Hello, Commander! 18:00 I'm glad you learned that flying at top speed will make you overshoot your destination. The blue bars on the side of the throttle show the "sweet spot" for your acceleration curve; it's always 75% throttle for every ship. It's recommended that you slow to 75% when the timer shows between 10 to 6 seconds left. Any later than that and you won't slow down enough. 75% throttle is also when your ship is most maneuverable too. As for landing at stations, it's definitely tricky at first. You do have to be properly aligned on the pad though, which your ship wasn't. I hope the next episode has success (as you said you had a few queued up). I definitely bought the module that does automatic landings ASAP. It can also handle landing on planets too, usually. Once you get better at handling your ship it'll just be as easy as getting docking permissions, flying up to the landing zone, stopping, and letting the ship land for you.
Thanks for the tip on overshooting, I definitely struggle with that later on but I do get the hang of landing pretty quickly though a issue I spend a dumb amount of time solving is paying back a space station for staying to long at their landing pad
