one of the most intelligent gamers ive ever seen. just jumping in without attacking or not attacking when your opponent is waking up gives you so much valuable information on how your opponent plays and what they'll do in future situations. pure genius.
one of the most intelligent gamers ive ever seen. just jumping in without attacking or not attacking when your opponent is waking up gives you so much valuable information on how your opponent plays and what they'll do in future situations. pure genius. plus all the timings, spacing, and bait gameplay... what a baller
While characteristically flawed & ranked as low tier; when used by a technically skilled players - such as Kuroda - he makes for an interesting, great-looking, diverse character, indeed. I just hope he will make an appearance in future iterations of S F. Does anyone know of this being a a distinct possibility?
That's just Q's neutral grab, and yea, you don't see it much. Most people tend to hold right or left, which is the animation where Q grabs the character and slams them into the ground. If you simply grab somebody without holding the joystick right or left, that's what you get.
Well... That doesn't exactly answer my question but whatever :3. Either way I don't agree with your opinion but I completely respect your ability to have one.
@MrGamerMan64 Honestly, yes. Well depends how you play. You've gotta perfect your motions and learn a lot about all the characters. You can't just mash reversals either and it isn't very friendly, but much MUCH more fun.
haha he loves that taunt! and sometimes uses it seemingly to bait his opponent while simultaneously taunting him, very entertaining and impressive, and demoralizing, damn
It's about the attitude. Phantom seems to know basics and just because he's presented as less skilled and capable he's insulted. Even the uploader jumps in on that. Phantom may have said something not wise but that shouldn't be a problem. That's normal, to recognize someone, in this case Kuroda, as just being really good but not understanding why he's so good. I could have made that statement about Kuroda and SF4, too, and I find the reaction inappropriate.
An argument doesnt neccasarily have to be a bad thing, but yeah. i have plenty of friends that suck at 3s but just prefer the speed and game mechanics over ssf4 to play casually or competetivly
Hmm but I'm still not sure if it isn't competitive, I mean you can still see certain players topping pretty consistently in tournaments. Also, isn't it a good thing that anyone can play? I mean some of my friends like playing but they don't care about being good, I'd like them to be able to play with them and have a fun time rather then them getting completely destroyed :/
I don't quite understand what the hype is about the whole debate between 3s and SSF4 accomplishes. I mean I personally think both games are amazing fighting games, and I, don't think one is better than they other. Can anyone please explain the whole dynamic of the argument please, I'm not trying to start a debate or anything I'm actually curious. Thanks a lot :)
Something about Sf3 strikes me as more solid than sf4. I'd rather watch sf3 competitive play over sf4 anyday. That said, do what you want because a pirate is free!
Almost everybody doesn't know about these things. The FGC is so extremely small compared to other communities and this is one reason why. Instead of just explaining what's going on and why it's high level (sports) you guys instantly throw insults. Please share your insights with "simpletons" like us even when we think we have it something down. That would be great.
@nemoooed ofc i know what moves hes doing i used to play this game in the arcades everyday of my life when it came out. Though now i converted to SSF4 and it doesn't mean he can't challenge himself he probably prefers playing 3s overall i was just making a suggestion no need to rage kid! xD
...and I find the reaction inappropriate. It's like fine art. Everyone gets that DaVinci was a great artist. But that doesn't mean that only art students and professors are allowed to talk about him. And even slightly uninformed comments are no reason to forbid people to state them.
Yep, they should have put parrying in SF4, gave it the same art style (despite the upcoming processing power of the next gen consoles) used the sames characters, and not have tweaked the mechanics and pace in any manner. Fans would be so refreshed. We could finally put 3S to bed forever. And 3D takes no creativity or effort. They just have to get a guy that looks like Ryu, put some sensors on him, take some photos in front of a green screen and... wala!
SF4 is just really beginner friendly and it takes away a lot from the competitive part, its a game anyone can play. The dumb-ed down inputs, HUGE reversal window, along with slow crappy game mechanics. focus attack is a horrible replacement for the parrying system. its mainly 3s players hating on sf4 because 3s takes a lot of skill and practice while sf4 is mainly matchups and mashing
People who like 3S wanted a new SF3 game. Whereas SF4 has more in common with SF2. It's really a matter of bitterness, I think. There aren't very many players of SF4 who really hate 3s. I suspect it's mostly a "Why don't all the players play my game instead of that one? They're stupid!"-type of scenario.
i love how Q does not have a defined "fight style"
he just beats the crap out of people lol
Best fighting style
Beat You to Fucking Death style.
まるで、TEKKENのMiguelのような型に捕らわれないスタイル。
His patience against that Necro was astounding.
I feel bad for whoever was playing as Necro. He didn't stand a chance lol 😟.
You have to have patience against Necro if you're playing Q.

Q just throw hands.
Man, even the turtling in this game is kind of cool to watch.
5:00
First time I've seen Kuroda use that grab as Q
I like when people respect a Q's wake up game even when the player has no meter...It's like I'm living in an alternate universe.
"NECRO JUST CAN'T SEEM TO GET IN!!"
I could watch Kuroda's Q all day xD
That necro match was the most frustrating thing I've ever seen
While characteristically flawed & ranked as low tier; when used by a technically skilled players - such as Kuroda - he makes for an interesting, great-looking, diverse character, indeed. I just hope he will make an appearance in future iterations of S F.
Does anyone know of this being a a distinct possibility?
i like how kuroda will purposefully sit himself in the corner.
his defense is perfect its unbelievable
I love the music of this game :)
his red parries are on point
How does this look better than the online edition of Third Strike released in 2011?
+ShadowZero-X- _(shrugs)_ Some ports simply aren't up to par; that's a fact of life when it comes to video games.
Yooooo its STK
....How is it any different?
You know, there's always
Easy
Normal
Hard
Very Hard
then......
Kuroda......
A skilled Q can beat any Chun-Li
Ever heard of 'the best winning move is to not play?'
That's just Q's neutral grab, and yea, you don't see it much. Most people tend to hold right or left, which is the animation where Q grabs the character and slams them into the ground. If you simply grab somebody without holding the joystick right or left, that's what you get.
Wow what a beast.
Man, I don't know what Kuroda has with that ground pound as a meaty, but it works.
8:22 that scared the shit outta me.
That Urien got disposed of.
That defense is outstanding i might just try to turtle a lil more to improve on mine.
Well... That doesn't exactly answer my question but whatever :3. Either way I don't agree with your opinion but I completely respect your ability to have one.
i lol'd at parry super in the beginning. i really need to learn option selects
@MrGamerMan64 Honestly, yes.

Kuroda turtles and baits WAAAAAAY better than jwong.
at 2:00 it seemed like a pretty strong ken player; kuroda got an "S" rank for that match lol
I would pay money for a DVD that was just Kuroda beating Chun-Li players as Q.
SIX TAUNTS
haha he loves that taunt! and sometimes uses it seemingly to bait his opponent while simultaneously taunting him, very entertaining and impressive, and demoralizing, damn
my god
Taunting 3 times give Q a boost
Oh so it's not a boost each time huh? That's a bit more fair I think but Damn that defense still
Not sure if you know this but the taunt is almost necessary, each time Q taunts it increases his vitality, it works up to 3 times
8:48 LE BOOT!
Tall characters have to low parry the first hit of ex-shoryu.
When were these plays? Or is this part of his DVD set?
@Sf3lp it would be so sick if Kuroda played SSF4 just saying.

now if only Q was in SSF4 how Kuroda would jump on that and be the next Daigo ahah xD.
I didn't mean for it to seem like I was trying to make an argument sorry XD I'm just more or less trying to create an opinion on the matter.
he is so fucking good.
An argument doesnt neccasarily have to be a bad thing, but yeah. i have plenty of friends that suck at 3s but just prefer the speed and game mechanics over ssf4 to play casually or competetivly
kuroda gave necro a bitch slap FTW lol
Total disrespect for dat chun
Hmm but I'm still not sure if it isn't competitive, I mean you can still see certain players topping pretty consistently in tournaments. Also, isn't it a good thing that anyone can play? If God was a 3rd Strike player... he would still lose.
What's with the grab at 4:55? I play Q and I've never seen or did it .
@MrGamerMan64 Very.
@nemoooed umm yes!
5:14
Double parry into jab like a boss.
8:19 what hate!
Lmfao that part really had me laughing, what’s crazy is that Q proceeded to stomp her head in once match was over
I don't quite understand what the hype is about the whole debate between 3s and SSF4 accomplishes. 9 years and not a single reply lmao
Something about Sf3 strikes me as more solid than sf4. I'd rather watch sf3 competitive play over sf4 anyday. That said, do what you want because a pirate is free!
O.O
Whatever happened to the Kuroda vs RX videos???

@Nemod6989 GGPO son!!
ok im done with you.
@woonam
The grab being Cl. mk?
Goddamn it Kuroda play Daigo please -_-
@DeathNote I agree thats why if he were to touch SSF4 he would win all the time over him xD!
Is there a lot of people who still play this game online on Xbox Live?
3:56 WTF Kuroda got thrown????
...and I find the reaction inappropriate.
It's like fine art. Everyone gets that DaVinci was a great artist. But that doesn't mean that only art students and professors are allowed to talk about him. And even slightly uninformed comments are no reason to forbid people to state them.
@RetroDoom
Why would he play on a shitty console against laggy scrubs, when he can just go to the local arcade
ssf4- shit. SF3rd Strike gaming heaven.
If ken does an ex shyrou, hugo will have to parry more hits than makoto.
*HMM*
Yep, they should have put parrying in SF4, gave it the same art style (despite the upcoming processing power of the next gen consoles) used the sames characters, and not have tweaked the mechanics and pace in any manner. Fans would be so refreshed. We could finally put 3S to bed forever.

victorious
that red urien is garbage
@phant0m9o5 Kuroda is way better than Daigo.
"while parries in 3s are equal for every character" - nope, some characters are taller
@itzjordaNN negative xD!
lol alright... im just saying
3s to me seriously shouldnt have a tier list. Q played well is fucking tough to beat
you can also not care about being good in third strike. theres really no argument there. 3s = skill wins, sf4= matchup wins
I read that Q is ban in japanese tournaments cuz of kuroda. Is that true?
SF4 was supposed to be in 2 D(NOT LIKE 2D),with parrying.It would be a beautiful game.Long story short they FUCKT IT UP.I'm sorry it's true...
@nemoooed oh i know about parrying and spacing and cross ups do you know of any of these things i bet you dont. simpleton.
SF4 is just really beginner friendly and it takes away a lot from the competitive part, its a game anyone can play. Hoo boy, sf5... Can we talk about that?
People who like 3S wanted a new SF3 game. Whereas SF4 has more in common with SF2. It's really a matter of bitterness, I think. There aren't very many players of SF4 who really hate 3s.
I suspect it's mostly a "Why don't all the players play my game instead of that one? They're stupid!"-type of scenario.
Bro, I love both of those games.
"dumb", "crap", "mashing"...Yeah... Quit ur complaining
bad player 2 is bad lol
