I would get the IX&DAO but there are people who can’t or won’t, and I’m. glad this exists, and it’s a great deal for the money. Someone also said the IX&DAO bracelet fits on this Tandorio. Just sayin’ 🤔 Although I haven’t found a site that sells just the IX&DAO bracelet.
I would too and I can’t say I’ve come across anywhere where you can buy the bracelet by itself, I’ll keep you posted though if I do see it mate 👍👍
I just purchased the red fumée dial on the stainless steel bracelet. It should arrive in the next weeks! This one is a no brainer IMO. Good value for the money. Some Aliexpress stores are now offering brushed metal hands to help with the contrast.

I bought the sterile white dial version on the Ali 11/11 sale for $65 usd. So far I'm really enjoying it. My only gripe would be with the edge distortion and lack of AR coating on the crystal. Still, I live with it knowing it's sapphire. I know folks get really nit-picky about watches, but for me, it's a lot of watch for the money, and overall I'm very satisfied with it.

Wow that lack of ar coating really messes with this one, definitely something that they need to include on future releases. Other than that it’s a looker from what I can see, great review as always.
Most definitely mate. I was really hoping that they had found the AR coating for this one unlike other watches I’ve seen from them, unfortunately not though. I hope you’re well and would be good to catch up at some point 👍👍

Ok , thanks..I wasn't sure if there is some sort of general rule of thumb regarding sizing , such as,,, if you get the diameter right then it will generally fit all watches.
I sort of accidentally bought one of these watches on a buy it now sort of thing but the price was so good that I kept the order going.
I don't have it yet but I am sort of thinking that a bigger set of hands and maybe a new AR crystal if possible.
I see that you can get a different colour dial directly from Tandorio so if I can't get AR I might change it to a white dial if clarity on the black dial doesn't work for me.
I paid $80 Canadian for it so I have a little wiggle room for mods.
Ok for the price. I reckon it’s worth spending the extra to get the Ix, it seems less of a compromise than this one. I realise the Ix is a lot more expensive. I don’t think I would be satisfied with this one.
I think you sum it up perfectly. Like you, prior to getting in the Tandorio in I thought it would be the perfect budget alternative but, after having it in, I was of the same opinion as you mate 👍👍
I ended up buying this in red. Looks good but the crystal is not good.
I would go for the white dial. I find black hands against black dial is a little hard to read.
Good point Bill, would definitely help against the white dial, even if the AR coating still creates a few issues, would help a tonne with legibility 👍👍
I have both and the light dial version in person is actually more silver than white. Lovely watch and the legibility is excellent. I like the dark dial too, but it needs to have the hands switched out. Can’t make the time unless I hold it under a lamp. LOL

Nice one Simon. It's a very nice watch and for the price there can be no complaint. My only issue of course is the water resistance asI do use my divers as dive comp backups but that won't be an issue for most people and the alternatives aren't that cheap. Tandorio aren't exactly known for water resistance reliability.
I know what you mean mate and you can’t say I’ve had a problem with the WR of a Tandorio. The only thing I’d say, most watches on Ali don’t have certified divers, so it’s a risk you take really. Have a great weekend my man 👍👍
@@WatchtheTime Very true Simon. I have a good experience with a Steeldive and a Heimdallr that perform perfectly scuba diving, though 2 of the 3 Tandorios rated at 200 tested by Gary on I like watches failed at 30m. As long as you don't get them very wet, they're fine I'm sure. 👍👍

I just got an unmarked (no logo) Tandorio watch fur $70. This is a very nice watch. Itooks like a Seiko dive watch.

They also make a "series" of this homage much closer to the original in looks. I understand moving the hour markers in given the handset choice on this one.

I bought one with the black face and i couldnt see the hands on the dial. I couldnt read the time.
I ended up buying a sterile red dial and switching it out. A no date dial from Tandorio.
Now i like it but i still might change the hands. They are a little small plus while the dial has good lume it isnt much use if you cant see the hands because the lume is not good on the hands.
I dont have a problem with the lack of anti glare coating. Its fine for me. I dont even notice on the red dial.
I put it on a medium brown leather strap and it looks good
now. I wear it quite a bit.
The red dial salvaged the watch.

I'm conflicted about all three of these lookalikes. They are a bit flavour of the month and I've noticed such watches come down in price considerably in time. The Steeldive "Willard" was over £100 on first appearance. I still have money in the kitty for the IX&DAO but I might give it a miss this time round. Ali sales go on for ever even though 11/11 gets all the attention. Looking forward to seeing the new gloves. I was going to suggest a "Go Fund Me". 😉😉

I have the black and I really struggle in the daytime to see the time there's zero AR on the watch and it takes a second glance to actually see the time a nice watch but the AR kills it for me so ill be getting this out of my collection sorry to say great review

Poor lume, nh -35 is ok, but these affordable watches really blow it when you can’t read it at night.

Got one three years ago it was fine .got one a week ago it was defective in every way mis alighned bezel,and dial.poor lume hands were hardly lumed at all .buyer beware
