11:53 Is this the only way to kill without a Ko? Or can you play more basic principled and reduced from the outside first? I’ve heard a Pro say please don’t go inside unless it’s the only way. And not to get into the habit of always going inside. But my reading skill is not close to being able to keep track of the many many variations in this life and death question:(
Good point! In most cases you should aim to reduce from the outside first. However if jumping inside is the only way to kill...then jump inside. Not sure if it's the only way here, it might be possible to reverse the order of moves somehow, but this is the standard method that most people (including me) know.
1. Got stones for free - that's because you attach and give your opponent the points that were meant to be theirs anyway. And you keep sente. So there's no price to pay for those stones, you just get them. 2. Not really. Black could play that third attachment even without the first two. But getting some beneficial exchanges and some stones that might come in handy later in the game is always a good thing.
4:09 - noob question: it seems that white got right bottom corner after black invasion - is it ok? How was points changed for both sides after invasion?
Please don't completely cover the original speaker with the voiceover. I understand the desire for clear translation, but the 100% voice over feels quite unnatural and disconnected from the Alexander. Have you considered leaving the original voice in the background at a lower volume or using subtitles? This would help preserve the original voice and make it feel more connected to the content. Currently, this complete voiceover makes it feel like I'm watching two different videos - one with the voice and one with the videotape.
i disagree... most of the video is looking at the board anyways so theres not really any "disconnect" between the speaker and the voice. if i was hearing two voices it would feel even more like im watching two separate videos.
@TheBagelSlinger have you ever watched any dubbed videos? The is the most common practice in every dubbing there is. To lower the volume of the original voice to around 20%, while still ensuring that any emotional expressions, laughs, and other such sounds remain audible. Only very professional voice acting studios totally remove the original voice line. Because they match the new voice ideally with the original speaker's voice. While in this video, the voice we hear is entirely different, and it doesn't suit Alexander.
@@Mitsu-q4h Matching the voice closely only really matters if you're dubbing a person or character with a distinct or iconic voice. No offense to Alexander but he's not exactly an anime protagonist. I don't think most people in the english speaking world even know what his voice sounds like.
This is an eternal dispute. Some people prefer voiceovers, some others like dubbing. If you happen to watch the entire course on Go Magic however, we have both versions available there.
Great stuff! Not sure I would dare play like this :-) I need to review this a few more times, and try it out!
Very advanced things there. But really fun to try!

hi i have questions
6:06 / 13:50 what it means you get 2 stones for free?
6:55 so the third sente attachment was the goal for this sequence?

thank you for the explanation

You're right and that's OK! It's insignificant compared to how much White lost here. This bottom territory was White's largest asset and it's gone.
