A few years back we did a video making one of our leather lighter cases as one of our first videos. We decided to revisit that project, this time walking you through how to make your own in a step-by step tutorial! These leather cases are great for around the shop, they're also great to sell at craft fairs and markets or wherever you might sling your goods. With a very simple pattern, all you need is a split ring to complete your own leather lighter case!

So I figured...I’ll buy the pattern, it’s only a buck! I did, works great. I’m sewing up one the next morning and my wife walks in and says you can’t use the Credit Card for a few days, we got compromised, I asked how? She said somebody put $1.00 on the card, probably phishing us so I called, cancelled the cards and they are sending new ones in 4 days. Ah honey...I put 1 dollar on the card...

I have just started getting into DIY leather projects, inspired by you! You do an amazing job talking through the work. You make it look way easier than it is! I will be printing off a pattern as soon as I get home! Can't beat the price!

I just finished this as my first project. I probably didn't spend as much time on basic skills as you suggested in you getting started vid but it still turned out okay. Too excited to get to a project lol. I have been so inspired your videos. Thank you so much. I have so much to work on with neatness and edge finishing but I am on my way thanks to you! The patterns on your website are so helpful.

It’s about 10:45pm. I’m making one out of moose hide because my veg tan is too heavy at 10oz and my skiving knife hasn’t arrived. We’ll see how it comes out. Great video and project.

And at that point, should you use a sealant on the leather or is that not needed?
Could you use a dye and then a sealant too after the wet molding and drying etc.
