I hate to say it, but it cost me $30 to go all by myself and get a no frills ticket. that's half a tank of gas for me. All I got was a medium popcorn and a hot dog and the ticket. I can understand the expense being a road block for some... yet I dont understand people who just see this great flick as "woke" just because there is a female lead. it's a great movie, I loved every minute of it, and hope they do the other one, Wasteland. It's just... the theater experience is getting too expensive
5 years!!!???) what other action movie in the last 5 years got close to touching this masterpiece? The only one I’ve seen that is as good as this one was fury road. Only action movie in history that can touch this is Terminator 2 and I still think this is superior.
You guys have to see this in IMAX. It is an experience!!!! Fantastic movie! Like watching Road Warrior for the first time on the big screen. It has that feel!!!!
@@almawoods532glad someone also liked that part🤣 Also at the very end when furiosa is asking him, 'do you remember me', he responds by saying do i get a clue😂
In many ways, I found Furiosa to be a superior experience compared to Fury Road. The Mad Max universe feels even more expansive and yet more intimate and layered. Furiosa compelled me to revisit Fury Road. An outstanding prequel.
I loved it. I loved how this movie felt a little more like the older movies, in that they explored the world through the weirdo characters he creates. while I still think Fury Road might be one of the greatest action movies of all time, this was such a great Mad Max film that builds out the world he created all the way back in the 70s
Furiosa feels like the narrative build up for fury road, being the finale big action set piece. Like rather than being put against each other, they deserved to be paired.
Just saw this movie twice! The second time i went to see it, was in IMAX. My fav scenes were definitely the war rig action scenes and the bullet farm action scenes. This movie is so epic. I luv it. Wat a ride!!!
Anya and Chris had so much chemistry and I was here for it. Also I never understood why people doubted the casting of Anya when she’s always been a brilliant actress.
Anya was amazing. Chris should win an Oscar for his role as Dementus. And Tom Burke as Praetorian Jack was incredible and I hope to see him again in the Mad Max franchise. This movie was a masterpiece.
I had the biggest grin once the first chase kicked in. Furiosa's mom was such a badass riding and sniping her way through the Wasteland to retrieve her kidnapped daughter. Also when the marauders showed up at the Citadel, the movie kicked into gear like going back home, it was such a blast to get back to that Fury Road world. It was a blast to witness the building of the first War Rig. What a juggernaut in action! Also it's neat that actors get to play several characters like Lachy Hulme is young Immortan Joe and Dementus's lieutenant. Josh Helman plays Scrotus and he played Slit in Fury Road. Elsa Pataky plays the Vuvalini sister kissing goodbye to Mary Jabassa, Furiosa's mom and she plays the disfigured motobiker in Dementus's gang at the end. It harkens back to Bruce Spence playing the Gyro Captain in Road Warrior and Jedediah in Beyond Thunderdome, the late Hugh Keays Byrne being The Toecutter and Immortan Joe in the Mad Max Saga without being related. It's like a theatrical troupe that gets to play multiple characters like re-enacting an ancient epic tale, continuity be damned, it's the stuff of myth and hearsay.
Harkens back to traditional stage play and traveling player troupe presentations (all too often long forgotten although just a moment ago in human history)
We’re SO lucky for witnessing George Miller’s intact creative autonomy over the MM universe (and honestly for all his endeavors as a filmmaker). It’s widely known how many tribulations the productions have faced during these years so I feel genuinely grateful for being able to watch it all. Furiosa is thrilling, now give me more wasteland!!
Just watched Furiosa, the movie was absolutely incredible, one of the best I have seen in a long time. The story, action, music all top notch, the cinematography was superb, beautifully shot, with various times of day, the night shots were a stand out. Chris Hemsworth absolutely stole the show as Dementus. George Miller is truly a visionary director and legend.
This is the most important thing to consider. If nothing else, you are voting for the franchise to continue instead of complaining that Mel Gibson isn't the leading actor.
I was shocked when the war rig had such a beautiful mural on as it seems like such a thing of beauty would be seen as a waste of resources but as it helps hold up Joe’s glory it makes sense in world and adds lore in such a beautiful way
As a MM 1 & 2 diehard, I really liked this and thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Miller did an amazing job and I think it fits well with Fury Road. Great cast but I think Anya was an absolute standout, loved her as Furiosa, she played an amazing role. Congratulations to everyone involved, I strongly believe this’ll become a classic Aussie film, very well done 👍👍
What I like from Dementus character is his twisted love to Furiosa, he saw himself on her and wants to make her just like him because he thinks that's how you can survive in wasteland.. really good movie..
Dementus is the most interesting and complex character in the film. In that long speech he made towards the end I also sensed that he hated what he had become to survive and feared that Furiosa would do the same. An outstanding performance from Chris.
Hemsworth was amazing, Anya was magnificent, but I absolutely loved Tom Burke’s stoic, generous Praetorian Jack. He was an amazing contrast to every other male Mad Max character!
Is it just me, or Praetorian Jack (played by the brilliant Tom Burke) looks so very, very fitting to be Solid Snake (Metal Gear)? His forehead's war paint looks very like Snake's bandana.
I love the dramatic effect of being completely overdosed by over the top 2 hour action , speed, machines & engines, shoot-outs, mass scences, crazy stunts and so on, but then the real big finale is a long , very emotional dialogue scence between chris and anya in the desert; this is outstanding for a blockbuster movie, this is the real art of writimg a movie and one of the many great skills of george miller!!
Thank You Mr. Miller and all of the movie crew for this amazing cinematic experience. You can feel every aspect of it was well thought through and that is the best compliment a movie can get imo. At the end of it I was truly wondering if I'd blinked even once. Too bad movies like this won't happen again. :/
I whatch this movie and I was impressed that the story connection between two movies by George Miller I hope there's gana be another mad max film another 10 years.
When I went to see the movie that's exactly the first thing I thought. He looks identically to Solid Snake. He should be hired to play that character if we manage to get a Metal Gear Solid movie
As much as I loved the music in Fury Road, I thought that it was great to have less epic music in Furiosa during the action scenes. It left more space for the sound design and the "mise en scene". It was cinema at its purest form.
great movie, way better than Fury Road (imo). Very cinematic, stunning visuals. That's an art. I was wondering how did they make it and started to look for bts. Can't remember last time movie made me do this
Movie of the year for me. By far. Loved every second of it and already went to see it a second time ! But waw, watching this, I realize there was even less CGI and VFX than I thought ! In 10 years or so people will look back on it and profoundly regret it performed so poorly at the box-office
For the life of me I can't understand why people just went 'meh' on this movie, it's an incredible piece of filmmaking, it's both ntertaining and has depth, all you want and need. And what kills me is that now we'll most likely never see the 3rd one, which as George said would be focused on Max and the year prior to Fury Road, it would've made it one of the great film trilogies of all time.
Absolutely loved the film, the action scenes are incredible. Loved the scenery and innovative vehicles. Have watched it several times already and seen different aspects each time. The stunts scenes are amazing.
This movie was so rich and enjoyable to watch. Even though I knew the outcome, I was still worried about potential things to come. This movie is very different from Fury Road - I felt the simplicity of Fury Road's story was a strength, but you had to pay close attention to the small details to not get lost. Furiosa was a more expanded story that seemed to cover more territory and I also found that to be a strength. The color grading was more realistic this time around, but I liked it both ways! At the end you can see how much higher resolution this movie was shot on and mastered in versus the 2k of Fury Road - a marked improvement in clarity.
All these comments are making me want to see it again. SO INTENSE! All the actors were amazing. There are a couple slow scenes but as Anya says: "You will not be disappointed"
The amount of dumb criticism about the use of CG in this film is appalling and completely unjustified. People don't seem to realize there's a ton of CG in 'Fury Road' as well. Miller even talked about it in interviews. All of a sudden, people care about the use of CG? I saw 'Furiosa' yesterday and I loved it. It's different than the first one, but if you only want more of the same, you're probably a very boring person. This film is unique like 'Fury Road' is unique. Deal with it.
There was a lot more leaked info, in part due to all the production problems, with Fury Road and it's practical stunts. Furiosa was a lot more hushed and I think people tended to assume it was cranked out on a sound stage.
And that's a fact. I saw Gone with the Wind a couple weeks ago in the theater, and that movie had very strong lead role for a woman. Frankly, I don't give a damn, if you don't like the CGI.
I went to the cinema 9 times for this film. Thank you George.
tom burke was so successful in playing praetorian jack, now I'm addicted to watching it❤

Alyla Brown killed it as young Furiosa. Anya Taylor-Joy killed it too.

Everybody killed it, its an amazing movie
That move she does when the bike ends up dragging one of the gang along by their neck, and the mom says 'good girl' fav part of the movie!
Absolutely loved this movie. I feel really bad people aren't going to the cinema en masse, because they're missing out.

maybe Chris Hemsworth's best role. Definitely looked like him having the most fun since Ragnarok and one of the all time great cinema villains!
I couldn't agree more! He stole the show and was amazing as Dementus.😂
No doubt i enjoyed seeing him out of a marvel movie be able to let loose
Loved his work in Rush, Extraction, even Blackhat, but this was definitely my favourite of his roles
It makes Fury Road when she gets to the green place even more heartbreaking
Was blown away by Chris Hemsworth. He absolutely nailed that loudly charismatic and also insane bad guy you can't help but like.
George Miller is a titan. George Miller is as large as cinema itself.
Chris really stole the show. You hated him but couldn’t help to laugh with him also Lol Absolutely brilliant performance. Probably his best ever.
Chris so good that u dont see Thor at all …
