Can you do year in review of from the 90’s WCW and ECW TNA ROH? Also the cutter was actually done but Bob Orton in a match in 1987 4 years John Ace invented the Ace crusher
People still watched the shows/ppvs. If they aren't at risk of losing/don't lose a good chunk of the audience it doesn't change. It's still money. Same goes for movies. This is obvious by now.
I met Marc Mero after he did a speech at my high school. One of the nicest people I’ve ever met and had been through so much. He’s just grateful for every opportunity he’s gotten
He has become one of the best motivational speakers I've ever seen. Just watch some of his videos and what he says about how messed up he was back in the day.
Dibiase had never managed Undertaker before the 94 angle. Dibiase was an active wrestler when Undertaker debuted in WWF. He was the captain of the 1990 Survivor Series team, in which Undertaker debuted as a mystery partner. So Dibiase introduced Undertaker to WWF, but he didn't do so as the manager. Brother Love was his original manager but that only lasted a few months before Paul Bearer took over.
An even bigger problem with Cena vs Laurinaitis is that it really should've been CM Punk vs Laurinaitis, since Punk was the one who brought up his name on TV in the first place, but i guess since he was WWE Champion at the time, we should be happy that Johnny Ace wasn't being given WWE Title Shots in 2012.
As a 10 year old the Taker vs Taker feud was awesome. I can see how it wouldn't appeal to older audiences but as a kid it seemed like the coolest thing.
The funny part for me is that I see what they were going for. Like if the dogs hadn't shit everywhere it could have been a decently unique idea. But I also don't know what else they expected to happen.
Sable's Feuds with torrie wilson when she returned and Stephanie McMahon on smackdown in the summer of 2003 were awesome especially the stephanie mcmahon feud those backstage brawls they had were great especially that one they had in a skybox on the july 17th 2003 episode of smackdown was great Sable's second run was awesome that was my introduction to her still can't believe that happened 21-years ago time flies.
The thing about the #2 spot is they wanted to do a modern version of Marc Mero & Sable. Needless to say the angle was axed. So the result? The company punished them with 1) the Lashley/Rusev feud (that was bad) 2) Rusev released in I think early 2020 and 3) Lana taking bumps on the announce table by Nia Jax.
For some reason in my head, even though I 100% know they’re different people, and I literally grew up watching JBL in the APA, when I hear “John Laurinitus” I think of JBL.
Everything involving Laurinaitis and the anonymous GM laptop, is still the worst storyline in wwe history. nothing in 1995, or anything from late 2010-CURRENT DAY, is as bad as that.
I don't mean to sound like I'm rushing you or anything but I was genuinely curious: were you planning on continuing the year in review series into the 2010s or just capping it off at 2009?
Brie vs Nikki, what is this? The Kardashians? Seriously, wombgate, jaremi called, he wants his party city line back The only thing i got from total divas regarding this is nikki mad at her family regarding her love life with cena?
Lawler vs Cole was actually when I turned off Raw and Smackdown forever. Except for whatever might pop up here on TH-cam at least, since I watch the channel's videos a lot.
I do want to make a correction to you on Michael Cole: prior to his feud with Jerry Lawler, he was in a tag team match with Jerry on Raw once, so there was at least one time Michael Cole wrestled before the Lawler/Cole feud.
I feel sorry for anyone who bought a ringside seat for WWE Unforgiven 1999, only to spend the 2nd half of the show covering up your nose after dogs 💩 all over the place and Al Snow and Big Bossman did the same thing in the ring
Damn I can't believe I watched wrestling for this long i remember all of these matches 😂 Hogan trying to sue for defamation of his baldness mad me bust out laughing at the office 😂😂😂😂
Mr. Andy….not that I don’t love your content because I do! Absolutely everything you post is gold. Just wondering if you’ll ever get back to singular docs on wrestlers.
Alot of women, including the Bellas had no business in the wrestling industry. They were awful and could not wrestle. These two have no business being in the WWE HOF. Hopefully most women from the Ruthless Agression Era & PG Era (like Torrie Wilson & Stacy Keibler) will not be inducted into the WWE HOF (but knowing WWE some will). Maybe other wrestling HOFs will take theirs seriously and not induct most of those women.
Everything you said about the Bella Twins feud is exactly why I hate it. It’s (in my opinion) the worst feud of 2014. The only good parts were when Brie won those 2 v 1 handicap and arm tied behind the back matches and when she pinned Nikki in the 6 woman tag match they had. Other than that, the rest is 🤮
@@boredbitch666 precisely, plus Punk was the one that was very against the WWE System while Cena being the Franchise always seemed like he'd have been better off doing something that didn't get him involved with the storyline.
I know the Boss Man feuds in 1999 was bad but I found them to be entertaining because Boss Man (despite me hating him 😅) was so funny. So I appreciate him even more. And another thing, Undertaker couldn't wrestle Big Show for the WWF title. Because he was out with an injury by the end of 1999 when Big Show became champion.
Imma disagree on both Bossman feuds. They were great fun! Cooking Pepper was silly, cheesy storytelling. And having Big Show sliding around on his father's casket is one of the most hilarious moments in all wrasslin' history.
@@mtaylor3684 did you not watch this video? listen from 11:20 onward. it clearly said that Ted was the original manager of the dead-man and was going revive his former client.
Yes I think the 2010s decade Michael Cole was terrible but now I think he is one of the best commentators ever and he is a legend of commentary since Vince McMahon is not in his ear he is is incredible and his duo with Pat McAfee on Smackdown 2021-2022 (which is now back on Monday night Raw) really help him now I love Michael Cole on commentary.
I'll be honest, I hated Cole when he had Vince screaming in his ear. Now that Vince is gone, Cole is a lot better. I'd even say that he looks younger without Vince constantly yelling at him.
Personally I've always liked Cole's work. I feel it just took a while for him to get the respect because A.) He used to be the "new guy" being compared to J.R. and king B.) As you said some of the things he was forced to do were just stupid. But he's been doing good work for the company for years now.
you forgot to put this rivalry in the video edge and booker t they had a storyline over a shampoo commercial edge and booker t had a match at WrestleMania 18
There should be a video Or maybe even a channel where backstage politics are exposed. Controversial type stuff, like the whole mcmahon issue right now. Is there any?
All of these bookings are examples of how out of date Vince McMahon was at the time up until his so called retirement in 2022 thank god we have triple h as the head of creative now

Honorable mentions:
1. Kane vs Kane
2. Rusev vs Bobby Lashley
3. Charlotte Flair vs Lacey Evans
Also Roman and the usos vs King Corbin and the Dirty Dawgs
@@palpatinerocks3260 Two words: dog food. 😆
God, that Bobby Lashley vs Rusev story was awful.
I forgot one from WCW. Sting vs. The Black Scorpion.

To this day I have no idea why the Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler feud went on for 3 PPV’s. Man this was so unwatchable and awful
Because they're amazing wrestlers and deserved the SPOT.

I passed the Jerry and Michael feud because it was funny
I have to honest, Michael Cole calling his fans “Cole Miners” made me spit out my drink in real time
Aj Lee said it best about the Bella’s, talent isn’t sexually transmitted
The thing i remember the most about GM laurinatis is his segments with Punk.

EVERYTHING about the Bellas is horrid. No business being in the business. AJ calling them out was outstanding.
Kennel From Hell in a nutshell: "Look at these vicious Rottweilers!" (dogs wag tails & give kissies, poop constantly)
And they fornicated in there too.
"Kiss my foot match" and one they at WM just shows how bad this feud was.

What doomed The Bella Feud was thier reality show Total Divas cause everyone see that it wasnt real
The Home Alone bit did make me laugh
"defamation after he called him bald" i had a great laugh with that one
My reaction when I heard this..."But he is bald."
Marc Mero and Sable are one of the many prime examples of wrestlers should not involve their personal lives into wrestling storylines.
In regards to the Bella Twins' feud, let's take AJ Lee's famous quote in account... "Talent is not sexually transmitted."
I'm sorry, but if there was ever a more literal meaning of the word shitshow, it would have to be the kennel from hell match
The funny part for me is that I see what they were going for. Like if the dogs hadn't shit everywhere it could have been a decently unique idea.

I didn't know Hornswoggled and Chavo were real life together until this video 😂
So bad that the Cruiserweight Title retired
Never saw the Home Alone skit but wish I had...sounds great!
Michael Cole vs lawler was most definitely the worst feuds ever but then again it was actually kindw funny at the same time
The Cole/Lawler feud, among other factors, is one reason I said “Farewell” to WWE for 12 years

Vince McMahon and Johnny Ace
There has never been a successful imposter gimmick in wrestling
Vince McMahon vs Stephanie McMahon 2003 should have been on the list too. Awful match and Linda had to throw in the towel to save her daughter!
