Wonderful, Good to see you show how the latches work, I struggled to get it out before, so will give your method a try, as I need to Disable the DRL's Which turn on the dipped Headlights & rear whenever the key is turned to the First position. I don't want the headlights On, before starting the engine, especially on the freezing early mornings. Yes I have tried other methods shown on Y/T such as the indicator left & pull forward method, but does not work on my model 2012
Ditto. I did the same. The DRLs are a PITA. I spent an hour this morning buzzing out the switch and ended up disconnecting the 2 grey wires on positions 3 and 6 which seems to have done the job and not caused any problems (so far).

Mine was the same. Reach up behind it and push on the back of the switch while it's in the release setting. It took quite a bit of effort to get mine out after 10 years in situ but it did pop loose eventually.
