    There is definitely a genetic component. I have gone through so much stress and Hell in my life and yet I still have my marbles. I am so grateful!

      Funny thing is, there is no real causality between the dopamine level in the brain and schizophrenia. The idea that the high dopamine level causes the illness is from the correlation of hallucinogens like LSD and their influence on the dopamine level. Its not really known what causes the disorder or hallucinations in generell.

    well im scizo and if its true that i can be unaware of my behavior i must black out because i seem pretty normal to me

      Same, I work 50 hours a week and do a dang good job according to my bosses. I just have some delusions and paranoia and feel really weird sometimes but it is an illness that has a spectrum and some people can be high functioning and some can be low functioning. How are you doing 2 years later?
