@@STOPSYPHER How many hard loading zones does this game really have that would restrict you? Not many. If you think literally flying isn't useful for getting anywhere I don't know what to tell you.
Just practice, muscle memory will do its thing. After a lot of tries I was able to quit fast enough on keyboard (I'm still not consistent with it, but it's possible).
Which really sucks because the current all remembrances run is kinda lame with carian retaliation. Hopefully that gets fixed but they leave in this horse glitch so the route is less lame… although we’ll still probably end up using mimics anyways

You can get to mohgwyn palace immediately after godrick if you do varre questline, its extremely easy and it only takes like 15 minutes total, however its still locked behind godrick and theres no earlier way to get there. Only option i see is using this flying horse glitch in siofra river to get to mohgwyn palace but even then it seems a little far fetched with how high up the palace outskirts are, and the agressive deathboxes around it
Yes! You can use this flying glitch to get to Mountaintops of the Giants early from the Altus Plateau if you carefully fly your way around the back of Leyendell and then die flying in the air under the bridge where the flame dudes are in range of a stake of Marika. There's then a second glitch that allows access to the consecrated snowfields from mountaintops, and from there you can access Mohg. This doesn't require any remembrances at all, just access to Altus!
@@DarkesLuk well you have to hit certain flags to progress the game, elden ring has the maliketh flag which turns leyndell into dust, thus allowing to fight the endboss. some games have more or less to do. any% speedruns are basically how fast can i go with no restrictions. it's a cool category because most routing and technique's are from this category that bleeds even into no glitches (best setup etc.) a lot of runners play this so they can eventually go into more difficult categories like 100% or whatever category the game has thats all remembrances like. and tbh if you do it without glitches, you would just get the best equipment and then take the shortest route to farum azula anyway, not really that great seeing more horseback riding to get gear and oneshot the bosses that you want to see. glitches are interesting because you basically sequence break the game, in this case it's "just" wrong warp and pegasus thus it's not really interesting, but watch a all dungeons zelda wind waker hd run and you will see why glitches elevate the skill ceiling to the max. basically in some games it's lame and in some it makes the category even more challenging because the glitches are frame perfect, which adds replay value.
