    A SIMPLE Leather Apple Airtag Case Tutorial
    Kayleena got Apple Airtags for the holiday and we figured why not make a simple pattern and tutorial on a cool, easy Airtag case! Apple sells their case for around $35, these can be easily made with small scrap from your scrap pile and a couple snaps. Make sure to follow the pattern so that your stitch line allows the airtag to slide into the leather case, and have fun!

    It looks good, the only criticism I would offer, might be to extend the flap for the snap maybe a few millimeters so you can add a small stitch line the keep the split ring captive so it's less likely to become separated.

    I was having issues keeping long cuts straight, working with 2mm natural veg tan leather, the Dahle A2 rotary trimmer is great to work with. But 2mm thick is about the practical cutting thickness of this trimmer. I'm prototyping a kinda niché product. Hope it works out. The Dahle is lovely to work with, done some practice cuts on off cuts. Lines gotta be straight. Curves have to be in proportion, but that's another story.

    Hey! My name is Max. I intend to organize the production of hand tools. I need to figure out a lot of details that I can rely on when making such an instrument. I want to ask a few questions to people who use such a tool. For the most part, I'm interested in leather craftsmen. May I know what tool do you use most often in your production and what tool is almost useless? Which manufacturing companies are best for you? And what do you rely on when choosing a tool? What do you think is the basic set for a beginner and an experienced master of your craft? What do you lack or find it difficult to find from the necessary tool? Are you using a premium tool? If yes, what exactly? Maybe in the tools of some company you noticed shortcomings, or vice versa, something especially surprised you on the good side? Any details are very important to me, as well as your individual opinion. Thanks in advance for your time.

    Can anyone explain what he did while stringing the needle ? Did he just tie it off so it doesn’t slip ? Wouldn’t a knot make it harder to sew ? I’m just starting out so I appreciate the help.

    • @Taliesin6
      @Taliesin6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      he poked the needle through the middle of the thread (like thickness, not halfway between both ends of the thread) after putting the thread through the eye so the thread doesn't slip out of the eye while sewing.

    Ya know, all of your audio problems could be resolved by the simple addition of a wireless clip-on mic. You can get a good one for around $26 on Amazon.

    • @Corter
      @Corter  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      yea we like that an external mice lets ambient noice from the leatherwork in, LAV mics make everything sound very sterile besides just my voice - once we get the mic dialed in it'll sound really nice and allow some ambient noise

    Great design, great video. But frankly, a channel of your size putting out such bad audio should not be an option. You should have redone the video or done a voiceover. If The Algorithm gets its paws on this video, your future videos will get less traction because of the poor audio.

      We had 2 days between Christmas and New Years to get a video out, as I said in the beginning I apologize and we've got it sorted. Were the content behind a paywall, I'd fully agree with you - but this is a free youtube video and we're working through a whole new gear setup. I apologize it was so upsetting :)
