A lot of time and practice to master the basics. To give you an idea of Paul's level, it's like discovering a computer for the first time. For you, this is your beginner level. And Paul knows perfectly how to manage the software installed on the computer (file explorer, internet browser, text editor, spreadsheet, etc ...). FrenchGuy ;)
You have certainly mastered this machine, as someone who has just started working with the 06 and done my first couple of tunes, it is great to see the potential in the coming years for me. Thank you.
Thanks for the encouragement, George. It's hard to stay motivated since there are so many better videos out there - but I've started working on a new one and hope to post it soon.
Great tutorial from somebody who knows his stuff. Off topic,I’m thinking of taking the plunge on a Fantom. I want to sample my vinyl to the Fantom. How do I hook up my turntable amp to the Fantom. Can I do this directly with a cable (What inputs) from the amp straight into the Fantom.
Hi - you sure can! You can come in with the stereo 1/4" jakcs, or through the balanced mono mic jack. Just be sure to enable the Audio In option on the Fantom, via Menu/Effects Edit/Audio In (select Line In or Mic as appropriate). I would use an Aux Out from your amp or mixer, or come directly from the turntable. Good luck!
Hey Paul, can you please point me to the video where you explain your vocal recording into Ableton through the Fantom via mono channel. I’ve watched it but can’t find the description again
Hi! I record eight mono vocal channels in #21 (th-cam.com/video/PWhY2G3Fr0g/w-d-xo.html) but I talk more about the set up in #13 (th-cam.com/video/WYdZa86xs_c/w-d-xo.html). Hopefully that's what you were looking for? Let me know if you're stuck and maybe I can help. The set up can be tricky!
Very informative. At the 2:00 mark you mention the click track on "All Right Now" but if you listen to this part of their song, I think you will agree that it is most likely someone playing claves. th-cam.com/video/lSdBtoIIYT4/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared&t=168
I agree that part sounds pretty human... I don't see how the rest can sound exactly the same every time, but maybe someone was really that good? How will we ever know for sure? Someone needs to find out from the studio!
Wow, you are fast with with the interface handling :) Love this machine. It's everything i have wanted for years! So user friendly.

Very nicely explained - you have a great way of getting to the heart of things.
I hope you continue to make new videos. They are informative and inspiring.
