They said in their Discord that they have a patch already sent to Bethesda and are waiting on them to approve it. They also confirmed what you said in the video: they have no control over pricing once released and Bethesda has full control of all paid mods after release as well as whether or not they go on sale. Another thing I thought I'd mention is that rhey predict most of the promised features to be implemented by either two or so months and that once finished they plan on continuing StarSim into another creation involving salvaging and manufacturing ships. This is just the first of a 5 part series to massively transform Starfield.
That's great to hear. It's a great mod even in its current state, adding an amazing gameplay loop with the mining. Those coming features will make it a phenomenonal mod
@@superandy2k13 you can use it on an existing save. I did when I first bought it. However, according to the devs, you might not be so lucky as people have also reported the stations not loading in properly on existing saves. It's worth a shot though, certainly. Some future features may require a new game, though, but they'd be sure to let people know this when they come.
@@joeswanson3058A workaround for the station not appearing would be to go to New Game Plus instead of just starting a new game, you'd lose a lot less progress that way then just starting a new game
@@alien0gamer139 If it's the only mod you ever purchase, and you didn't get 1000 credits along with buying the upcoming DLC. IRL it's 700 credits, not dollars, and there are multiple ways to obtain 700+ credits. And I agree that 700 credits for the Vulture bounty is too high all by itself. I think it was a bad decision to price it above 250-500 credits.

The main problem that I have found with the way Bethesda deals with paid mods/creations even in the past is that the mods released didn't really have enough substance or were not really fleshed out or had no voice acting and they were asking for too much for the price. If they were promoting big weapon/armor packs , spells/power packages, big meaningful questlines, ship building and settlement building packages or new systems people actually want to see added to the game that were seamlessly integrated into the world and they were charging reasonable prices for, I don't think it would be as big of a problem. I personally think that $7 for a single quest is still a bit of a rip, but something like StarSim for $5, that actually adds new features and that looks like the dev is going to be updating it with even further features and fleshing it out for said $5 is a lot better value for money. I'm sure the mod author who worked on The Vulture quest creation and voice actors involved put in a lot of hard work for it, but I feel it should have been more of a bounty quest package with a bunch of quests for the new Tracker Alliance and not just a single one.
This mod looks cool and very much like Elite Dangerous when it first released, but this mod does need just alittle more to it before I get it and I do want it.
@@mediabrandslife - I doubt it will be necessary I'm sure they'll do it themselves but it takes time to create the interiors (multiple stations after all) and populate. They'll probably going to at least need to do some voicing of some NPC's, it's going to take a bit.

The road map helps a lot on selling this one over any other creation To answer why I think they will keep there promises is the paid creation is all about reputation if your reps im going to promises something and not deliver people will find out and look elsewhere. each paid mod is a long-term investment on a moder end they only get paid if someone pays for the mod
This mod seems very inspired by Egosoft's X3 or X4, maybe more the later. Also, as a verified and charging Creation Club content creator, I believe this dev group has an agreement with BGS to keep this up to date.
I’m divided as there are great payed mods, but others that aren’t so amazing. But it would be nice to see them reduce the restrictions so we can still get achievements on our games. I noticed that only Bethesda mods are allowed while the verified ones aren’t… that’s rather disappointing considering you would be paying for them.
I'm going to hold off until the mod is feature complete. The idea is amazing and I am totally on board with it. I'm just of the opinion that I am already playing one paid beta. I'm not interested in another one right now.

By the way. If anyone has noticed the cargo at 11:35 below the space station. I have encountered these when picking up materials/ destroyed enemy ships and they appear not far from you to pick them up. And it’s worse at the key because there so many of them it causes slow down. And if I move too fast at any direction it will freeze up. It’s a great mod but it definitely has some problems.

I think you need to do 25 missions to get to a point to manage a station or something, just something I saw looking via the CK while tweaking reward money for myself. As for actually being able to go on the space stations that'll probably take some time to do, as they need to make and populate the interior of multiple space stations.
The ships look like the Silent Runner / Star Semi (colours look closer to the first one though), wonder if they will be getting replaced by the new ships as time progresses Also noticed on the description that you either need to start a new game or go to NG+ to “activate” the POIs from this, unless that’s been updated already
I like it, but it will be much more useful when they add those coming features. I can see using it for resource gathering role play and bounty hunter/mercenaries. I am about mid-game and ready to push through the major quests and main quest in my current play-through. I wish I had it earlier. It will be quite useful to me whenever they add the ability to scan asteroids for what resources it contain.
the only thing that i feel really missing from this is options to mine things.. like update mining lasers has been a big part of what i want for a long time.. like minecraft where i can mine faster or longer. or have a perk of getting more resorces from what i'm mining... it be fun to use a Old Earth pickaxe to gather some things or a old earth sludgehammer.
I had two of the mods, one mod was the new companion npc, she required me to buy a drink from a bar in the Well - I was a lowly level character with no money and then I went to protect the Argos station against Spacers and got well enough to get the drink and companion who I will use to help out further with the StarSim Mining stuff and bounties from the non-paid side of the Tracker's Alliance.
Ye, 100%. Bethesda once again with the nickel-and-diming. And the thing that bugs me the most is that it's not just paid directly, but it's via their in-game store points system. So that 700 point mod you might have interest in? Well, sorry. That'll be 10 bucks and get that 1000 points one, because we don't do just 700 points. The fact that these awful store point mechanics have not yet been banned in certain countries is just baffling

The price won't increase. The mods will worth more than 5. You buy now if you want to support the author and want to take a peak of what is already there.
@@CrimsonFlyboy fair enough. Some of the mods on there are well worth it. However, if you are already on the cusp of a bad reputation, paid mods isn't the way to repair it. If so, make the items/missions available for free in game like Warframe does. You can farm anything in the game OR you can pay for it if you don't want to farm for it. There is a way to do it that doesn't look like a blatant money grab.
(Sarcasm on) Of course Bethesda should have offered the Vultur mod for free. After all, developers, translators and dubbers don't need to be paid. They're rich enough as it is. You can play on your current save, you just need to git it a few minutes to full install. It will give you two notifications, one when it's first installed, and another when it's done
If you're after the space station management mini game I'd hold off on purchasing it till your ready to go through unity. But if your content with the asteroid mining and bounty board missions. I'd grab it

the pricing of everything on the creation shop make a lot more sense knowing Bethesda determines pricing.
For 5$ this mod is definitely a lot more worth it with all it's feature compared to the 7$ Vulture mod from Bethesda

A bit disappointing that you can’t enter the stations but as a means to get minerals without having to setup and manage outposts is a large bonus.
I believe since the creation kit is out someone will add it to the game very soon.

When i try to do the protection missions the enemies wont spawn no matter what i try
Mine freezes up every other time I enter the argos. Tried deleting and reordering. Still doesn’t function properly ☹️
Did you try going to venus when you install, wait 24 hours on the planet, then save and reload that save
